A Fantastic Stay at TheLab Franschhoek I had a fantastic day at TheLab Franschhoek! The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. TheLab Franschhoek is conveniently located just a short walk from the heart of Franschhoek, making it easily accessible for visitors. The surrounding area is peaceful and offers stunning views of the nearby mountains, adding to the overall charm of the location. The amenities at TheLab Franschhoek are top-notch. The rooms are modern and equipped with home automation features, allowing you to control lights, blinds, and even the coffee machine with your voice. The property boasts a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a large wooden deck where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The breakfast served is delicious and can be enjoyed on the deck. That I stayed too short

The views of the mountains from the pool were incredible. The jacuzzi was an added bonus and the breakfast was perfect. The room was so beautiful with the mood lighting at night and the choice of wine was fab. I recommend chocolate block. Only a ten minute walk to all bars and restaurants and a 4 minute Uber ride to the wine tram.

The staff are awesome. Super friendly, very helpful and the bar/eating area/swimming pool area has a lovely vibe and very conducive to interacting with other guests. Although the spa is no longer there, staff gave us the details of a mobile therapist and my husband and I agreed that we had the very best massage ever under the trees outside our room. It was divine

Whilst i understand they are going for a minimalist/techie vibe, the bedroom was simply stark and clinical and we really didn't like having to punch in codes to get in the doors - it felt a bit like being an 'inmate' and we didn't like the in-room 'Echo' system - it felt very intrusive. I'd ditch that although i understand the younger generation probably like that.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the space is modern and very clean. The LAB aims to reduce energy consumption and to be as environmental as possible, so it is equipped with very modern technology. The terrace with the pool is beautiful and the pool was nice, refreshing and completely clean. Breakfast is very good and it was overall a great stay!

Because the space aims to conserve energy, smart LEDs are installed everywhere and generally make a very nice light. In the rooms, they work with movement detectors, which I would have liked to be able to switch off or adjust. But that's a very minor detail, which I didn't even ask about.

Check-in With Dyna went very smooth and very nice. Property very nice, also the general areas. The bedroom OK, but too white. Beds were more then OK! Staff in general friendly and helpful when needed.

Some colour on the walls would make the room and the property a bit warmer. The beds were more then OK, but the Duvets could be supplied with thinner duvets for the summer, they were too thick and warm for this time of the year, even with the airco on. Regarding the breakfast; it was a pity we only had the choice of 3 hot breakfast options the 1st morning. As management changed during our stay, this option was not possible anymore the other 2 days.

Moms night away....(2 ladies) Everything was absolutely perfect! Bed, hot pool, gowns, towels, food, drink, staff friendliness and the surrounding area. I recommend adding bedside lights for night time book reading and the bathroom door being a sliding door to accommodate freedom of movement in the room. But over all was excellent!

Pool area was lovely, staff very welcoming and friendly. Comfortable rooms. Bath in the rooms- really nice!

Quite a bit of technology. Lights, blinds, door etc were all technology. When the power went out due to power shredding which of course wasn’t the properties fault we couldn’t close the blinds before bed and then when the power comes back on the lights automatically go on (at 5am). I know the power shedding is unavoidable but the technology didn’t help the situation.

Lovely pool area sun all day views of mountains. Great quirky rooms. Beds were very comfortable. We had a lovely seating area outside the door ideal for an evening drink. Really friendly helpful staff especially Sadie in reception

Was a little walk down into town about 10/15 mins . Ok going down but a bit steeper on way back. Didn’t spoil our time there

Firstly Diana/Dyna😅 was amazing! She made me feel so welcome! She had a warm energy and I felt right at home! The property is located a 10-15 ride to the wine tram and not far from the all the shops. Property is beautiful, great pool area and jacuzzi! And the biggest game collection I ever did see! The fireplace room was a cool experience! Will definitely be back!

Only that I didn’t stay longer!!
