Very friendly service staff. The guest house is very close to the main road and the area is 100% safe.It was lovely to go for a walk outside at night without worrying about safety.

Not necessarily something I didn’t like but it would have been nice to have the fireplace on in the main house for the guests to enjoy especially on winter nights.

Les Chambres is an absolute gem! The beautifully appointed rooms, amazing comfy bed and linen, the gorgeous roses and the friendly staff make this a perfect guesthouse for a romantic getaway. The location is perfect as it is a short walk to wonderful restaurants and cafes. The best was the hosts made us feel so welcome, and Peter in particular looked after us like family! He really went the extra mile, and his warmth, care and humor will be long remembered. We can highly recommend staying here and we hope to return soon to enjoy Les Chambres again...

The heated swimming pool was lovely to use. We had two rooms and they were both very spacious and comfortable. The garden and communal space was also all very lovely and although we only stayed here for one night we would have loved to have stayed for longer. We were given a recommendation for dinner that was perfect for our family (older teenage boys) and the short walk to the main street felt very safe. Independent shops and restaurants within a very short walk.

All of the staff that we spoke to were just lovely and friendly and helpful. There were 4 private parking spaces off the street. In order to enter you then walk through a secure gate so you feel safe once inside and as you approach the main house the gardens are beautifully maintained. I was walking around sniffing all of the beautiful flowers! The main house is beautiful. It is immaculately clean and as soon as we arrived we were offered a drink. There was a lovely lady that also came around the pool offering drinks quite regularly which was really kind. THE POOL WAS HEATED which was just amazing as it was the first place where we have stayed in SA that was! Breakfast was mega as you could order a variety of hot food and there was also a small buffet table of various foods. The main street in Franschhoek is a 5 minute walk away which is the perfect location.

I can't think of anything!! Would I stay here again? Most definitely but next time we will request one of the rooms with a terrace and a hot tub as we were upstairs in the main house.

The guesthouse is a wonderful accomodation in a lovely colonial style mansion with a beautiful garden, heated pool, great breakfast and free parking. It’s located in the middle of Franschhoek only a few steps from several great restaurants but still very quiet. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the complementary drinks and popcorn in the room.

The shower was not self explanatory

Everything is absolutely perfect! Big beautiful room, 200*200 bed, rose garden, breakfast, service. But what is even more important for South Africa: they have no load shedding (AC works all night) and a HEATED pool. Absolutely calm.

Nothing! Just FYI: 2 minute walk to great French restaurants on a main road. 13 min beatiful walk to a Franschhoek WineTram Terminal is only an advantage to explore this gorgeous town. 4 min walk to Le Lude, one of the best “Champagne” wineries.

The breakfast was outstanding, served on the lovely patio in the sunshine. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Complimentary teas and a Nespresso coffee machine was quite welcome after a long day. We were able to walk to dinner and choose from a number of delightful restaurants. An added bonus are the simply magnificent rose gardens. Peter and Bradley are outstanding hosts!

The guesthouse is set amongst a beautiful rose garden with a generous pool area, it is very close to the main shopping street but very private, quiet and safe. The staff made us feel very welcome and even allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food. Jan, the manager, is very friendly and makes sure everything runs smoothly at the guesthouse. I would highly recommend Les Chambres to everyone.

Beautiful guest house with the most outstanding gardens.Tasteful design comfortable beds large room with a spacious terrace overlooking a swimming pool with dramatic mountain view Quite side street 100 metres from town centre.Excellent breakfast cooked to order .Polite staff efficiency managed by a professional on site manager .Would merit a10 not the 9 I gave as a grade but for the small comments I have .Recommend the place to anyone

Bed lamps attached to same switch as main lights so one cant read at night without disturbing partner .TV has Neftflix but no TV channels.Message says you can switch on your home subscription so tourists cant see news or sports .A little expensive

Great position in town, waking distance to the main road with restaurants and shops but parking is also available on site too. Nice plush rooms with complimentary wine & voucher for a local vineyard. Great view of the mountain and pretty rose garden. Outstanding breakfast served in the morning and overall a good spot to stay while venturing out to explore the town.

Only a small petty thing was the access to the property is a bit cumbersome with 3 different keys for the various gates, we got home late in the evening and had to fiddle around to get the right key to the right gate. Should note on the upside you are quite secure on the property with the gates!
