We loved the setting so much and that it was a little bit further away from the main town so it felt intimate and calm but still close to everything. The room was beautiful and clean and the beds were so comfy. The fridge in the room includes their own wine from the vineyards which was a nice touch. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast each morning was delicious and had fresh fruit. We defo want to come back and will mention it to anyone going to south africa!

There was no food or drinks avaliable to purchase from the hotel in the day which was a shame. We also mentioned on booking that this wss part of a honeymoon and it would have been nice if they did something extra for this eg a drink on arrival/ rose petals etc, like other hotels have done, but it wasn't noted.

it was fantastic. i loved the history and that we basically had the villa to ourselves. it rained and there was a small issue with access to the parking spot but every other issue was 100% lovely. it is a specacular location, beautiful nature, close to town, with a washing machine and a kitchen we could use (although we did not cook) the pool was fantastic, there were extra blankets which we needed, and everything to build a fire which we also did because one day the weather was pretty bad. i love this place and highly recommend it to others.

Really nothing except draining the parking lot but since it wasn't paved there isn't really anything anyone can do when it pours rain. it's a very tiny complaint outweighed by all the other stellar things i loved.

Lovely setting around a 10/15 minute walk from Franschhoek town. Stunning views, lovely grounds. Caroline was extremely helpful & friendly. Didn’t have breakfast but it looked nice.

There was a musty smell in the room and I think it could have been a bit cleaner, cobwebs in the corner around where the TV was. Carpet and curtains could probably do with a deep clean to remove the mustiness from them that gives the musty room smell. Safe was pretty small, could fit only a handful of small sized items. No ironing board or iron in the room, went and asked for them and received them but were then taken from the room when cleaner must have come in, so had to go looking for them again. Each room should have an ironing board and iron. Staff could be more present as you need to go looking for them.

The property is situated outside town, perfect if you want to be in a quiet area with beautiful views on the mountains. We had a warm welcome at check in, and we could even choose between 2 rooms. We chose the upstairs room which was very comfortable and warm, full of light and sparkling clean. It seems that it was freshly restored (Just a small tip... perhaps a gown could be added in the bathroom?) The breakfast was delicious and fresh with friendly staff. We will definitely come back if there is availability in the summer season.

The property is on a farm and is situated in a lovely quiet location. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We were able to explore our surroundings and the staff were extremely helpful. The pool area was lovely and great for sunbathing. The gardens surrounding the property were beautiful. Also the breakfast had a varied menu and we were able to eat outside. I really recommend staying here as it is close to Franschoek but situated in a really wonderful location away from the bustle of the town.

We liked everything about Auberge Clermont

From our arrival on we loved our stay at Auberge Clermont. Caroline was so very welcoming, and incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, she is an absolute credit to the business. Our room was comfortable, tasteful, calm and well appointed; breakfast each morning was a delight, as were the kitchen staff; the pool was lovely - a very relaxing space; and a walk around the estate most enjoyable. The ambience, the setting, the tasteful design all helped make our stay so very relaxing and enjoyable. We’ll be back!

I was recommended Auberge Clermont by someone who had recently stayed here for their honeymoon and it did not disappoint! The room was stunning with an amazing view out to the pool, vineyard and mountains. We weren't here on our honeymoon but it was the only room available when booking and it was a stunning room! The bathroom was amazing with 'his' and 'hers' showers and sinks and a bath. Tennis court was a nice bonus that we weren't aware of and did have a few games on our first day. We also attempted going in the pool however as not heated it was cold this time of year. Location was good as only 15 min walk into Franschhoek and about 25mins to the wine tram terminal (although after dark we got uber back to the hotel as hotel is located on a quiet road with no street lighting). Staff were very helpful and offered to organise transport for us, although we found organising ubers ourselves to be a lot cheaper!! I had also brought the wrong adaptor so they lent us one of the spare adaptors they had. Breakfast was amazing! Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend

Everything! Our room was beautiful and our bed was very comfortable- made it hard to get up! We arrived early upon check in and Caroline kindly offered us some breakfast before we went on the wine tram. The surrounding area is beautiful and the pool is set overlooking the vineyards. We wish we had stayed longer! It’s only about a 5 minute taxi ride to the town centre where there are lots of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. Nicest place we have stayed so far with a lovely selection of wines and teas in our room. Thanks to the hosts for being very accommodating.

We waited a while before we were attended to. It would be nice to be greeted at the door and immediately told how breakfast procedures worked. I am a vegetarian and would have liked more fruit and yoghurt because I do not have a hot breakfast, and I would have liked to explain that to the ladies before the fruit was just placed before me

Lovely setting with great views to the mountains over the vineyard. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. Staff were lovely and unfortunately my wife came down with a sickness and they allowed us to use the room for a couple more hours and then rest around the reception lounge and outside until we were going to the airport. Superb pool area and pagoda sitting area. Would highly recommend.
