There is nothing I like more than sitting on the deck, looking out over the tree tops at the sun setting over Long Beach, and as it darkens, watching the light from the Slangkop lighthouse sweep around across the bay. I love the rustic wooden charm of the chalets, the dense bush and the fireplace in winter. Chalets have also been updated since last time I stayed, with better WiFi and new TVs.

I've been coming to Monkey Valley for more than 20 years. I will never forgive them for selling off their best lodge, Crowned Eagle. The chalets are comfortable but not luxurious, and sometimes it feels maintenance could be a little better.

We were welcomed by the friendliest and most helpful staff.The scenery was definitely the best part of my stay❤️ the rooms are surrounded by the most beautiful greenery that leaves just enough room for the most spectacular ocean view from the balcony. The room was super comfy , the fish and chips we had ordered from the restaurant was fresh and crispy . The complimentary breakfast was so diverse and yummy . I appreciated the fact that the resort had a restaurant on the premises and the private path to the beach which is a 5-10min stroll. Will definitely be visiting again for a longer stay ❤️

A microwave in the room would be appreciated .

Great views , restaurent open all day a little bit boho which I liked , slightly eccentric and different . Walk to the beach but quite steep drop at the end so maybe not a walk for the infirm . I was briefly unwell and they were extremely helpful so a great service especially a I was travelling alone

The fit out is quite old and it could have been a little cleaner , completely acceptable to me but maybe not for everyone the basin in the bathroom was chipped but it is old and original and I liked it

The most beautiful part of our stay was the location. We stayed at the Dolphin Cabin which has a wooden deck with a view of the beach. Not far from the restaurant and play area and short private walk to the stunning beach. The cabin itself was very spacious, clean and stocked with all the necessaties needed for a comfortable stay. I've read some comments that the cabins are outdated. I didn't find that at all with ours (smeg dishwasher, flat scheen TV, spacious fridge)... I would highly reccommend the restaurant with the large deck overlooking the beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu with large variety to choose from. You dont have to opt for the breakfast buffet option. Prices are very very reasonable, in fact much cheaper than some of local well known spots in Noordshoek.

The cabin has 3 bedrooms (1 dowstairs with ensuite and 2 upstairs with family bathroom). The bedroom downstairs is not soundproof, I could hear our neighnours and their little baby. Was not a problem though as we slept upstairs.

The Pelican cottage is great, three large rooms, a nice big kitchen, very close to the beach, there is a good restraurant a minigolf Just at the entrance of the famous Chapman's Peak drive, to Hout Bay We stayed during a cold day but the rooms are ok for winter, we were given a heater. There is ampla parking space. There is a nice little sea view between the trees and there is a nice area on the balcony.

A few items in the kitchen that we could not make work but I'm sure that if we had stayed longer the staff would have fixed it

Bed was very comfortable with an amazing view. The staff was very friendly. The facility was great - you felt like you were staying in a luxurious tree house. Our 5 year old loved the pool and beach. There are kids and dogs everywhere which we loved. The food was fine. We loved that you could walk to the beach and to some local restaurants.

There was a beautiful porch off of our room, but it was shared and was used as a smoking porch by all of our neighbors, so that was the biggest detraction of the property - people walking past your bed and smoking right outside your room in front of the most amazing view of the ocean.

Beautiful Resort, Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms. They provide one pack of wood for the fireplace complimentary and a 1 litre bag of milk in the fridge. Thank you to Katleho in Reservations. She's amazing,we got a bit lost, but she was able to email us the coordinates. The matress in the bed was outstanding!!! Thank you to the housekeeping ladies, especially Nosi and Doris, for bringing us more wood. We really appreciated the weekend away... Will definitely recommend and return soonest.

I like the view and the peace ✌️ 😌 it's our all time favorite place to go ...

On arrival a guy was waiting for us in the spot we needed to park didnt notify us off the tree behind us wich had a sharp part sticking out that was not visible in the mirror, so we bumped and the rear windscreen broke 💔 🙃. Also i don't like that the staff judge you by your image 😒 not all and had to ask for clean towels ...

The view from our room was amazing. The entire staff was warm, welcoming and efficient. Breakfast included fresh fruit, delicious granola, juices, coffee, tea and a full hot breakfast. A short walk to Noordhoek Beach for a long walk along the water.

The cabin was much bigger than we expected and all the wood had recently been varnished, so it felt nice and new. The upstairs views were gorgeous, and the foresty location made it feel very peaceful at night. Lots of space for families or groups of friends traveling together, and there is a restaurant brewery and wine shop just ten minutes walking.
