What I liked about the property was how beautiful the rooms were and how the property was well maintained, swimming pool so clean and inviting, cut lawns just a beautiful place to be. The lovely Manager ( wife of owner ) by the name of Katerina was just so welcoming. Katerina was just a warm lady who radiated happiness when I met her. Katerina explained everything to me to make my stay comfortable and YES YES YES it was a beautiful stay and the bed was out of this world. Katerina even had posters up in reception explaining hygiene practices after Covid. I would highly recommend Alexander the Great to anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay with great staff great rooms and a swim in the beautiful swimming pool and very reasonably priced. Thank you Katerina for making my over night stay a beautiful one. I will definitely be telling my family and friends about your motel.

We were travelling down from the far north coast of NSW for an overnight stay close to an an activity we had planned for the following day. The location afforded us the opportunity to get some dinner from the many options in Windsor and go back to our room to recover from the long drive and relax in comfortable surroundings before a good nights sleep. As we were arriving after 9.30pm, we sent an email advising the staff of this late check in time. My daughter was able to complete check in on line as I drove and they arranged to leave our room key for our second floor room under the doormat. It was a very easy process. Yes, it is on a main road but the rooms are very quiet and the heater worked very well.

No real issues to report

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, very happy to help. The location was great. It was close to what I needed. There was plenty of food choices from an on-site Chinese restaurant to Maccas, KFC, just down the road. The bed was comfortable and it had a microwave but no plates or cutlery. Tea n coffee was provided n a toaster. It was a spacious room and the bathroom had a walk in shower and had room to move about .

The only thing I could say was that if you have a toaster n a microwave in a room it makes sense to provide cutlery, bowls n plates.

We came down for National Club Futsal Championships and needed a place to stay, close to the Hawkesbury PCYC. Alexander The Great was perfect. Just a short drive to Windsor. The room was very comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Banging my head on the laundry door frame. My fault really, was wearing a hat and didn’t see the “Watch your Head” sign above the door.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, quiet and clean. Even the towels smell very nice and were soft. The beds were comfy. We couldn't ask more for this price level. It also felt quite safe.

Location is not close to the city center which wasn't an issue for us but could be an issue for one that doesn't have a car.

Nice clean rooms. Good facilities. Tea and coffee, etc, the usual standard and expectation of a decent Aussie motel. Location is not central but an easy drive to town and surrounds. Beds comfortable and clean. Great communication from staff and seamless check-in and check out even when reception is closed. Plenty of local restaurants deliver food despite a Chinese restaurant outside the door. There are other options.

Bed lights had no globes. Iron needs replacing (or base cleaned), and ironing board cover also needs to be replaced. Bit out of town, but that was fine. Downstairs can be a smidge noisy if guests are upstairs, but it's really not an issue.

The Manager was very welcoming. Staff were most pleasant. Towels were thick and thirsty; the room clean and well prepared. Nothing was lacking in the room.. Everything you would need was available. We stayed three nights and would have happily stayed on. We have found our base for future Sydney visits.

Could not complain about anything.

Nothing to fault. On older property that has been updated beautifully. Staff were friendly. Room was clean as a whistle, comfortable and has everything we needed.

Our stay was perfect. No complaints. Only suggestion would be to have plates and cutlery in rooms for times when reception isn't open to grab some.

Was in a great location. It was very easy to get to where I needed to be. Was quiet, you didn’t notice road noise. The room was very clean; with basic tea/coffee making available. Staff were very friendly, with an eye for detail within the room. Very convenient next door is a Chinese restaurant, an excellent meal can be enjoyed.

My only request would be to use a lot less room deodoriser; very strong and no amount of airflow reduced it. The mattress was very soft; no back support. I always end up in the room at the foot of the stairs. I don’t like the fact that people can stand on stairs landing and look straight into your bathroom.
