Clean, modern and spacious room, bed was very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location

Room description on Booking. com needs to be updated. There was some confusion regarding the difference between a Deluxe room and a Classic room. In particular the inclusion of a patio and bath. Eventually all was sorted out and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very well situated within easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants in Franschoek. Staff were really very helpful. Having a "Smart TV" that one could sign into programs like Netflix and others is brilliant - its something more and more Hotels should offer, particularly considering the poor offering on DSTV. Great breakfast too - lots of choices.

The bathroom really could do with an upgrade. There was no place to hang towels out and the bathroom just looked "tired" A heated towel rail would be useful considering the cold and humid weather.

The location was fantastic. Spacious room with lovely terrace and plunge pool. Some desk and breakfast staff were lovely and efficent.

The maintenance person who accessed our patio in the morning without warning. The desk staff who didn't have a map and didn't have a clue about our prearranged taxi. No mirror in the room except for inside the wardrobe door.

Amazing staff, went beyond to help us out. Gorgeous rooms and lovely hotel, photos don't do it justice. Great location a couple roads back from the centre of town.

Whilst we didn't use the pool, the area looked a bit dated compared to the rest of the hotel which was gorgeous.

The staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was good. The overall layout was very good if a little quirky and the pool and bar were very enjoyable. The air con was really good and the rooms modern clean and airy. Overall we had a great time.

The only things we found didn't work 100% were there was no mirror near enough to the dressing table to do make up, also having a window in the shower which looks onto the next rooms outside seating was odd! Trying to get back into the car park after popping out was very difficult, we always ended up having to access via the pedestrian gate then walk to reception to get them to open the car park gate as ringing the bell never worked.

What a gem of a hotel. Right in the heart of Franschhoek with views of the mountain as a backdrop—the location couldn’t be better. Tons of restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. From the moment I arrived, the attentive staff made me feel welcome and appreciated. I was upgraded to a room in the new building with a small plunge pool and an outdoor sitting area. The breakfast was one of the best I had on my holiday in Africa. Added bonus: they serve breakfast quite late for those who aren’t early risers. I highly recommend Chapter House Boutique Hotel.

We have stayed here before in the Old School House section, this time we asked to stay in the new section. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have all the facilities you need for a trip. We like the relaxed feel of the hotel created by the lovely team. Breakfasts were excellent. We love the location, just behind the main road means it is quiet but within walking distance of some simply gorgeous restaurants.

There is a car park behind the new building which has a looked gate for security. When we were visiting the camera & bell system wasn’t working so one of us had to walk up to reception to get entrance, ok once but by the third time a bit of a pain. Also when you leave the property you need to angle the car carefully otherwise you catch the front bumper on the steep incline - sadly we did this every time we left and couldn’t get the angle right - fortunately no major damage! The hotel could warn guests or do something to change the steep dip.

I was. So impress. When we get there we were greeted by the lovely lady Ayona who take us for a introduction. Room. Was sooo. Beautiful. Food was amazing.. Very young friendly guy Alex served us Oh what a bundle. Of joy. The owners should give him a tap on the shoulder. He was outstanding with his hospitality. Than there was Wesley and Ash always busy greeting and helping the guest. I must say they run that place. As if they are the owners. Team. Work. Make DreamWork. I am. Super proud of them. Thank you for an amazing night.

I love everything

We stayed at Chapter House for one night and had a wonderful experience, wishing we could have stayed longer. Large and quiet room with nice interior design. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. There were enough parking lots reserved for hotel guests in front of the property and the overall premises felt safe. It is possible to walk to the restaurants on the main street, even during the evening. The entire staff made our stay very enjoyable and were happy to provide good local recommendations. By chance, prior to Chapter House we stayed at their sister hotel in Cape Town, which delivered the same level of quality.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area with cosy fire was very nice place to have a coffee and relax. The room was, in general very good. The breakfast was very enjoyable.

Minor defects in the room: - Shower mixer had H&C sides wrong way around. - Bath taps had minor leak - USB connections by bedside table didn't seem to work (not connected??) We were quite surprised that there was nothing available AT ALL to watch on TV. Everything was either locked or required sign-in.
