All services related to 5star hotel. Private Beach. Tasty food, big variety.

The temperarure in room was very high - 25degrees Celsius is too much for sleeping - at least for my family. Even when I claimed to hotel that air condition is not working properly, I was informed that air condition si set up form hotel to have the temperature in rooms between 23-25 °C. For me not acceptable for 5star hotel.

As always Grand Hotel Bernardin was perfect. From first until the last moment everything was as expected and more. Staff is as always very polite and very professional. You get a free parking spot as the hotel guest. Our room was very clean, very comfy and with the best view that you can have in Portoroz/Piran. Private beach with free sun beds and parasols for the guests. Breakfast was very nice, many variations and there is enough choice for every taste. The Grand Cafe is a must. View from above on the whole bay is amazing. Very good coffee and nice cakes. Staff is really more then polite and friendly. Check in and check out went very smooth. This hotel deserves only the best recommendation. We are definitely coming back. Thanks for making our holiday more nice and joyful.

Everything was just perfect.

Great place - nice rooms, sea view, really nice food for breakfast and dinner - lots of choices and variation across days, great location right in front of a beach while it's walking distance to Piran (there are also shuttle buses etc), nice swimming pool, includes passes to Termaris swimming pools, quiet, .. We will definitely come again.

Not much to report. There is a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom (especially in the morning after we kept the bathroom closed) but this seems to be the issue with the entire area and not this hotel itself.

In a world of homogeneity the Bernardin stands out. Loads of character on a beautiful piece of coastline, a perfect place to stay. Parking was easy in the dedicated car park just up the hill from the hotel. Breakfast was varied in a stunning dining room. The rooms seem to be all sea views with balconies, and all excellent. Downsides - we visited at the end of March and they were still getting ready for the season. This meant the pool was out of action, although we did have free use of the steamrooms. There was also quite a bit of maintenance happening. All in all though, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The opening hours of the beach (9-19) were crazy, as well as of the swimming pool (10-18) and fitness (9-19). There is zero chance of swimming before breakfast and in the evening, which are the most attractive times for swimmers. I have never encountered such a limitation. It is not acceptable for me in a 5-star hotel. There is also a weird system of paper vouchers for towels on the beach, where you get back a small piece of paper which was used by other guests before.

Nice location, 20 m from the sea, enough sun-beds for everyone. Good food but not as in a Greek or Turkish similar hotel (very little variation between the days)

The smell on the hallways … that hunted us for the entire stay. Moreover, the first room we got smelled so so bad that we just could not wait for the concierge to come and check (no, it was not coming from the bathroom). Positive: we got an upgrade to a non-smelling, bigger room. Negative: they tried to charge this upgrade at the end of the stay …

Very comfortable, especially since we brought our 80-year-old mum. The lift directly to the beach, excellent food, and great location made it a truly relaxing stay.

Just small details, but there’s room for improvement. During one of the dinners, the waitress didn’t notice us (four people at the table), even when we waved at her, so we didn’t get a chance to order any drinks. Also, on one day, our room wasn’t cleaned at all — no one came in the entire day, even though we were out of the room the whole time.

Everything was prefect. The room was great with a nice view of the sea, the staff was friendly and professional making good friends with my kids even. The restaurant was excellent with a lot of choice and variability. Has its own beach with towels, benches and umbrellas included. The hotel is able to manage a lot of people without ever feeling crowded. There are free basic drinks during meals: coffee, tea, juices and even champagne (!) at breakfast and water at dinner. Anything above that needs to be purchased but it is more than enough. The beach is nice and clean. Piran is in walking distance. They even greeted me with a cake on my birthday! A really surprising and heartwarming gesture 🤗 We will definitely come back, we had the best vacation ever.

Everything was perfect

It is located halfway between Portoroz and Piran. Parking is free on the mountain side of the hotel. From the parking lot the hotel's main entrance and reception are located on the 11th floor. The shelltered bar terrace next to the reception has a wonderful view of the sea. The hotel is only separated from the privat beach by a small walkway. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are available in sufficient numbers. Beach service, beach bar, staff is nice and friendly (receptionists, waiters,maids, etc.) Comfortable rooms with a great view of the sea. Delicious and wide variety of breakfast.

The shelf part of the wardrobe could be bigger. The sound of the motorized leaf blower on the walkway in front of the hotel was a bit disturbing.

I worked in Hotel Business for many years and this hotel I have to say was more than i had expected. I took my elderly mother for a treat to spend quality time with her as I live overseas. We had an absolutley amazing time. You do have to get to the beach early to get a lounge chair. The room was clean, all staff from the front desk to restaurant, house keeping and life guards went above and beyond with exceptional service making us feel very welcomed and cared for. The food was 5 star cuisine both the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. We had a room with a balcony and ocean view on 2nd floor and it was beautiful. Can't wait to come back again!
