Lovely spacious building and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and obliging. Beds were very comfortable and the room well-equipped. The rooftop swimming pool was a real highlight and perfect for a sunrise swim.

It was a bit of a hoof up the hill to the hotel and scary in a tuk-tuk! Breakfast was ok but not great. The hotel is tucked away up a hill and is itself very quiet but unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the surrounding area. Very loud music from a nearby venue played until 1am or so and there was also some kind of chant or prayer playing through a loudspeaker on repeat all night from about 10pm to 10am that was very loud in our room. Not the hotel's fault at all and could have been a one-off but if we were to visit Ella again we would try to stay in a much quieter area.

Very nice property in Ella. Good breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Make sure you spend some time by the pool which has stunning views.

I read before the review when someone said it felt like “they’re really trying” so I felt the same. A few things were not on the level you expect it to be paying such a price. In house restaurant is a bit overpriced especially for Ella when you have so many amazing places much cheaper within walkable distance. It’s also located on top of the very steep hill which wasn’t the problem for me but I expect a lot of guests are struggling with the way up.

Awesome 360 views of Ella village, Little Adam's Peak, Ella Rock, waterfalls and temple from the top floor infinity pool deck and attractive bar terrace. The vantage point of the hotel (atop a steep hill) overlooking Ella village may seem an inconvenience, but Ella's bar can get noisy late at night, so not being too central was definitely an advantage, whilst still having a view of the evening energy. Walking distance to Ella's many bars and restaurants, Nine Arches Bridge, and Little Adam's Peak. Staff were very friendly. We will return to Ella and this hotel again in the future.

The final slope up to the hotel from the main road is steep! We asked out taxi to drop-off and pick-up from the main road rather than attempt the incline. It's requires a degree of fitness if you're carrying heavy rucks or dragging suitcases. The hotel does however provide an on-demand shuttle service.

- located smack in the middle of Ella, everything is walking distance. - they have a pool, which is a big plus! - room was alright, nothing too fancy but clean. - nice balcony with a beautiful view.

- you have to hick up a SUPER steep hill to get to the property- don’t underestimate that. We consider ourselves to be in great physical shape and it took us out of breath making our way up that thing. - I booked a massage at the hotel which wasn’t good, so I would recommend not spending money at the spa, it’s not worth it.

This hotel is amazing. Clean, large spacious rooms with fabulous views of Adam’s Peak, Ella Rock and waterfalls. Very close to the train station and town centre albeit it up a very steep hill. They were very helpful and arranged a courtesy shuttle bus from the station to the hotel and then back down again when our driver was unable to make it up the hill in his clapped out car. Our biggest regret was that we were only there one night so didn’t get a chance to fully enjoy the facilities. The bar was busy when we arrived but closed when we returned from dinner. The rooftop swimming pool had the most incredible views and has plenty of loungers and space. Breakfast had a much bigger variety than I expected and was tasty. We really want to return one day!!

The staff were great! They were so friendly, helpful and very professional accommodating some of our requests including getting us in contact with a tuk driver who droves us for the day..We also loved the breakfast buffet with a variety of food. The rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. The food and drink options at the bar were excellent and the service was great. The pool area looked good but we didn't get a chance to use it as it was cold and rainy. Maybe next time!

The road to the hotel was slightly confusing and maybe better sighnage would have helped but this is really me nitpicking. There really weren't any other negatives.

The views were incredible and look down over Ella and the valley. One of the staff recommended watching the sunset from the pool and it was one of the most dramatic I have seen - highly recommend. All the staff were very helpful, professional and friendly throughout - both Ramesh and Gayan made our stay extra special and really went out of their way to help up. The rooms were lovely and again had a phenomenal view. Clean, tidy, modern and excellent aircon throughout. A good selection of local and western food available from the restaurant, and at reasonable prices. All around, a very pleasant stay and we will look forward to visiting again.

There were a lot of renovation works happening in the hotel during our stay and this meant occasional power outages and building noise during the day. Not an issue if you are out exploring, but it did make a relaxation day more challenging. The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep hill that bigger vehicles will not get up and tuktuks really struggle and are reluctant (we found one that would do it). However the hotel run a free shuttle bus between 0800-1800 which we used multiple times a day and was incredibly useful. If you want to come back after 1800 it’s a short but very steep walk or you may be able to find a tuktuk willing to give it a go. Despite this the views from the hotel really are incredible, and in our opinion, worth it.

Stunning views, very welcoming staff, well located! I agree with some reviews that say it’s one of the few hotels that actually are a true 4 stars one. The hotel had a parking space but our car couldn’t make the steep road so we had a shuttle service from the train station which has a non expensive parking. The staff also gave us great advice to explore the surroundings and have guided us on negotiating tuktuk prices. The pool has an amazing view and so does the restaurant and bar on the rooftop. We had dinner at the hotel and it was quite good! It’s not a super small boutique hotel but it has a nice cozy vibe still.

It’s just a note for potential guests browsing: it’s true that the road to the hotel is very steep but the hotel offers a shuttle service. We walked up there every time (except when we had the bags!). If you don’t have any issues walking, it’s durable. If you need access directly to the door, consider the shuttle is working until 6 PM.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The service was incredibly friendly and warm, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious, with no complaints whatsoever. We were lucky to have a room with a stunning view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was also very accommodating to our requests, such as allowing us to order room service even after it had officially closed. Additionally, late check-in would have been possible if there had been availability, which showed their flexibility and great customer service. The food at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast, in particular, was outstanding and, in our opinion, the best of our entire trip. A special mention goes to the servers at breakfast, who were exceptionally kind and warm-hearted. The internet connection worked exceptionally well, which deserves a special mention, as it made it easy to stay connected throughout our stay. The location was excellent, right in the city centre. While it’s situated on a hill, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues, it was no problem for us. In fact, we appreciated the elevated position as it provided beautiful views from both our room and the hotel’s rooftop terrace. Overall, our experience was fantastic. We traveled as a mother and an adult son, and we felt incredibly welcomed throughout our stay. We are already planning to return and would highly recommend this hotel to others!

The location was simply amazing with a 360 degree view of Ella. We watched the sunrise from the pool terrace which was simply breathtaking. Having tea while enjoying the view of Ravana falls was another plus. The hotel is beautifully decorated with very nice decor with Sri Lankan architecture, adding to the beauty of the place. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, both the breakfast buffet and ala carte orders. They serve great cocktails too. The rooms are soundproof and has very comfy beds; we had one of our best sleeps at this hotel.

Not as tranquil as you would like because it’s in the heart of Ella town. The pool isn’t heated which makes it un-useful because of the cold weather.
