We booked Rooms Inn for 1 night as we was going to a comedy show at the Utilita Arena. For the price we wasn’t expecting much but the hotel was lovely! The bed was comfy, shower was nice and was nice that the tv and radiator actually worked!! Decent breakfast bag too upon leaving. Staff was lovely too upon arrival and helped with any questions (even rang up to us when we ordered a takeaway and it had been delivered- we checked we could order to the hotel too before ordering and they gave us recommendations). Would definitely look at booking again for our next trip to Newcastlez

The fact that when returning late at night you have got to be buzzed in by the guy on reception. Then your asked your room number and also your name. Sorry but this unnecessary should be able to use your key card to get into the hotel at night. I remember years ago when you got a superior room. It also came with bottled water and shortbread. 1 other thing I would like to add is the nature valley snack bars are rubbish. They are so dry and not nice to eat at all. Would be better using the Alpen bars again.

The staff as always excellent location and free carparking.

2 issues 1st issue sink blocked worker tried to sort it but unfortunately couldn't. Maintenance arrived 1st thing in the morning and sorted the issue. 2nd issue out of the 4 towels provided 3 of them 2 hand towels and 1 bath towel. We're all thread bare and stained although they were clean apart for the stains. Took them to reception and guy on reception immediately went and got clean stain free towels for the my room. The room on the ground floor room 102 could do with a upgrade. As its saw better days especially in the bathroom.

We couldn't have asked for more from a budget-friendly hotel - the room was clean, large and perfectly adequate. The power-shower was an additional bonus! The TV was tuned in, the ironing board, hair-dryer, kettle and tea-making facilities were helpful and of good standard. The location was approximately a 15 minute walk-away from the O2 Utilita Arena and parking was free and ample on site. All-in-all, we enjoyed a lovely, relaxing stay at the Rooms Inn, that worked out cheaper than a return taxi-ride! We would definitely stay again, especially as the staff were so super friendly and helpful...and a yummy snacky-pack breakfast-to-go was also offered on the morning! Great value for money! To be super picky...the double bed, although comfy, felt a tad small in width and the pillows were a bit flimsy and unsupportive.

Good location within walking distance of city centre. Nice reception when we arrived. Great room - an iron & board, kettle, TV, wifi, etc and generous amounts of sachets of coffee and teabags. Good shower too - bathroom was very clean. View of St James' Football Ground in distance. Very quiet. Free parking and we could leave the car for a couple of hours after check-out which was v useful. Take out generous breakfast in a paper bag was inspired - more places should do it. Well done. Nothing not to like. Excellent value.

On the third floor but no lift (or we didn't find one!) which was fine for us but not for everyone. A very basic walking map to the centre would have been really useful - yes, I know we all have phones nowadays........

Reading the other reviews I think the guests were staying in a 5-6 star hotel!!! It is not and there will be a bit odd very slight wear & tear. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide and the price I got was £51 which was a bargain. Two beds spacious room. No dirty arears or dirty linen. The bathroom might of had a few non tiny white non arears but it was a very nice shower. Better than I had in a 5 star Newcastle hotel!. The FREE breakfast was fine. It was a pit stop for a snack and it was very good for FREE :-) Even had an iron, iron board and hairdryer.

This place is cheap considering the living cost of this country. It is in the city centre. The room is pretty good. Hot shower, comfi beds, and they provides breakfast too (not anything extravagant but adequate). Good value for money, definitely!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was basic, but clean and tidy and had enough room for us both. Parking was easy and we enjoyed walking into the city everyday. Staff were super friendly and helpful too. It was perfect for a base while we stayed in the city. Beds were very conformable.

The bathroom could do with a complete re-do, but it was clean enough. The breakfast was nice, but I would have preferred choosing my selection of the food. As you just collect the bags in reception and its a random selection.

Room did not have a bath and shower as advertised. Lampshade was very dusty. Doors slamming all night was disturbing. Instructions about vegan/gluten free breakfast needs ignored. One lamp did not work. Not told about about a curfew and then being made to stay outside at 10.30pm on Friday when returning from event, and made to give my name to man with a clipboard.

After a night out a friend followed us back at the hotel at around 10pm to use the toilet before he drove off. Not 30seconds pass by, a member of staff was knocking on our door, I politely opened the door only to hear ‘this room is for 2 people’. I was like fair enough you must see a lot of stuff so I explained that our friend as we speak is in the toilet and will be out in a minute, and he’ll be on his way. In return, instead of returning an understanding nod or at least a polite response they went ‘if he is not out in 2 minutes i will…’ You will do what? I used to work in hospitality and giving the benefit of the doubt in situations like this is the least you can do.
