Luxurious, beautifully decorated, spacious home in perfect location walkable to town. Gorgeous garden, shared pool area with outdoor braai and wood fired pizza oven. Secure parking next to house with electric gate. Heat/AC wall units in all 3 bedrooms, plus electric blanket kept us warm at night…fireplace with wood to heat living room. All 3 bedrooms have bathrooms with double head showers in modern frameless glass showers….soaps, towels and robes in each. Master also has a bathtub with bubbles. Lovely owner that was very responsive to any questions. Also gave us a bottle of wine, milk, jam, butter, rusks, granola, candy and lots of spices, plus oil and balsamic. Kitchen had everything and more available for cooking. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Only has a washing machine and had to dry clothes outside. A dryer would be helpful.

We stayed in Le Petit Plaisir, the separate cottage. It could not have been more comfortable and was kitted out with all sorts of things most places would not think of providing, including a box of very useful things designed to assist if anything essential had been left at home. Our hostess was very welcoming and kept in touch throughout without being intrusive. The homemade goodies and milk, butter etc provided were appreciated. The location is perfect - a 10-minute walk into town but away from the hustle and bustle, and in a very picturesque residential area. We highly recommend this place.

We can't think of anything that could have been better.

We have stayed several times in Franschoek over the years and we were really blown away by this property - it was truly superb. The bedrooms are modern and extremely spacious and the bathrooms were amazing (double showers in each of the rooms!). We made use of the braai (barbecue) area and huge kitchen to have a homely night one evening and went into town on the second evening. Franschoek is a delightful town to visit and I can't recommend this establishment high enough as a great place to stay - and it's good value for money too! Thanks to Marlicia for being such a great hostess.

The cottage is beautifully maintained. Bedrooms and bathroom spacious with luxury products provided . Kitchen well equipped . Access to garden , pool and patio. Close enough to walk down to the main road but lovely to run around the dam and side roads . There is construction at the house next door to which is noisy but able to reduce the noise by closing the windows . Hostess was accommodating and allowed us a later check out . Warm and friendly and would love to return for a longer stay

One has to understand that construction is part of life and may have an temporary impact

Such a tranquil place , a hidden gem. Lois and Marlicia are the perfect hosts. The homemade cookies were lovely , the property had everything that you needed . Marlicia was very helpful and also gave us the number of a local driver ,Johnny, who was great ! We loved Marlicia’s recommendation to eat at Reuben’s! An absolute delight

The builders next door started early and were noisy . Nothing to do with Marlicia and Lois, but maybe the neighbouring property owner should consider that there is a rental property next door and should ask the builders to respect that

The house is so spacious and very well kitted out. We wanted for nothing. The hostess super lovely and welcomed us on arrival and saw us off on departure. Wood was available and craft beer at the property for a small extra fee if used. Cleaning was included and we absolutely loved the electric blankets in the very cold winter nights. Showers were amazing and everything is quite modern with a cosy feel. Would definitely stay again.

That we couldn't stay longer

Beautiful property, thoughtfully decorated. Lots of internal space with everything you need for a comfortable stay and more (including home made baked goods!). The gardens and pool area are amazing. What made the stay was the owner, who was incredibly responsive to queries, gave us the perfect suggestions for activities and restaurants, and was just so lovely and accommodating, which made my father’s birthday celebrations special.

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Petit Plaisir is a lovely option for anyone wanting to stay in Franschoeke. It's a 10 minute walk to the centre of the village and all the restaurants. A 20 minute walk to the Wine tram terminal. The house is very well equipped, the bathroom is huge and lovely. Well stocked kitchen, we appreciated the bottle of wine the hosts gave us. Very comfortable bed, and the bathrobes were a nice touch. There's also a little garden with a pool but as it's was Spring it wasn't warm enough to use the pool.

This home was outstanding! Lovely accommodations and a wonderful host! The house was perfect for 3 couples. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was perfect. The home is in a convenient location to town and walking distance to many things to see and do. Marlicia was welcoming and available to answer any questions we had. Communication was outstanding throughout our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer!

We cant talk highly enough of this property and the owner. Communication was perfect. Marlicia, the lady that we communicated with and owner of the property was really lovely. We cant express how perfect she was in communicating and discussing what to do in the area. The accomodation was the best we stayed in all holiday. Kitchen , Living room , Bedroom amd Bathroom. All in very good and spotless condition. Bed was good as was the Wifi. Off street gated parking. The shower was a brilliant walk in with 2! shower heads. There is also a bath. The property shares an area with a good swimming pool and there is your own courtyard area to the side. The property is in walking distance of the town but you can get taxi`s if so required. All in all we would highly reccomend and will certainly return on our next trip.
