Close to Swindon, easy to get to from Station, lots of parking, nice big rooms, good spa, swimming pool etc facilities, tennis court, British breakfast, comfortable bed.
To get to a Cotswolds village still takes about 30 minutes. For the price of room we should have had bottled water there and a fridge, as well as USB charging points. Also would have expected robes and slippers in room and robes in swimming pool. Breakfast alright but would have liked more fresh veg and meat, as well as coffees like lates as these were extra at £4 each.

Check-in very simple and straightforward. Plenty of parking space at the hotel entrance. The first thing we noticed was how clean our room was. It was a large inviting room, with a nice area to sit and read a book. The tea making facility was lovely with good quality tea coffee and biscuits, with the bonus of a fridge to store our milk. The bathroom was large, bright and clean. The bathroom included a bath and separate shower. Good toiletries included. The bed was possibly the most comfortable we have ever slept in. We only had a small amount of food whilst staying here and it arrived hot and in good time. The bar area is really nice and we managed to spend our evenings here having a few drinks. Lovely atmosphere. The staff were kind and pleasant to make conversation with, even though they were very busy at times. The grounds of the hotel were clean and tidy, and the whole area was peaceful. We took a lovely walk around the grounds on our first evening. We did view the swimming pool area, it looked very inviting but unfortunately on this occasion we didn't have the time to try it out. Staff at the pool reception were also friendly and knowledgeable. We would stay here again in an instant!
There was not anything we didn't like. Our whole stay was really nice from start to finish. Staff and surroundings made this a pleasant comfortable place to stay.

The staff were friendly, professional , and a top rate team to be proud of. When we arrived, there were 2 separate functions in progress & I was concerned about potential noise etc however the hotel & facilities are so vast & designed in such a way that had we not known they were on we we wouldn't have known they were taking place. Carries bar was a great area for us to be together as a multi generational family, we loved the opportunity to spend time together in a relaxed & excellently run amenity. Since booking the hotel I have had to undergo major surgery which meant I was unable to use the leisure facilities which was disappointing however members of our family were able to do so & they loved it. I loved the memorabilia on the walls & it is clear that this is hotel with family values which understands & appreciates it's community.
This is clearly a base for coach holiday groups and combined with two functions over this weekend it did affect our breakfast experience on the first morning. We had gone down to breakfast later rather than earlier in the knowledge that a coach party were likely to have an earlier breakfast however this did impact on the levels of food available which weren't replenished so perhaps something to keep an eye on. The second day with less people staying was a much improved experience. Coffee was not as good as I would have hoped, perhaps a think about serving cafetiere & teapots to individual tables ? Also, the veggie sausage, suggest Quorn, Richmond, Heck rather than the vegetable versions.

Pool and spa
It would be nice if pool opened at 7am to beat the rush at 8am where its busy for a few 1 hr or so before people ate at breakfast(This was bank holiday so maybe normally its not busy in morning?) You have a lovely Yamaha grand piano that isnt being used in carries bar, such a shame.Just screaming to be played Perhaps someone could play once in a while,or maybe it has an option to play it itself or maybe move to the flame restaurant and play it there. Im sure it will be a nice ambiance

Lovely room with a huge double bed. Nice and warm when I turned the radiator up and a table to do my PC work. I was warmly met at reception both on entry and on exit. Breakfast was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I didnt use the facilities as I was very tired. Slept well and it was nice and quiet. The shower was an AquaLisa that I have at home and it was invigorating and warm
I really couldnt fault this stay as everything was geared to the customer. If I had to say anything the breakfast buffet was warm rather than hot but very well cooked.

We had a lovely weekend here with our kids. The swimming pool, gym and spa area were really good, plenty of breakfast available, and a good selection of meals for dinner too. Everything was clean and well looked after and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a family room with bunk beds in the main hotel initially but it was too small for four so we moved to the Pavillion (separate building). The room there was much better with a massive bed and good bathroom. It was however very hot and the thermostat made no difference.

Lovely location, good sized room that was well appointed, good breakfast - that we had as room service as a treat.
There was a scheduled power outage for the following morning from 8am. While this wasn’t the hotel’s doing (and was actually cancelled anyway), they should have informed guests at booking in case that significantly affected their plans. Also a staff member knocked on our door and walked straight in at 1030am, when I was just in a towel and it was 30 mins before checkout time..!

- Gym and pool facilities were excellent. Pool was a lovely heated temperature. Gym equipment was really good quality and clean. Staff were super friendly. - Lovely reception space with plenty of spaces to relax and chill away from crowds. The reception team were also very friendly and helpful. - Cafe/Bar. The bar at the end of the hotel was lovely and clean with a great selection of food served across the day. - Ample parking. - The rooms were spacious and clean, with a hair dryer, ironing board and iron provided. Comfy spacious beds. - Dinner in the restaurant was a good quality and worth the price. Breakfast also had plenty of options and great quality. Great hotel. With friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again.
- The walls in the hotel are clearly very thin. You can hear the people in the room next to you and in the corridor with ease. This found us whispering to try and keep some privacy. - Although the staff were super friendly. The restaurant really struggled serving only a handful of tables. Bringing out food at wrong times, forgetting parts of orders, just generally panicking and running around. Even the two tables either side of us experienced the same issues. (This could have just been a one off however). - We noticed on other reviews that guests mentioned drinks being expensive. This is absolutely true! The price of drinks are heavily inflated. Found myself paying £13 for a J20 plus a small Malibu and coke.

Breakfast was great, wide choice and well organised. Good ambience and appreciated the family memorabilia and sitting room with the gentle jazz background music. Dinner was great. The choice of draft beers was very good and they were well kept.
The replacement towels provided after the room service were rather tatty. The duvet cover on the bed could not be closed so rode up resulting in feet lying directly on the duvet itself.

We stayed in 4 Exec rooms in the Pavilion building as a family get together. The main part of our stay that we all enjoyed was how accommodating the staff were and how nothing was an issue. Loved the pool / tennis court / fitness suite access - made so easy to use. The kids games area was a massive hit, as well as the colouring/activity sheet kids menu. And the kids club was great (though we didn’t know about it till our last night). The food was genuinely all excellent and very reasonable which we just hadn’t expected from a hotel. And we liked how the entire menu was available all day, ie the light bites weren’t reserved for lunchtime only etc, because, why should they be :-) Honestly an excellent stay, we were all so pleased and can’t wait to go back again!!
The only comment any of us had was the reception staff welcome - the girl wasn’t necessarily rude, she just couldn’t really be bothered to speak or give us any information, which is basically all we expected from her so we had to ask all the questions…. All of our groups 4 rooms checked in separately and everyone commented on how entirely disengaged she was - same the following day when we needed to go back for a replacement key card….just a bit odd and not what you’d expect from someone in that role…..?
