I thought the hotel was beautiful really modern, lovely and clean and the staff were wonderful.

My only discrepancy was that the lights in the rooms are left on all night. There’s no way to turn them off which I thought was very strange considering everyone has their own individual light in their bunk.

I liked that they have the option of having a private en-suite/room! 😊 most hostels don't have this option. the place is central to everything in Singapore, which is such a place in my books. the staff are so friendly — ask for Charles. he will take care of your every need without any hesitation and is a great conversationalist. he recommends places to go to in Singapore. he is exceptional!

It’s a hostel, so there are shared facilities. cons: I think the only thing I didn’t love about this place, was that it was always too wet in the bathrooms, for my liking. there needs to be some sort of floor mat. - more hooks to put your things on. - maybe have the males have their own designated bathrooms. and have the staff do frequent check ups every now and again on the bathrooms. because I walked in the first night and there was pee all over the seat. 😭😅 but besides everything, I would stay here again!

The best capsule hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Attention to detail in terms of cleanliness, design of the facilities such as lockable drawers activated by key card in the bedrooms, wall charger sockets inside the beds and towel rails made it a convenient experience. Nice that they provide slippers, towels, toothbrush and toothpaste as well. The cleanest shared bathrooms I’ve ever used. Very comfortable bedding and pillows, more similar to high end hotels. Close to Singapore downtown only being a 20 minutes walk and 30 minutes to marina by the bay.

Pretty strict shoe policy, with no shoes allowed from the main hostel area, but I can’t blame them as cleanliness here is top notch so the policy is actually a pretty good thing

It ticks all the requirements for a female solo traveller. The price is competitive with what it can offer. Being cheap does not mean you need to compromise on your comfort. As for muslim, food would not be hassle as much option of halal food offered. Cleaness also needs to be appaluded together with their staffs. Highly recommended.

For female muslim travellers (hijabi), the bathroom/shower is relatively in an odd situation. It is situated right next to the entrance door of the hostel room. The male room would be on the same floor as the female only room as well . As it uses an automated sliding door, when using the sink, you need to total covered to prevent exposing yourself.

We had a wonderful experience during my stay. The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. On the first day, my fellow traveler fell sick and unfortunately vomited in the washroom. The staff handled the situation with great care and professionalism—they immediately cleaned everything up without making a fuss, and genuinely asked if she was okay or needed anything. The room, washrooms, and common areas were always spotless and smelled fresh. The beds were extremely comfortable, each with two fluffy pillows that made for a cozy sleep. There was always a steady and clean supply of water, and the staff were incredibly hospitable, friendly, and always ready to help. Overall, I truly appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and the warm hospitality provided. Highly recommended!

One small suggestion would be to consider making the shower cubicles slightly larger, as it was a bit difficult to move around comfortably, especially when trying to wash your hair without getting clothes hanging on the door wet. Also, adding 2–3 more hanging knobs inside the cubicle would be helpful.

The staff was amazing - so kind and helpful! The rooms and shared spaces were very clean, well kept, and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was great as well. I had some work to do and using the cafe or open space between the rooms was really good for this.

The shower stalls were tight making it hard to avoid getting my towel wet. They also weren’t very clean along the walls and corners. I had a top bunk and it was uncomfortably HOT at night. The A/C in the room was at a good temp, but I think the curtain and the location of my bed in relation to the flow of the A/C made it so that no cold air got into my space. I did have the bed fan on, but it did not bring in the cold air.

Perfect location for my needs. Schmick new place. Well designed. Very clean and good attention to detail. Beds comfortable. Good quality mattress, linen and towels. Helpful common area with charging points and work spaces. Good water pressure and hot water in the showers. Helpful and polite staff.

Bathrooms need paper towels or air dryer instead of tissues. Sink taps don't provide continuous stream of water which can be difficult for washing face, brushing teeth. Curtains on beds need to be longer to cover the entirety of the bed space so there isn't light coming in. Would also help if ladders had soft cushioning but that's probably just because I'm a soft westerner.

Close to public transport, restaurants. Very comfy bed and nice facillities. Bathroom were good.

Window in bed room let in a bit of outside noise from nearby night life.

First time in Singapore - Great location in Bugis area near mosque, close to lots of buses, and metro and easy walking distance to lots of cool areas. Very safe. Friendly staff. I had a private room on level 2 with air con, slippers, towels and a hair dryer. There was a water cooler available to top up your bottle. Although there were shared bathroom facilities, they were big and clean with good water pressure, and I never had to wait for a bathroom (hardly saw anyone during movement from bedroom to bathroom).

Would be great if the area downstairs could be used to be more more social and make it easier to meet people. Perhaps even as a Cafe?

The hotel spaces are very nicely designed and stylish. We stayed in a double deluxe room which was comfortable. shared bathrooms were clean and always available. It is a good level of accommodation for “flashpackers”. It’s near metro and bus, like most of central Singapore.

Perhaps because it is an historic building, the windows are not very soundproof so there was a lot of street noise in the evening in our room. There are restaurants right across the street and we could hear a lot of noise from their customers. Also, there are lots of restaurants in Kampong glam but many are expensive, so there weren’t too many options in the immediate vicinity aligned with our price point. There should be a squeegee in the bathrooms to wipe excess water off the floor after showering.
