This is a great place to stay in Cape Town for those reasons: 1) the complex is very, very safe 2) there is an indoor and an outdoor pool 3) the shopping mall adjacent, Canal Walk, has everything that you need: restaurants, shops, cinema and more 4) the staff was extremely friendly and eager to help; we had an issue with the washer and help came right away 5) the appartment was wonderful with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, comfortable living room, a washer and dryer and many channels on the television plus a huge balcony and even a private green yard 6) there is a little train that takes you from point A to B 7) the place is clean and well-maintained 8) the Internet was free and worked properly 9) we got an early check-in which is always appreciated 10) the overall look of the property is taken very seriously: we had put some clothes outside to dry and we received a polite letter asking us not to do so in order to not spoil the view for the other guests.

Overall we loved our stay but three facts are to be taken into consideration. The area around the outside pool has no loungechairs, so after swimming guests are lying down on the grass; this is something that we did not liked. The furniture, mainly in the living room, is a bit run down. Transportation is an issue as this property is about 25 minutes from downtown Cape Town.

Facilities and staff are fantastic. A couple of the lights in the apartment were able to stay on during load shedding so we didn’t have to sit in the dark. Access into Canal Walk shopping centre was very helpful. I was very happy to have a washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment. Wi-fi and Netflix kept the family happy. Dedicated parking bay in the basement of the building with closed access to the elevator.

The TV area furnishings need to be updated. I understand the that the units are individually owned but there should be an agreement to encourage owners to update certain things. Dishwasher washer was not working. The pots and pans were old and scratched, they need to be replaced with a better quality and verity of sizes, and add steak knives to the cutlery. It would have been helpful to have at least one plug on the building ups as I was traveling for work. I also think the main bedroom should have bigger bed than double. It would have been nice to have an information book regarding the surrounding area and the apartment complex, although a lot of information was provided during checking in.

Convenient location, quick access to major highway (N1) either to city bowl, winelands. Easy to find from Airport (a taxi service can be arranged but opted for a rental car) . Similarly convenient to access route to Lagoon Beach, Bloubergstrand area and routes to West Coast : Langebaan etc Access to to a big shopping centre (Century City/ Canal Walk) next door. Access to shopping centre is within 5 minutes using a cardkey at gated door next to hotel (use steps from open parking area near hotel) and then use bridge walkway to access main part of shopping centre.( a previous reviewer was not aware walking access is available ) View from apartment of waterway and birdlife. Kitchen fully fitted out with utensils needed and has a washing machine/Drier. Also hairdrier , iron and ironing board. TV uses streaming service ie You Tube, Netflix. Parking bays available- had a rental vehicle to travel to Bloubergstrand and winelands. Very quiet with main gate security access. Very clean and staff super helpful and friendly- Michael and his team were fabulous

Should a visitor wish for beach access and/ or view of Table mountain be high on wishlist, this is not possible (location of venue) but the access to other entertainment (shopping, food , entertainment) within walking distance offers a very good choice and view of waterway is available from apartment. Table Mountain and Various beaches - either via Lagoon, Blouberg, Melkbos, Hout Bay, Strand are all easily accessed by car.

Modern, well equipped self catering apartments in a very safe area just outside of Cape Town. Unit was cleaned daily (we stayed 8 days) and also clean towels provided every day. 2 mins walk to Canal Walk Mall was a bonus.

Not much… if I had to say anything it would be that the ducks (as lovely as they are) make a terrible mess around the pool area, which put us off swimming.

Perfect location - just a gentle stroll through the immaculately maintained grounds around the water features, say howzit to the Egyptian Geese family, pop over a few bridges and exit through the well secured key card access perimeter gate and you're sitting down for dinner at one of several top notch eateries.

Security once outside the property is a little lacking - its a public space so its to be expected, however there is a concern in a few dark spots right along the canal. Also, the little wooden bridges are super slippery and deadly in the wet. And not well lit either, so that needs attention.

ALL WENT WELL WITH THE APARTMENT AND ALL

I fell on the steps on my way to the basement using stairs, the cleaning lady mopping the floors failed to place wet floor signs worse she had them with her but not placed the whole stair way from top floor she said it was wet as if she was clueless of the implications and danger she was posing to other people as of now am back at home covered in black bruises from the slip from wet tile and hitting the stair. It was terrible i cried like a baby. it took me a while to get up it was painful.

Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

There are some drawbacks that need addressing. The WiFi connection is disappointingly slow and unreliable, which can be frustrating for guests relying on it for work or entertainment. Additionally, upgrading the TVs to smart TVs would greatly enhance the guest experience, allowing easy access to streaming services like Netflix. These improvements would elevate the overall stay and ensure guests have a more enjoyable visit.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Century City. Gorgeous views of the Island Club Canal.

Unit is cold in winter and no heaters are provided even though they tell you there is a heater. No back up when load shedding.

The location of the property is excellent. Having travelled with young children, there were lots of activities to do in the surrounding area and the popular beaches and other attractions were not too far by car. The facilities were good while the staff were excellent and quick to respond.

The WiFi wasn't working for the majority of the stay. There was a provider issue though so I don't hold it against the establishment. They eventually managed to sort it out.

Location was amazing. So close to all tourist spots. Walking distance to the mall. I would recommend this to anyone. Amazing views from every part of the apartment. The staff were on call to answer questions always and resolved minor issues instantly. Communication was perfect. I didn't expect such a beautiful room because the online pictures don't capture the beauty of everything entirely
