The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a free late check out. A staff member from the hotel walked us from the hotel to our terminal when we checked out. Room service was fast and great. Turn down service was also nice. I used the pool and gym. Both were good. Breakfast included a buffet and a la carte menu. There was a very wide selection of food choices. We also had lunch at the hotel's restaurant. The lunch menu had lots of options as well. Very convenient for a one-night layover. It's a 2-3 minute walk to the airport.

There were volunteers at the airport, but they made us a little uncomfortable. We wanted to find our own way to the hotel after we got our luggage, but they were a little aggressive about showing you were to go and then wanting a tip. When we checked out, we opted to have someone from the hotel escort us to the airport (which we felt very safe doing).

On our way back from Zambia to Austria we chose your hotel because of the perfect location close to the airport. It exceeded all our expectations. We experienced a very warm welcome at the reception, enjoyed the nice room as well as dinner and breakfast. The staff's attentive care for their guests is outstanding. In fact, if there were a staff competition, yours would win the gold medal !!! After having checked out, one of your friendly porters accompanied us with all our luggage from the hotel right to the counter of our airline: unbelievable... never experienced before... thank you !

We were looked after very well on this visit ….everyone was courteous and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived in a massive thunderstorm and there were hotel staff waiting at the airport exit with umbrellas for the 1 minute walk in the open to the hotel entrance. The breakfast as always was fabulous and the room was a good size. As IHG members we were given a complimentary drink voucher each which was nice. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel this time though. I really cannot think of anything I disliked, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Johannesburg.

The room was perfect a little smaller than what I am used to but it was clean , well arranged ,the linen was absolutely clean and great quality indeed ( I'm very particular with that)- the best part was the mini-bar Lol whoever parked the fridge should get a bonus Lol - I really enjoyed the selection. The staff were professional and very attentive. I was welcomed by one of the ladies -that is what I call special attention (it was very special) I hope other hotels can learn from you - small gestures like that is what keeps us coming back. Your hotel has the best customer care 100% professionalism from your staff .

Breakfast needs some attention - the was no selection at all - the items were too limited - for that kind of hotel at the airport I expected much more value for money.

Only thing that I can say was a definite negative , was the short beds ! At 5ft 4, I’m not even tall and my feet were cramped in . Our travelling companions (also short ) complained of the same . I’m assuming shorter length beds were used to allow more space between bed and tv /wall , but it was not pleasant having your feet pushing and cramped at the bottom of the bed

Reception on arrival at hotel was great and staff very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed time at the bar and had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Had a great day at the spa and can definitely recommend a visit to the spa. The very short walking distance to / from the airport terminal was very convenient.

Can't point something out that I didn't like.

I had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental recently. The only thing I would say is that the entrance was undergoing construction and it was not clear where to enter from the arrivals section. I also think the hotel in general was a bit over priced for what it was but again it is a brand name but I would deduct a couple of point perhaps for value for money tbh. On a positive note, I was VERY happy and impressed by the staff who walked me and my bags all the way from the hotel to my check in desk (up 2 flights on elevators) for the departures upstairs on my check out date. I was a bit nervous navigating the Joburg airport as I hadn't been there before and they were awesome!!! I would come back to this hotel because of their service :)

Nice location, next to the airport. really easy access. Nice room and restaurant.

some of the service people are not diligent enough. Service in the breakfast is slow I had a lost jacket and when I came back to pick it up it took more than one hour to recover it when I was told that somebody would come right away. i almost lost my flight return !!’ it was really frustrating

This hotel is the business. The staff can't do enough for you. They're wonderful. Stayed twice during my trip to South Africa and Botswana safari as a stop over between trips. The location is adjacent to the airport. Walk across from the arrival hall. The rooms are magnificent. Sit watching your tv from your marble bath in your marble bathroom sipping a glass of champagne. So many extras in the room. Staff are wonderful go above & beyond. Food is top notch 👌 restaurant & room service. Breakfast in the morning is the best. Set my alarm for this. Everything is available from a a variety of cooked breakfast options & a buffet. Cereals fruits cheeses breads nuts dried fruit pastries juices. Totally spoilt for choice & they know how to make coffee too. They have a chauffeured mercedes fleet to take you wherever you want to go & will return and collect you when you call. It will be even more super when the terrace is completed along with the garden area. Will definitely be staying at this hotel again when i return to Johannesburg

Location is great. Checkin was efficient and nicely explained. Very courteous lady. All doormen on entry make u feel that they know since long.

Everything was great. The barman was excellent and did whatever he could to find what I wanted or near if not available. He even went out of his way to give me a bottle of water when i forgot my bottle half used on the dining table (which was later retrieved) but the gesture summed it all. On checking out at 04h30, i was worried to walk between the hotel and the departure terminal and the doorman Mr Goodwill went out of his way to escort me half way and when i felt secure, i asked him to let me go alone but otherwise he was willing to escort me all through. The staff are the best i hv seen and i travel 10 times a year!
