Great place with good transport links , plenty of amenities nearby and probably the best value for money in singapore. Staff here are knowledgeable and will help you out with any questions or queries you may have .. will definitely stay again if I'm in singers

Good value for money. Loads of information upon arrival. The host is friendly. However, the internet was really troublesome. It drops all the time and is not very convenient. Modest breakfast, but it was free of cost, so it was appreciated. The bathroom and showers were relatively clean, but they are located together, so everything gets wet, and it's a bit uncomfortable. Best value for money in Singapore. The location is great, many restaurants around. We opted for 6 6-bunkbed room and it was the best one. It does not have a window but privacy-wise, it was perfect

Tony will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They send you a brochure with lots of information about what to do in Singapore and how to move around. We stayed in the 5 bed female dorm which was very spacious and lovely. The shared bathrooms were clean and equipped with the basics. Also, the commo area was huge and they even sell drinks. Last but not least, breakfast was basic but very handy in such an expensive country.

Everything was pretty good. Some toilets on the third floor were tiny and I kept getting wet with the shower by mistake but it wasn't a big deal. Also, bear in mind that prices are usually high everywhere and although it was one of the cheapest options, still far more expensive than any other country in the area.

I loved the friendly people you got to meet at this hotel, I stayed in the women's only dorm, and I can only recommend it, there are lockers, but be aware that they don't fit a big backpack (at least in the women's only dorm). The place is 15 mins. Walk from the nearest train station, so good location in my head.

There is an older man who works there, he is very sweet, but he is quite confused, he tried to get me to pay twice for my stay, but when I explained I already paid it, he simply didn't listen. I explained it a few times and eventually he understood, and apologized very many times. Things like this happens, so it was okay, in the end I weren't overcharged, and the other staff is so great it doesn't mean much. It felt like a second home to me. Also The ac is only on from 6 untill 10, which is reasonable, because I was out all day anyway.

A great place if you are looking for a cheap but pleasant accommodation option. The good location of the hostel will provide you with the opportunity for long walks around the area. The hostel staff is super responsive, they will tell you where to go and even share some tips about your journey. However, you need to understand that this is a hostel, so all the territories are literally shared. I lived in a women's room for 5 people, the room was clean but not very functional. Maybe I was lucky with the neighbors, but everything was quiet, and I managed to relax at night. In general, I recommend this place if you want to stay in the area for the night. And if you can share a space with a lot of people, of course 🙂

I met a former employee, John, while traveling in Vietnam, and he recommended this hostel where he used to work. It turned out to be a great choice! The staff is super friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. They even have a prepared guide to the most significant sights in Singapore. Plus, breakfast is included! Overall, a solid choice if you don’t mind sharing a room.

They had no beer, because the fridge was broken.

the location was in a beautiful, culturally rich neighbourhood. the receptionist emailed me a whole info pack with a public transport map, cultural info and a four day itinerary of the city. there was a free toast breakfast with tea and coffee, a nice social space and all in all a grounded, affordable hostel experience in one of the most expensive cities in the world!

the showers and toilets were in the same cubicle which was a bit cramped. there were also no hooks in the bedrooms which would definitely be a welcome addition.

Comfy hostel where the common area has AC (kind of rare in SE Asia) Separate female floor was much appreciated Tony, the owner, was very helpful and great to chat with. He’s well traveled and know a lot about Singapore and the world in general—definitely chat him up!

While I appreciate the hostel being in a more authentic and rustic neighborhood of the concrete jungle that is Singapore, it was a bit farther from mrt stations and buses (10 min., which realistically isn’t that long except in the humid heat of Singapore 🥲)

Betelbox is the best hostel of Singapore. The dorms are basic, with old style bunk beds. Showers and toilets are clean and modern. The management is great and very helpful. There is a living room where you can meet other travellers or just read or work quietly in a corner. The hostel is situated in Katong, one of the nicest neighborhoods of the city, away from the tourists crowds. Joo Chat Road, the main street, has been developed nto a place with beautifully restored shop houses, good restaurants, coffee places and eateries. East Coast park is nearby, and can be reached by a nice walk through 5-foot walkways. I warmly recommend this great and unique travellers accomodation.

If you prefer luxury or sleep cabins, don't go here. If you prefer to meet travellers with interesting stories on Singapore and far away traveller's destinations, then this is the place to be. If you want a really dedicated staff that provides you with all kinds of tips where to go in Singapore, then choose this hostel.

The rooms are clean and there are enough space for everyone's luggage. Bathrooms are well kept and shower is good. For the price, this is the best option one has in Singapore

The AC are not to be turned on during the day, and it gets really hot even in the morning. Shower and toilet are in the same bathroom and it's a bit odd to me. Breakfast is really simple (but it is free). Bus going to this hostel isn't very frequent, it isn't too far from the big intersection and metro though.
