We purchased two rooms, the kings suite and a double bed room and both where absolutely lovely. The Kings Suite was absolutely lovely with a gorgeous bathroom. Lots of elements to the rooms which was a lovely perk like teas, coffees, hot chocolates etc. As we were staying for work, we found the rooms also equipped with ample plug sockets which I know seems like a random thing to mention, but something that was appreciated. Plenty of towels, Free WiFi, The Staff were lovely and helpful, Can't fault my stay and would definitely stay again and plan to.
Nothing major I would change, I guess the only potential downside is the lack of parking. With it being a Hotel and pub / restaurant, there are only 6 parking spaces and limited street parking, however, because we stayed on a Thursday night this wasn't an issue. Again, I know nothing can be done but something to consider. (There could be more parking elsewhere, we didn't venture much further than the hotel).

The room was lovely, ensuite and allowed privacy at the back of the pub. Lovely area, nice town to look around. Ideal location for exploring neighbouring towns / cities too. The pub itself was good, nice atmosphere and friendly locals.
The location was great for us but getting a taxi was expensive as it was a smaller town. The local driver was lovely but we limited our travel plans because it was expensive. The local bus was fine but a bit of confusion to how often due to differing timetables (not any fault of the pub 😊).

The property was small but perfect for what we needed for the night. It was well kept, modern, and tidy. The facilities were clean and well looked after. Amenities were provided and it was comfortable. The pub is on the main bus route to Laverstoke/Bombay Sapphire Distillery so it was easy to get to where we needed. Ps the food at the pub was very good. Calamari, nachos and burger was ordered. The servings were generous and meant we were full to the brim. Fully recommend eating here. The breakfast was excellent as well.
My only issue was the bed which I found a little hard for my liking but this was the only issue.

The staff were very good. They were friendly and attentive. We had lunch and evening, both which were good and tastey and also good value.
The room was small which is fine for the price, but it could have done with another bedside table and also somewhere to hang clothes, I appreciate that the room is small but some imagination could come up with something, maybe poles coming out of the wall with hangers on them?

The room decor and cleanliness were excellent. Had a great sleep in a comfy bed and the en-suite shower room was also modern and clean. Access to the room was from the car park so, could come and go with no need to go through the main building.
Possibly the smallest room I have ever rented in a hotel or pub. The room had a double bed and there was maybe a metre of space around the three sides. I was only staying one night so it did everything I needed but just seemed small and a bit expensive compared to a chain hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff who put themselves out to help us after we broke down and had to be towed to the hotel. Food was excellent and all freshly cooked. Beds very comfortable. Good old fashioned hospitality. Tea Coffee bottle of water and toiletries plus hairdryer all available in rooms and if you forget your charger ect they are happy to lend you one you only have to ask. Highly recommend
The only minor problem we had was the blinds in the room let the light from headlights in when traffic turned the corner at night. Room wasn't dark enough when trying to sleep.

The pub/hotel is a very old building and has a lot of old charm about it. The rooms we stayed in had been newly refurbished and were so comfortable, the beds, pillows, drinks facilities, bathroom were excellent as was the cleanliness. We had a breakfast before leaving which again was excellent. My only comment would be that the car park is too small, although there is an alternative one just down the road and there were some steep stairs to our rooms which may be difficult for some people. However I really enjoyed my stay and all the staff were so kind and helpful, would definitely stay again.

It was good value for money and the staff were friendly. The property has real character and was just as comfortable as soleless chain hotels of a similar price.
It isn't for everyone as it is an older building with it's quirks, like the hot water taking time to make it up to the room (but you also get the charm of an older property) . Also, there is not enough parking so we had to park in a public lot a few minutes walk away (but it was still free). I'm sure the property could probably be noisy if there was an event on at the pub, but that's to be expected when you stay at a pub with rooms so it comes with the territory.

If you want somewhere that looks like the Ritz, this is not it!, if you want somewhere that treats you like your were at the Ritz, feels like the Ritz, then you have found it. Staff were very friendly and attentive some of the walls need a lick of paint, but the atmosphere is very homely and comforting and the bed was to die for, so comfy, Shower had instant hot water and the location is quiet, I loved it!
For a one night stay, not a lot, it was great!

We arrived earlier than check in and because our room was ready we were allowed to check in early. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. There is a very friendly tandoori takeaway across the road and the village is nice to wander round. The nearby silk mill is definitely worth a visit!
It didn't bother us at all (quite the opposite) but bear in mind it's a pub hotel if you like silence.
