Carol and the rest of the staff were incredibly warm, inviting and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was brilliant- so close to town (literally 5min walk to the main road with restaurants etc), yet a serene and calm oasis away from noise. Beds very comfortable. Room nice and large for us and our kids. Kids loved the pool and the space to lounge around the garden.

Room is a little dated - some areas needing painting. Bathroom showing some signs of humidity affecting painting etc but nothing that impacted our stay at all.

Beautiful building and beautiful well thought out landscaped gardens. The view from the garden rooms over the pool area were lovely from our bed in the morning. Perfect location in the centre of town. Helpful friendly staff. Nicely decorated in muted calming tones.

The bed (although comfortable) was a little too small in length. My husband's feet were hanging off the end. The bathroom had a small table in it but it would benefit from something a bit larger to accommodate toiletries, we were putting things on the floor.

I stayed at Mont d'Or Franschhoek for one night during a solo trip, and it was a truly delightful experience. The property is absolutely lovely, with an exceptional attention to detail that made my stay feel personal and welcoming. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure everything was perfect. The place is super clean and incredibly well-situated, making it easy to explore Franschhoek.

The only thing I’d note is that the room I stayed in was on the smaller side, which worked perfectly for me as a solo traveler but might not be ideal for couples. That said, they do have larger room options available, so it’s worth checking what suits your needs.

Beautiful guesthouse in the heart of Franschhoek. Very laid back, calm venue with amazingly helpful and friendly staff. The guesthouse is quite small, not many rooms which gives it a nice intimate feel. The breakfast was delicious.

The only thing to note is that was that the bed we had was quite short so our feet hung off the end (but we are both quite tall). But the bed was lovely and big width ways.

Lovely room with a mezzanine for the kids and a very comfortable bed and pillows.

The WiFi was terrible, while we were there, (apparently there was an issue they were trying to fix) and the tv was temperamental. Neither of these things made a huge impact to our holiday bit as we didn’t have data roaming the WiFi was a little frustrating.

The property is lovely, we enjoyed our stay. Staff was nice and breakfast very good.

We had to change room even thought our booking was for 2 nights, the first night was on the street side which wasnt very nice. The day after we stayed at the garden side and that was much better. Check out is a little too early, 11 would be better.

Beautiful property, exceptionally clean, lovely comfy bed, well managed and maintained inside and out. The location could not be any better. They went out of their way to allow us to check in early as we had an event the same afternoon. A wonderful little gem - thank you so much for having us!

The hotel staff were very friendly indeed and service was superb, lovely greeting too from Carol. The rooms were beautiful and location was very close to the main street. Probably the best place we stayed on our trip and will most certainly return again on our next trip to South Africa.

Location was unbelievable to explore the beautiful town , the feeling was tranquil and relaxing by the pool, the garden was beautiful , the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

I could of done with a smaller pillow but then I didnt ask for another one so my fault!

The whole guesthouse is really beautiful with the buildings and garden. It is also in very good location. Our room was super nice and spacious and beds comfortable. Downside was that we stayed there only two nights.

The pool is quite small with cold water, but would definitely stay again!
