Location was good, staff were excellent! Our room 25 could have better if two lounge chairs had been provided given it was a large room. Also the bed mattress was very soft and not good for our preference

The rooms were very well appointed with a generous tea and coffee tray and bathroom toiletries. The food was high quality served by friendly staff. I liked the Feathers decorative theme.

The room looked lovely but was quite airless and hard to cool down, even with the small fan provided.

All was good. Room was great. Quiet location.

My gluten free sausage was very lonely on its own and didn’t taste of anything. I would have preferred a member of staff to show me to the room which was a few minutes walk away.

It was a great venue, The only constructive criticism I would have would be that if someone was in the shower and someone flushed the toilet the person in the shower would get burnt by hot water. The water system needs to be balanced to prevent this from happening.

As above, Also, again constructive criticism but not a complaint is, people like what they see at first glance. Some of the garden lights were not working ( bulbs blown 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️). Had they all been working, it would have made a difference 👍👍.

Breakfast was very good with a good selection of food and very well presented. Quick service of main cooked meal. The bed was very comfortable in a large room overlooking the rear garden of 'Lawns' accommodation. The restaurant serves good food - well prepared and a good choice.

Didn't like our room being away from the main hotel i.e. 'Lawns' accommodation which entailed a walk to reception/restaurant and bar. Not sure whether that was clear when I booked the hotel. The weather was good for our stay but in poor weather it would not be a pleasant walk. The bathroom shower pressure is low. Bedroom curtains let in light first thing in the morning.

Reception is from the pub and is small and friendly. Bedroom 15 is the last up a fair few stairs and along a long corridor. Once in it is big and warm and clean. Not overly imaginative and a bit tired, but, was quiet. A lovely comfortable bed with lovely clean white linen. BIG soft and warm duvet. Bedside lights and a standard lamp. Desk and chair and bedside tables. There is a big walk in wardrobe. Kettle for tea/chocolate making. Coffee machine. Fresh milk in a flask was nice touch. Biscuits. Shower room is big and bright and clean and warm. Shower cubicle could have been bigger, but, the two headed shower worked well. Plenty of hot water. BIG fluffy white towels and FREE toiletries. Bath mat and non slip mat. BIG circular electric mirror. All clean. Downstairs is a HUGE pub cum restaurant. Nicely lit and clean and tidy with an open fire and a flame effect gas fire it makes it nice and comfortable. Busy, but, friendly. Good staff. Good food. Good ales. Breakfast is included and was good. Outside is the High Street and out the back a gazebo with tables and seating popular with the smoking fraternity. FREE parking in the hotel car park behind. Holt is a lovely town with everything you need. Smart and friendly. The manager, John was friendly and efficient and very personable. The staff are friendly and good. I felt it was good value for the room, hotel, location.

Complaints? Nitpicking, the tele is too intelligent for me! Too complicated. I only wanted the news! I wasn’t offered mustard with my meal!! They didn’t know of my booking, but, to be fair, I’d only booked about half an hour earlier. It was dealt with efficiently and with humour. Oh! The tiny teacups in the room; can we have proper mugs (As well?) please? And, the carpet hadn’t been ‘Hoovered’ (very well?).

Beautifully decorated hotel, staff are very friendly and professional. We had dinner 1 night and breakfast twice and every time it was good quality food. They were also able to recommend a private hire when we struggled to find an available taxi for the wedding we were attending. The beds are very comfortable. The toiletries are divine, my hair hasn't felt so smooth in months.

Only small thing was we struggled with the size of the bed. This isn't a fault of the hotel, we booked an Economy Double Room as two fairly tall individuals. But it was still comfortable with good pillows too.

Very pleasant weekend, good food and comfortable surroundings. Bonus was the Sunday market held right outside the hotel on the first Sunday. Nice shower and toiletries. A good base for visiting North Norfolk

Milk was supplied daily, if asked in a small flask. It was fresh but a little nuisance having to ask. Also had to ask for extra tea bags as it is assumed everybody only drinks coffee. I had a little difficult getting up the stairs, so if this may be a problem for you ask about room location when booking. Parking on site, but limited, however we found a spot.

After a struggle to sort out our right room for which we had paid an upgrade all was well. We were situated in an annexe 5 mins up the road and had to walk to the hotel in pouring rain for breakfasts. There was parking at the annexe and situation very good.

Not a great choice of restaurants in Holt but we tried Byfords on 2nd evening in Holt. Doesn't look much from the outside but once inside there's a huge restaurant (need to book) and the meals were first rate. We took the local bus to visit places using our passes which left from outside of the annexe. Very convenient and frequent.

Fab location right in centre of Holt. Lovely clean, comfortable "Good" bedroom. Comfy bed. Shower cubicle was small but adequate given basic room.. Being end room it was nice & private. Food at dinner & breakfast was very good & served nice & hot with range of choices. Staff were helpful. Plenty of space to sit in bar if you just wanted a drink. Car parking was useful if a bit limited so could be an issue if pub very busy.

Check in was a bit haphazard. Couple in front of us asked for help & someone was found but they then went off with the couple who were experiencing difficulty reaching their accomodation so we were left with noone to check us in until we in turn could find someone! Too few people doing too many jobs & lack of management? We found it difficult to get any hot water in our room which was at the end of a corridor. At best it was barely luke warm. Reported to reception so hopefully sorted for future guests but from comments at check out it wasn't first time it had happened. This is a dog friendly pub - not a problem for us but if it could be, there didn't seem to be any areas kept dog free e.g when eating
