We stayed in the eponymous Fleur du Soleil suite. A beautifully decorated large space with sumptuous bed; the pool right outside our door as was our breakfast dining table.

The property is situated a 15 - 20 minute walk from the centre of the village. The homeward trek is a tad uphill. In the hours after dark the street lighting renders the journey just that little bit longer.

My husband and I had an amazing stay here for 2 nights — the location is perfect! Just a 5-minute walk to the main road in town where all the great restaurants are, and even walking distance to some beautiful vineyards, which was a huge bonus. We walked to Haute Cabriere, which took about 15min. Stanley, the manager, was incredibly helpful — even before our arrival, he was assisting with planning and kindly arranged a driver for us. His support really helped everything run smoothly. Our room was spacious, warm (great heating!), and opened out directly onto the pool area. We happened to be the only guests during our stay, which made our delicious breakfast feel extra intimate and personal. A small note for fellow coffee lovers: they didnt seem to have a proper espresso machine on site, but with so many fantastic cafes in town, it wasn’t a problem for us. We absolutely loved Franschhoek and our two nights here. Highly recommended for a relaxed & intimate getaway!

We had a fantastic three night stay at Fleur du Soleil! From the warm welcome and fizz on arrival, to the beautiful floral decorations in our room to celebrate our honeymoon, to the huge breakfasts, we were so pleased to have selected Fleur du Soleil as our base in Franschhoek. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean- there was lots of space and the guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood only five minutes' walk from the main street. The outdoor pool and seating area are lovely. Stanley and his team did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and providing recommendations, both in advance of our stay via email and WhatsApp, and when we arrived. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful guesthouse.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and genuine care. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated — perfectly capturing the charm of the winelands. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the fluffy towels, and locally sourced toiletries. Breakfast was a highlight — delicious and beautifully presented. The location is excellent too: close enough to walk to the village centre (especially for the Bastille Festival), yet quiet and peaceful for a good night’s rest. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special, offering great recommendations for wine estates and restaurants. Their attention to detail made us feel truly looked after. I highly recommend Fleur du Soleil Luxury Guesthouse to anyone visiting Franschhoek — whether for a romantic getaway, a wine tasting weekend, or just to relax and unwind. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed a total of 5 nights in the hotel and we can highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful in all our requests and made sure that we had a great stay. The breakfast served was fantastic, we could choose the time when it's being served in our room or alternatively in the hotel lobby. Stanley and Victoria were helping us with bookings for restaurants and transportations which was very convenient for us. The location is great, approx. 5min from the main road which made it a easy walk and was also calm during the night. The hotel room was very clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fleur de Soleil Guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff was outstanding — they truly went the extra mile to attend to all the small details. They were incredibly prompt and helpful in arranging a taxi transfer to a nearby wine farm, organizing relaxing massages for us in the comfort of our beautiful room, and welcoming us warmly with a glass of champagne. The room we stayed in was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was large and luxurious, complete with a wonderful bath and a spacious shower. Breakfasts were a real highlight — fresh croissants and fruit to start, followed by a full, hearty breakfast with eggs, boerewors, and a choice of delicious vegetables. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, just a short and pleasant walk into town, making it very convenient for exploring.

We loved how walkable this hotel is to the main streets, the food and the restaurants, the staff were also so wonderful, Stanley helped us with everything we needed. We did a Safari from here and ate the most delicious food downtown. Though the room was smaller than we thought, it was clean, and it was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we rested very well.

The room was smaller than we anticipated, and we preferred to eat breakfast downtown on the days we had time, the one in house is OK but could use a few more hot options that are vegetarian, it has lots of continental options.

Great reception, professional establishment. You can see a lot of detail has gone into the way they onboard guests. We booked a massage and it was all arranged smoothly like clockwork. We needed to make a last minute restaurant reservation change and even though it was after-hours, the owner went above and beyond to make it happen through her contacts. Also very good breakfast. High quality food and beautiful presentation. Overall very friendly staff with great professionalism. Oh and the bathroom in our room was beautiful - the large walk-in shower with dual shower heads were not expected but well received.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. I honestly don't have anything negative to say. The only small hiccup was with the fireplace — I booked the night specifically to enjoy it for our anniversary, but there wasn’t any extra firestarter provided, other than what was already placed inside the fireplace. Despite lighting everything that was set up inside, I couldn’t get the fire going. When I tried adjusting the vent throttle, it was unfortunately a little too late. Other than that, everything about our stay great.

From the moment we arrived all of the staff were wonderful especially Stanley who helped us book taxis and also gave us some helpful tips for the things we had planned. Anton was also very helpful and communicative leading up to our stay and helped to arrange our airport transfer. We stayed in the Vignobles Suite which was spacious and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers changed throughout our stay. It's just off the main reception area so it was a little noisy in the mornings with the breakfast set up but otherwise there was minimal noise with guests coming in and out. The location is excellent, on a quiet street just five minutes walk from the main road with lots of restaurants and bars and about 10-15 minutes walk from the wine tram terminal. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice and wonderful service. Would absolutely recommend this as a great place to stay to explore Franschhoek and nearby.

The property was beautifully decorated, amenities were fantastic. Incredibly well stocked mini bar and an honour bar which I thought was a fantastic touch! The room was really big and comfortable and very clean. Could not find a thing to complain about at all during this stay. The staff were fantastic, breakfast was great and truly a 5 star stay. The location is perfect for walking into town also. We couldn’t have asked for a better stop on our honeymoon.
