Stunning guest house in the centre of Franschhoek. The room we stayed in was beautifully designed, every detail is curated and the bed huge and very comfortable. The staff is super kind and the breakfast is amazing! I am celiac, on a strict gluten free diet, and the staff was able to accommodate my dietary requirements without compromising on the quality of the breakfast which was hugely appreciated. The location is perfect, we walked everywhere, and the pool area is very relaxing. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Franschhoek.

Not the hosts' fault at all, but we got eaten by mosquitoes at night. I would recommend to provide a plug-in mosquito repellent for each room. This is only a minor detail though as we had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again!

We knew we were going to have a fabulous stay from the moment we were greeted at the hotel so warmly and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and full of all the little touches that made our stay that more special. Great shower, comfortable bed and gorgeous amenities. The breakfast was spot on- fresh fruit, yoghurts and a great selection of hot items. Served with a smile and made to feel very welcome. A wonderful start to the day. Location was great for the main high street and restaurants/ wine tram. We didn’t make use of the pool but definitely next time!

With so many options available in Franschoek, this guest house stands out in many ways. Its central location makes it perfect for exploring the town by foot, and is a short walk from the best restaurants, shops and markets. Secure, off-street parking and a quiet setting in a beautifully landscaped garden ensures that we will certainly come back - this time for a longer stay. And Elsje, the property manager, must be one of the friendliest and helpful people we’ve met in a long time. Serene, quiet setting, secure parking, luxurious, large rooms, impeccable cleanliness, and a scrumptious breakfast - certainly one of our favorite guest houses in the Western Cape.

There is nothing I can fault - it was perfect.

Although we were early we were able to check in to our room quickly as it was already available. The owner made us feel very welcome and gave us useful tips about restaurants and other amenities nearby. Most places were within easy walking distance. We have been to Franschhoek before so we know it quite well. Room 1 had a lovely area to sit out, and the gardens around were lovely, as was the pool. Breakfast was very good and more than adequate. We were able to park our car safely within the hotel car park. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

We were quite cramped for space in our room, which felt a bit cluttered.

We Loved Maison Chablis, in the heart of Franschhoek. Easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops, with excellent wine farms 5 - 20min away. Elsje is very warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. We loved the chickens in the garden, they gave a "farm feel "in the village. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of fruits, yoghurt etc and a choice of a hot breakfast. The room was very comfortable and warm. We visit Franschhoek at least once a year, and this was a favorite.

Room could be bigger for that price

The location is fantastic - it is right in the middle of town center and very close to the wine tram terminal. The staff was very welcoming and made arrangements so we could start our day nice and early without having to worry about the check in. The rooms look amazing and the beds are super comfortable (plus they make sure you have water bottles ready besides your bed after whole day of tasting different wines - nice touch) And of course - the breakfast. Service and the food were just amazing! Thank you for the lovely experience!

I would have liked to have better coffee facilities at Breakfast (just filter coffee available, no cappuccino for example) and the seats on the patio outside the room are not particularly comfortable and therefore made that space a bit of a waste when in fact it would have been a nice space to sit out on

Excellent location, centrally located just off the main Huguenot street so its a short walk to all of the main shops and restaurants. Quick and easy check-in process and very friendly and helpful staff members. Room was so cosy, the aircon was on heat mode as we entered which was so lovely since it was quiet cold outside. Bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed.

If i'm being picky, the shower pressure was not that great.
