The view of Bras d'Or Lake from our window was gorgeous. The room was very nice and clean. We were surprised to have daily cleaning service as most hotels have gone away from that. The restaurant was nice for breakfast. The fireplace came in handy on a few cool, damp mornings while we were there. Loved that Baddeck was right in the middle of the island so distances to get to everything else were quite reasonable.

We had neighbors one night who managed to make quite a bit of noise about 3 a.m. It was interesting that they only had the fireplace for heating the room and no actual furnace. The fireplace definitely warmed the room up but wouldn't maintain a temperature without turning it on and off. The parking near the room had fairly narrow spaces and the space between the building and the parking spaces made it a bit tricky getting in and out.

The heating in the room was very noisy and when it switched on during night, it woke us up every time. One evening there was no hot water, as there were some issues with pipes, but when we informed the staff, they fixed it within 2 hours or so. Restaurant was closed, since it was outside season, but there were two caffees close, we had nice breakfast there.

We were pleasantly surprised by this property to find our room had obviously been completely renovated and was really lovely and spacious, and provided us with a beautiful view of the water. We also enjoyed having access to the Adirondack chairs outside on the lawn to enjoy the view from there as well. The bedding was also lovely and comfortable and the full-sized towels in the bathroom were very nice to have.

There was nothing we didn't like about the property.

convenient location for walking to restaurants, shops and starting point if you're driving the Cabot Trail. Restaurant staff was friendly and helpful, room was good size and clean. Sufficient options for breakfast buffet. Quiet location.

We were able to hear the upstairs guests walking around, but to be expected in an older building. We should have requested top floor. Breakfast buffet could use more fresh options(berries?)

We found this a great location near to restaurants, the harbour and other services in Baddeck, and a good base for exploring other parts of Cape Breton. The rooms were spacious and clean.

We were at the back of the inn and unfortunately near the table where staff meet for their morning break. The smell of the cigarette smoke that wafted into our rooms was unpleasant to say the least.

The Inn was lovely with clean, comfortable rooms, a beautiful setting and gracious staff. The restaurant food was delicious and enough to have plenty of left overs.

Unfortunately, there had been a power outage shortly before we arrived and we had no wifi for both of the days/ nights we were there. It was a minor inconvenience and certainly not the property’s fault.

The suit and bathroom were really clean, white towels, beds were super comfortable. Everything was exactly as announced. Perfect view from the window. The staff at the reception and in the buffet ( breakfast) was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty.

Breakfast could have had more options for almost $ 16 per person, especially fruits. There was no cheese and plain yogurt.

The property is a good value and in a good location with free parking. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet.

The room (especially the bathroom) was a little dated. The shelving area in the bathroom was awkward. There were not enough plugs. We upgraded to a room with a view and it was a sliver of a lake view, but we didn't spend much time in the room. If you stay in the block of rooms in the back on the second floor there is only stair access (no elevator). We had to ask for more towels. I wish there was a chain lock on the door, I always feel safer with this option.

Breakfast is not provided but can be purchased in their restaurant.

There is only one microwave on each floor so you must be dressed properly to go use it and may need to wait on others. The 2nd floor has instructions in French, the 1st floor has instructions in English. Why couldn't both languages be available at the microwave?
