pe Veu As soon as you drive through the big metal gates onto the winery to the beautiful country estate, it feels like home. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated. As you pass through the dinning room you get to the lounge that has those huge comfortable chairs and sofa with breathtaking view of the winery and the majestic mountains. There is also a coffee station and a small bar set up, run on a honor system. Our room (#5) was spacious and had everything we could need for our stay. From every window and our patio we had the most amazing of the mountains that change color about every 3-4 hours. It’s so fantastic. The bed is very comfortable with good quality pillows. Our patio was leading out to a small orchard and it was so beautiful. During the day we sat in the garden and enjoyed the sun, or we laid out by the pool or late afternoon when it got a bit chilly, we relaxed in the lounge and read a book. The property is a short 10min walk into town to many fabulous restaurants and coffee shops. The staff is very friendly, caring and attentive

Cape Vue is such a beautiful little oasis in a perfect location, nestled right under the mountains--great views! The hotel and grounds are lovely, very peaceful feeling. I appreciated the little touches like a Nespresso machine and little cookies in the room, a bottle of wine, and they even had little pool coverups and bathrobes. I met Basil the next morning at breakfast and he was very enthusiastic and welcoming. Breakfast was nice, I ate out on the terrace. I was there Easter weekend and it felt a bit like a ghost town at the B&B, very quiet (there were at least a couple other people staying there), but for me that is a positive. You could walk into the town to get food, though I ended up driving as the weather was a bit unpredictable. Wifi worked fine, bathrooms were great, beds were comfy.

There were no major issues at all, everything was good. My welcome tour was a bit perfunctory, I think there are people there at night for security but it's not like there is a 24-hour reception desk or anything if that's what you're looking for. Wifi out on the grounds was iffy but I mostly made it work.

Food was amazing. I am vegan and the chef went out of his/her way to create delicious cooked breakfasts. They really made a huge effort to make sure I didn't get a second-best experience - I was never made to feel my diet was an inconvenience.

I really cannot fault Cape Vue. I paid more for my stay than I planned to - but got way more than the extra money's worth! It is a small place and they obviously make every effort with every single guest.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the views of the pool and the mountains were spectacular. The room itself was spacious and elegant, and the bed was of the most comfortable we've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. The breakfast each morning was fabulous! Lounging poolside on the comfy deck chairs in the sunshine with a glass of South African wine overlooking the vines was nothing short of heaven. The staff were attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. The location was also brilliant being just a short walk from the village.

It was quite pricey compared to a lot of other properties in the area. Having said that though, everything was fabulous so worth the money.

Our second time staying at Cape Vue - we couldn’t wait to visit again and it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous breakfast each morning with lots of selection. The most stunning views, well kept pool and pool area. So relaxing and stunning to sit out and relax. 10/10 comfort of the bed - we remembered this well from last time. Comfiest bed/pillows in the world! Hosts very welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous selection of high-end body wash, lotion, shampoo etc. All natural and smell amazing! Super close (literally a 5 min walk) to the main town where all the restaurants and shops are.

Everything was great. Only thing if I had to say, last time we booked the same type of room and paid the same price but this time our room was much smaller and we were a little sad to not have the larger room with more space. Ours was a little cramped with 2 big suitcases out. (We stayed in 5 last time and this time room 6).

What can I say! The most beautiful property in the most amazing setting. Felt like a home from home. The most welcoming team to greet up and felt like we were staying with family. Suck a welcoming place and we loved the free range style of hosting with the help yourself bar and relaxed atmosphere. We loved our stay and already looking into dates we can come back for a longer visit!

Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and the most excellent mountain views from the pool. We loved being close enough to walk to the main street for food/drinks. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again, we had a brilliant stay! Met great other guests and even got invited to two of their weddings! An excellent base for exploring the area in Gary Barlow’s footsteps…

The views were unreal! Staff friendly and helpful, and made my birthday extra special. It was fabulously located, within walking distance to restaurants. And the super king bed so comfortable.

Pool was on the small side and not heated. The room keys were a bit fiddly and our bath plug let out water but these were minor points to a majorly positive stay.

We loved our stay at Cape Vue and we are planning a return later this year. A lovely welcome from Dino and a very pretty room. Hugh quality linens and bathroom products, peaceful quiet sleep. The location was fabulous both for the short walk to town, or watching the mountains from the pool area. Service and breakfast was first class. We used our car and Uber whilst visiting vineyards as well as the lovely wine tram. No

More loungers round the pool would be appreciated, but I understand some were on order.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was fantastic, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The location is excellent, but we recommend having a car to explore the area more conveniently.

There is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, and we found the shower water temperature a bit hard to adjust.
