Wonderful welcome at reception and the gentleman had directed us to the hotel as we couldn't find it. As it was a last minute booking, my girlfriend and I were happy to share a king size bed seeing as there were no twins available for 1 night. We ate at the restaurant and the 2 girls serving were very happy and obliging. The cocktails were great! We both slept really well in a very comfy bed and the art deco decor was superb. Brekky was enough and very tasty and a lovely man who served us.

On the menu was pate''. But it was actually terrine when it arrived. Australians know pate as smooth with the butter on the top. I made a suggestion to the wait staff that if a guest does order it, maybe explain it's a terrine style so guests are warned. It would be also wonderful if you had another towel rack in the bathroom.

Very good breakfast. Location terrific. The best features relate to the architecture and interior design. It is a remarkable example or the art deco/nouveau style brought to life through careful renovation and attention to detail. Not to be missed if you are interested in the heritage of historic hotels. Worth a return visit and a longer stay.

a bit hard to find the entrance. It might be worth including the name of the Lane that you need to find to get to the car park and the lane way you need to use to go to reception. The address given on the Web for GPS users (Beardy Street) can lead you astray.

Excellent hotel and room facilities. Very comfortable and quality manchester etc. It really is a charming and quaint home away from home. The owners have refurbished it superbly capturing the art deco style of the era in which it was built. The dressing gowns are the best I've come across in my travels!

The hourly chime outside the Gov Suite window took some getting used to! Breakfast was a bit basic. Compotes and a wider range of fruit would improve it immensely. Please supply conditioner as well as shampoo. Advising customers of the Friday evening / Sat free parking across the way would also be great. Sometimes parkers were taken by outsiders (street fair). My only gripes really. Exceptional otherwise. Thank you Simon at reception for printing for me with a smile.

I look forward to staying here all year. We only visit Armidale once or twoce a year with sport and I dream about the bed here. We have stayed in a family room a few times now and there is ample room for a couple and two kids to stay. The decor is tasteful, clean and the rooms are cosy and warm. I do dream about the beds all year. Where are they made - they are like the dreamiest, comfiest beds ever and I have the best sleep when I stay here.

There is not much to not like. Parking is fine - whilst not on site it is across a laneway. The corso is not particularly charming in the evenings but if you are walking from somewhere and returning to hotel it is fine.

Art Deco furnishings are tasteful with a modern twist. The restaurant is especially good, with outstanding food, wines, and staff. Complimentary breakfast was included in our booking, which is a pleasant surprise. Hot breakfast is freshly made by order, as well as barista made coffee. Super comfy bed and modern bathroom. Parking at rear of building available.

One small negative is that the bathroom, while modern and a good size, there were not enough towel racks to hang wet towels for two people. This won’t deter us from returning or recommending The Tattersall’s. It just a personal bug bear.

Right on the mall, had to access down a side lane. Very good restaurant ( although cold at night, due to beer garden access through restaurant. Very good breakfast. Beautifully redecorated in Art Deco.

Parking limited, not undercover, only 7 parks, at back of hotel, easy if you are younger with a small bag, no help with bags down laneway to hotel entrance. Quite expensive, however a beautiful hotel to stay in.

The included continental / hot breakfast was great. The hot breakfast was really delicious, plenty of choices and portion sizes were great.

The number of available car parks for hotel guests who drive to Armidale could be improved. It was a struggle each night to get a spot. Once you had one you didn't want to move your car just in case there wasn't a space on your return back to the hotel.

Loved the breakfast. Whole hotel was a little lux, restoration is magnificent. Loved the robes. Very attentive staff, very friendly and willing to help. We had e-Bikes as on a road trip and staff offered to store them securely for us so we could get out and explore. Stay was wonderful, would definitely go back. (have recommended to friends)

Nothing to say here - stay was exceptional

An outstanding boutique hotel in the centre of Armidale. Has been meticulously renovated in art deco styling, no expense spared. Beds very comfortable, linen and bath towels excellent. The ensuite bathroom is large and beautifully tiled. Brass fittings everywhere and every in top condition. The dining room Carrie’s through the same style, colours and lighting outstanding. Dinner and breakfast were great: good continental breakfast (complimentary) with a hot breakfast available for a modest extra cost. The beer garden out the back had a good vibe. Staff very friendly and efficient, service excellent. We loved it and would definitely stay here again.

From the friendly greeting at reception, to the complimentary room upgrade; super fast room service and exceptional food, this was a hugely unexpected luxury, boutique stopover en-route between the Blue Mts and Brisbane. Special mention also has to be made for Claire on reception, who went above & beyond to reunite me with my glasses that I’d inadvertently left in the room.

Sadly I wasn’t able to get the coffee machine in my room to work, but put that down to user error. Breakfast service was also a little lacking, but suspect that was due to a large group staying at the hotel who had all ordered hot breakfasts at the same time. The mini-pastries available for the complimentary breakfast were straight out of a French patisserie, served warm and more than made up for the lack of service :)
