All in all, such a lovely, warm, welcoming, and sweet stay at Käthe’s wonderful gem in the heart of the Constantia Forest. Her helpers were delightful, and it truly felt like home. Since we had quite a bit of luggage, we asked if we could move to a larger room — and within 15 minutes, everything was arranged. All the rooms are charming and lovingly decorated. The absolute highlight was her adorable dachshund ladies — little Poppy accompanied us everywhere. Käthe herself was incredibly helpful, always quick to respond with useful tips and her warm, welcoming manner. All in all, a truly beautiful stay.

A special place on the edge of Table Mountain. A very warm and generous welcome from the staff and owner who went beyond to help. Good recommendations for local places to eat in Constantia nearby. Lovely comfy rooms and gardens with a great view! The terrace is a wonderful place to spend some time having a drink and we were even treated to a babboon family interrupting a tennis game and taking residence in the lower gardens for the evening. Only upstaged by the lovely sausage dogs in residence who were super friendly. As a family of 4 and having stayed in Seapoint, boulders bay and Franschoek we wanted to stay somewhere a little different and not go back to busy Cape Town and this was the perfect place. A good base for starting a trek up table mountain (although when we were there it was rather warm and we decided to drive around to the shorter but steeper Platterklip route). Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

We loved the serene and unique setting of Ikhaya Safari Lodge. Nestled in a jungle-like area, it felt like a peaceful retreat while still offering stunning city light views in the distance. The garden was a wonderful feature—perfect for leisurely morning walks and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with anything we needed, which added a personal touch to our stay. The rooms were very clean. We also absolutely adored the owners' dachshunds, who added so much charm and warmth to our stay, making it extra special.

While the rooms were spotless, there was a slightly unpleasant smell upon entering, likely due to the rain and damp conditions. However, this was a minor inconvenience and didn’t detract from the overall experience. We highly recommend Ikhaya Safari Lodge for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with breathtaking views, a welcoming atmosphere, and some delightful canine companions!

Fantastic well appointed property in a beautiful location with amazing views. Staff were very welcoming after our late arrival and after reception opening hours and created a very relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food served at breakfast in the dining room with views across Cape Town. Thank you to Kathe Phillips for being so generous in allowing us a late check out and providing a complimentary upgraded room to use before late flights home it was greatly appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone and we will be back. An excellent way to end our stay and a superb example of SA hospitality 🇿🇦👍❤️

The location and greenery! The decor is absolutely beautiful. The decor in the main house gives authentic safari vibes that it transports you to an actual game lodge in the middle of Constantia! The staff was very kind. When I asked for an iron, the manager offered that the staff iron my clothes for me, which was done without additional charges!

The entrance pathway is laid with big bulky stone. Although its beautiful, the stone made it a bit of a hassle for me to drive out. Signages would be a great addition to indicate where to park.

Our two-night stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful! Nestled amidst nature yet conveniently close to the city center, it offered the best of both worlds - a peaceful retreat just a 30-minute drive from the CBD. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. Priscila, Winnie, and Kathe were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. Plus, their adorable dachshunds, Papi and Gabi, added an extra dose of charm to our experience! The location is perfect for nature lovers, with easy access to Beau Constantia and scenic hiking trails. And let's talk about breakfast - it was a delicious spread that left us energized for our adventures. Convenience is key, and this hotel nailed it with its proximity to the hoho bus stop, making sightseeing a breeze for tourists like us. To top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary sparkling wine and chocolate, making our post-wedding trip even more special. Special thanks, Kathe! Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the wonderful staff, serene surroundings, and thoughtful touches that made our experience truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

It's a bit far from the supermarkets.

Ikhaya is simply stunning. A beautiful lodge with amazing views, so scenic and tranquil but only a short distance from Constantia's best tourist spots. The facilities and rooms were luxurious and the breakfast was delicious, not to mention the friendly staff. Käthe was the perfect hostess, making us feel at home and going out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay - which we certainly did and will definitely be back.

Best location for going to all hotspots. Beautiful room, stunning views. Kathe gave us great advise of where to go & even provided us tennis rackets and balls for playing the most magical court between the trees and mountains. Incredible breakfast, all so curated, only point would be that the coffee could have been better ☺️, but honestly we had the best time! Would recommend Ikhaya to anyone. Thank you Kathe.

breakfast was offered at R200 pp and was excellent value for money . Fresh continental breakfast plus full english breakfast with eggs cooked to order alround a great venue and really enjoyable stay . Manageress gave me a recommenation of the Chef's Warehouse at Beau Constantia for a spoil . Wow ! what a restaraunt !!

Couldn't fault it the property and staff amazing !! Road a little noisy but you are in a major city so to be expected.
