Hotel Dato is located only a couple of minutes walk from the railway station, but quite far from the bus station. If arriving by bus, take a TG 1 or 2 tram [direction Universidad or Salburua] and alight at the fourth stop]. The hotel is easy to find and has a 24-hour reception so you may store your luggage. Staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are cleaned daily.

There is no fridge or kettle in the room, and if the day is sunny, remember to let down the window shutters or it may become uncomfortable.

As a solo traveler, I couldn't have asked for more in terms of location, room comfort, and value for money. My stay at Hotel Dato made realize that the number of stars of a hotel does not necessarily tell the whole story. To my liking, the room had just the right size and furnishings, which had a pleasant rustic style. It felt warm (despite the cold winter weather), cozy and homey. In addition, the staff was friendly and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer.

As per the pictures, communal areas full of statues, etc. Fortunately the room was more conventional. Nice to have a bath, albeit a small one. I did experience some noise disturbance, mostly from within the hotel. Furniture being moved around, taps or showers running, etc. A chair (perhaps folding) would be a good addition, also it would be useful to have a kettle. Bed comfortable.

Wonderful and helpful staff during check-in and check-out. Even the cleaning ladies were very friendly! Room was kept clean every day, and awesome location, 3 minutes away from the train station and near to supermarkets, restaurants and cafes etc. Also thankful that the staff helped to carry my heavy luggage up/down the stairs (note that the hotel did emphasized its lack of an elevator during booking).

Perfect location 5 min walk from he old town (well, depends on a walker). clean and comfortable. Calm (at least the rooms we had, which looks to the patio. All the desired facilities were available. Friendly staff. Nearby parking with a daily discount for hotel guests.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and within walking distance of the main attractions in the city center. The staff is very welcoming and explained everything we needed.

I have stayed before and it was as good as ever. Quiet, undisturbed, but still in the heart of town. Fabulous.

No lift due to the age and design of the building. A stair lift did seem to be in operation. Otherwise, quite a few stairs. Not the fault of the establishment.

If travelling by train this is the perfect hotel , 3 minute walk from the lovely train station. Staff were really helpful and room was perfect with a little balcony with stained glass looking onto calle Dato, Vitorria-Gastiez is a must visit city.

Arrived late in the day as planned but greeted warmly and helpfully. Good, straightforward room; just what we wanted. Great ambience, gorgeously eccentric decor; perfect location for both old town and station.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The location is superb as it’s right in the centre of the city and the staff are amazing, really helpful and friendly. We will be back!
