Breakfast was lovely, our halaal needs were catered to adequately enough although we had no meat options ie cold meat, sausages etc for breakfast so we were basically vegetarian. Staff are friendly and helpful although we did feel like a burden when asking for assistance at times. Room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable and clean.

Kids play area is not safe, it is on top of a very steep hill so its easy to trip and roll all the way down. Pillows were too soft, even using the scatter cushions didn't help. Our bathroom got very stuffy and slippery with the moisture after a shower (even with the window slightly open). Parking area needs to be navigated a bit, we were lucky to be the only guests but if more cars around it could be tricky to park or get out of the property.

The staff at the Salt House went out of their way for our family and friends. My husband and I booked the accommodation for our wedding weekend and had extended family and groomsmen/bridesmaids in each room. Absolutely everyone raved. Dee and her team were so incredibly accommodating with our big, loud group and just made our stay and wedding experience so special and memorable! Neat premises.

There was no water at the Salt House for the first few days of our stay. Although this was not something that the Salt House management or the staff were responsible for, we would have preferred to have received proper notification about this water issue so that we could make the necessary arrangements for our wedding party and guests.

Breakfast was most enjoyable. Coffee was of a good standard too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed an iron and ironing board and they arrived promptly. Lovely mountain view. Very peaceful and quiet

1. The hot water tap in the right basin and bath are loose and need screws! 2. Double adapter under TV is broken and the fridge mains plug is too big as if it is plugged in then you can't plug the kettle in! 3. A little note with instructions on how to use the safe would be useful - e.g. how to set the combination. We had to ask Kingson.

From the moment you enter the yard and get greeted by Mr Banda i knew i was going to have a good stay. The breakfast was nice and simple and i like how the gentleman (Banda, Yamikani and Kingston) kept asking us if we wanted breakfast for the following morning despite how we kept telling them we would think about it. They checked up on us to ensure we were comfortable with everything that we needed. Safety is key and you are on top of that, extinguishers and fire blankets were available which you don’t find at some places. I also loved the fact that i could do my BBQ by the gazebo with the Braii stand and Grill available at site. It felt like my own home.

The pool was never clean during our stay, we ended up going without using it. The cleaning accessories were in the water the entire duration of our stay. A water tap should at least be made available for the braii area.

The water pressure to the toilet was a bit of a problem and needed several flushes. Staff said that the plumber will attend to it. Inadequate lighting. outside the premises when one walks in or out at night or to one's vehicle. Need to see where we walk.

Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and caring. It was obvious that they enjoyed their job and took ot seriously. Breakfast was more than enough with a decent variety. Loved that it was a perfect size, with minimal wastage of food. Room was spacious, with ample areas to keep luggage open, unpack or store away.

No power outlet close to the bed. Old fashioned bathroom.

Friendly Helpful Staff, Banda & the team really went out of their way to make sure our stay was very enjoyable.The location is perfect and the Breakfast is spot on with Fresh Coffee served each morning.

Room a bit cold as it was Winter season but Banda bought over blankets and heaters which made us comfortable.

The WiFi hardly ever worked. Could never join the property network. Definitely need signal boosters and make it unlimited for guests to join in. Our room couldn’t lock from the outside, that needs fixing. Place is relatively safe and secure though, the concern was mostly for our possessions when we were out

The staff were very friendly and wanted to make my stay a good one. The breakfasts were superb and the staff accommodated early departures to make breakfast. My room was very comfortable and the view was stunning. I will stay here upon returning to Hout Bay.

The parking space was limited and due to this I got severely injured....the stuff were not really informed we were coming. I had to park on top and the tar and pavement is not leveled there is no step warning of the uneveness of the area as a result I fell and hurt my ankle, arm, and back. On top there was no ice packs to assist with the swallowing of my ankle. At this moment am out of work and spending money on doctors and x-rays
