The breakfasts were lovely and tasty. The waiters were very helpful and friendly .The chef who prepared our eggs ,omelettes and pancakes was really good and served them to our table which was a nice touch. Chrysa greeted us like old friends and made us really welcome (we had met on 2 previous visits to the Kriti Beach Hotel ).The 2 young ladies on reception were lovely ,great fun and very helpful and welcoming . The shower in the room was really good ,warm and worked really well and was very welcome. We had 2 meals in the Navy Blend Restaurant (Fish & Chips and Crispy Chicken & Chips) ,both very tasty .The staff in there were also friendly and looked after us really well. The holiday was booked as a random additional holiday after 2 previous stays at Kriti Beach and lived up to our expectations. We are currently working on our next break in October ,which will hopefully be for 10 days plus ?.

The hotel is our best experience among many trips to Crete in the last 15 years. We chose this hotel visually a year ago while walking around the old town of Rethymno, but booked the room on Booking.com already 9 months ago in winter. The hotel had gave us a room on the top floor with the most magnificent panoramic view of the old town, harbor and beach. For this, we are happy and sincerely grateful to the hotel staff. The five-star hotel has renovated, modern and comfortable rooms, where we were welcomed with wine, on Sunday morning champagne is offered with lightly salted salmon. The menu is diverse, the food is delicious. At breakfast, fresh orange juice is offered on the table, the waiter of the restaurant brings the requested coffee or herbal tea with honey. The cook bakes and brings to the table an omelette made from the required ingredients or egg. Every night there is a different cuisine - fish night, Greek, Cretan, international vituve, etc. The food does not get boring during the week, because it is varied. Only the wine selection could be wider. If you want dry wine, there are only a few real choices. The main hotel's restaurant quality is enjoying food and drinks without rush and crowds. Hotel guests have the opportunity to attend the wonderful Rethymno city beach for free, where the hotel together with the Kriti Hotel has its own territory and can relax comfortably on sunbeds under an umbrella. The hotel staff, especially at the reception, is exceptionally responsive. Even the guest manager comes to the restaurant to learn about the guest experience and suggestions for improvement. We loved this hotel very much and will definitely return. Already next year! It's great!

The location

The hotel does not have ammeaties of a 5 stars hotel. The pool is small and the beach is quite far away, you need to walk in the central road and pass it, has heavy traffic. The beach is organized but the quality it’s poor (next to a center for water sports, people are adding all Kinds of improvised shades which gives the entire place a very cheap air). Also, there is a lady at the reception (add kilos and glasses) that acts like a police officer rather than helping clients. A true gym they are not providing towels

Great location: just at the border of the old town before the beaches. Amazing staff at the reception, breakfast and cleaning (we did not try the bar /restaurant) : they go the extra mile to make you super happy. Beautiful comfy room (junior suite with seaview) with white marble and excellent bath products (Olivia) and the best coffee /expresso machine I ever found in a hotel room. We got upgraded to a junior suite upon our arrival and in the room there was a nice white wine bottle and 2 chalices: we enjoyed it on the balcony looking directly towards the port during the sunset. Spectacular! The room has all imaginable comfort : bathrobe, scale, hairdryer, vanity kits, fully equipped fridge, kettle and tea, espresso machine, mirror with magnifier, fantastic products of the brand Olivia (body lotion, hand soap, shampoo, shower gel), etc. The breakfast is delicious with an extensive selection of Greek, Cretan local products and sweets (special note for the sweets) as well as normal breakfast staple (bacon, beans, scramble eggs, cereals, jams, etc). The staff immediately serve yoh a freshly made orange juice upon your arrival and the best coffee. Breakfast also has a special egg on order station, where you can get your eggs done the way you prefer. Last but not least, though the hotel has a small swimming pool, it has a sister hotel (Kriti) just in front of the beach, so you can freely access the beach, get towels, umbrella and chairs directly in the wonderful Rethymno beach.

Excellent facilities, Room was immaculate, Service and staff were the best I have experienced. Nothing was a bother and this hotel has left a very impressive impression - you will not be disappointed. The Bar and front pool were well presented and on point. I recently stayed with my partner and we had the most incredible time. The staff are attentive and will go the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one. The views from the rooms with sea view are fantastic. Highly recommend paying extra for these. We stayed in the deluxe sweet and were blown away by how great the room was. The beach is a short walk away and you can use the facilities at their sister hotel, which is immediately opposite the beach. There are plenty of restaurants brach side and near the old town. The views from the balcony in the deluxe room were so good I decided to propose there! The staff were also great at helping me set up.

The only downside I'd say is that the pictures don't do it justice!

We had an excellent room with sea view. Location was perfect for us - about 10min walk into old town. Comfortable bed, good facilities, great breakfast (wide variety of options and very good quality) and excellent welcoming, helpful, friendly staff.

It seems the other hotel Kriti is a little bit better :) Bigger swimming pool and closer to the beach … but this is not a negative for Kyma… it’s just a recommendation for anyone to look both hotels

Customer service is nothing short of exceptional, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The room was a bit tired, furniture felt old. With some basic refurbishment it would look much more modern.

Wonderful breakfast: fresh orange juice, personally baked pancakes, or omelet. View of the pool... The beach is not far from the hotel; the city center is also quite close.
