It's wonderful, a mix of historic and modern architecture and interior design, with a lovely setting. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area ! Beautiful views, and a front seat to watch the sunset every evening, with a lovely glass of wine. Unexpectedly, my return home had been postponed - luckily Amy and the owner were quick to help me find a solution, and were able to extend my stay at the hotel. An absolute relief, given the region is FULL at the moment, I was close to having to sleep outside. Thank you again so much!

The staff went the extra mile . The rooms were spotless . The breakfast was amazing and the restaurant food was outstanding. The bar staff were happy and making you feel like you were a local . They remembered what you drank. The pool view was beautiful. They were towels for you to use when you went in the pool . Cleaning ladies always around and happy to help. The manager was a great guy and sat and chatted to us . They all made us feel as if were special. 100% happy with everyone and everything at this hotel . Can't wait to stay again.

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave and return to the UK 😊

Room and view were superb...staff were fantastic...location of hotel is great ...breakfast was sufficient... bar was well stocked ... overall, excellent value for money and a truely great experience. Evening meals were delicious, especially the Portuguese steak - best steak Ive ever tasted (and I usually prefer chicken)

TV and radio choice in room could be better - very few channels and I ended up watching YouTube mosy evenings...regular odur of deep fried food...both terrace awnings in penthouse having a mind of their own and retract every 30mins without warning ... they do have some VERY noisey neighbours who like boom boom bass sounds...

I would like to thank the guy who welcomed us on the first day of our stay on Monday. That night we went to a restaurant to eat supper and we were welcomed by Goodwill woooooooow what a friendly gentleman. His service was over the moon. Tuesday morning oh my gosh the lady by the name of Nonzamo welcomed us with a friendly smile. We felt at home the whole week because of her. Thank you Noma we really appreciate your work❤️❤️. The only problem is the restaurant doesn't have a variety especially breakfast. Can you please improve on that. Even the menu for lunch and supper . The lady who was cleaning for us was not friendly at all even when you greet her, she doesn't show the smile. But apart from that lady all the staff there are friendly especially the morning one woooooooow 🙌🙌🙌🙌. Keep up the good work I will definitely be coming back. Oh and one thing I fell in love with was your pool woooooooow the view 👌👌.

In the middle of the good LIFE in Houtbay I was having the most fantastic stay I could think of - and extended it therefore with a few days. Spotlessly clean room with seaview, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, singing&swinging&sweet personel, nice restaurant, beautiful pool, safe parking in the shade, walking distance (across the road) to the beach. Baie dankie I will come back, with love to you all xxx

The room was exquisite! Beautifully furnished with an open view bathroom (that can be closed if wanted) but it is wonderful to take in the view on the beach from there as well. The balcony overlooks the beach and the mountains and is a lovely relaxing space to sit and have a sundowner. The restaurant has a great menu and one can sit on the veranda having dinner or lunch. The hotel swimming pool also has a fabulous view on Houtbay. The hotel is walking distance from all the top restaurants and across the road from the beach.

We loved everything about Houtbay and the Chapmans Peak Hotel. Nothing not to like! This was by far our favourite destination in Cape Town and the Peninsula. The tranquil atmosphere and friendly people makes it a gem in the area.

I’m afraid the website doesn’t do this Hotel justice. We had a fantastic, very large room with views over the Bay. We also loved the pool area, which again could be much better advertised on the website, it’s lovely. If that’s not enough the restaurant serves the best Calamari and fresh oysters in town 👍

2nd floor sea view room was nice. 1st floor sea view room felt a little unsafe. Pool was spectacular and peaceful, food was great. staff were all lovely.

a door across the shower room would have been nice otherwise there is no privacy when in the shower. the moveable slatted wall is fine.

Fantastic view and brilliant location - in a small busy town but located to keep you as private as you could be in Hout Bay a spectacular location only 30 minutes from the airport and far exceeded our expectations in all aspects of service, friendliness, courtesy, amazing food, staff and just overall excellence as a hotel and customer service. You can tell they have a strong service culture and treat their staff well and therefore their guests are treated with a very high level of service. The food in itself was the best I have encountered in South Africa - this is my 9th trip. We ate at the hotel every night - we did not want to miss out on tasting their broad and tasty menu of local produce. This hotel has been owned by the same company for a number of years and it shows - they are pros at what they do.

The hallways of a night and sometimes the sensor lights did not come on.

Already at the reception, the people were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was perfect, there was a buffet, but also a menulist for breakfast, they made right a way in the kitchen, all included the price. The cleaning lady's were very nice and friendly and having positive energy, singing in the corridor. Just everybody seem to be happy, happy with their work and with the guests. The location was great, having a huge room with sea-view.. just great.
