We chose this hotel because of its proximity from the airport and the availability of shuttle (5 min drive) . Room was ok for our 1 night stay and well cleaned. Airport shuttle was right on time and the driver was very helpful and cordial. Checkin - checkout was quick and efficient. Breakfast was awesome with a very good variety of items for all tastes.

One of the rooms we booked had parts of the carpet which were wet/humid. This, I guess, was caused by the faulty A.C which itself was another inconvenience: the "compressor" part was inside the room so each time the cooling started, it generated quite some noise inside the room. It somewhat disturbed our sleep - we checked in late and had to move out the next morning.

The hotel was easy to access from the airport. The transfer was really good. There was a great bar in the hotel lobby. We really enjoyed the buffet dinner which was great value for Money.

It was a little bit difficult to coordinate the times of the transfers as they are only happened once per hour. Although the buffet dinner was excellent we had to wait until 6:30 pm for the Restaurant to open. We arrived two hours before opening time and we were absolutely exhausted and starving. It would’ve been great to get food availability sooner. Although inconvenient, I don’t think this would stop us from staying at this hotel again.

Loved everything about this place. The hotel felt very safe, it was quiet, and all staff we encountered were friendly and professional. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable, with very comfortable beds and bedding. The food at the restaurant was very nice. The spa was very well priced and we had the best massages and facials ever! The free airport shuttle made getting to and from the airport so easy.

Absolutely nothing not to like. We have stayed here twice in the past week when flying in and out of Johannesburg, and loved it so much that we have booked to stay again next month.

All of it was delightful. The driver and porter were very helpful. The front desk clerk was friendly and supportive. The restaurant manager and head waiter were exceptional and the food was very, very good and tasty. "Just what the doctor ordered," so to speak. Yes, it was a pleasant stay.

I would make 2 recommendations: 1) explain the 2 switches at the front entrance of each room. I have no idea what they do, but they shine blue when turned on. I thought one was for the exhaust fan in the bathroom, but if it was, I don;t think mine worked. I thought the other one turned on a heat lamp, but that never happened, and it did not turn on a light in the outside corridor to illuminate the room number. That was already done; 2) Please provide a cover sheet in case it gets too hot to use the duvet; it's better than turning up the AC or turning up the heater. Neither of these 2 things interrupted my comfort or enjoyment of my stay. Thank you.

Hotel is clean, rooms are a good size, front of house staff very professional, friendly and helpful.

Asked for a standard king size room and was switched to a disabled room without being asked whether I preferred this type of room (I arrived in my mobility scooter so it was reasonable for the desk staff to assume that I required this type of room, but I do not and the disabled room only had at the very least a queen size which we found not to our liking. If I had required a disabled room I would have booked it. Having said that I appreciate the gesture and the desk staff’s initiative. We found the service in the restaurant was very slow however the wait staff were very friendly.

The Complimentary airport shuttle is thoughtful and convenient. The front desk staff were also polite and professional.

I accidentally double booked myself at O.R.Tambo Premier Hotel due to connectivity issues on the road. This was acknowledged and resolved during check-in and revisited during check-out. Hotel management is now citing "non-refundable booking policies" to withhold a refund for the accidental double pay. I find this unethical and distasteful. As consumers, we cannot continue to ignore and enable exploitative business practices. I am happy to pay for a good service but absolutely disgusted that business can openly scam us now and get away with it.

Excellent in many ways, but a few personal experiences stood out—unfortunately, not for the right reasons. The dim lighting intended to create ambience was a nice idea in theory, but in practice, it made it difficult to see properly. More concerning was a rather unsettling incident involving a colleague during our conference stay. That said, the hotel itself is well-maintained, the rooms are clean, and the food is exceptional. It’s just unfortunate that, despite the many positives, it's the smaller shortcomings that tend to linger in your memory.

I had an amazing night at the premier hotel. Right from their airport free shuttle,to and fro, mind the shuttle is so time conscious,mad respect for that!!!!!! The staff right from the check in counters are very friendly and so welcoming. I helped myself to a night buffet, which was on another level of good, with meals perfectly cooked, for only 300south-african rand. I only spent a night at this hotel but this, this will be one i will never forget! Professionalism!!! Thanks premier....YOU ROCK!!!!!!

Lightings were kinda dim. That was the only downside on my end.

Nice hotel in a less-than-perfect neighborhood, but that wasn't necessary considering the purpose (an overnight stay after a flight to pick up a rental car the next day). The shuttle service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately, the restaurant chef didn't know how to properly cook a steak if you ordered it rare or medium-rare... Other food and the breakfast were good, only a pity there was no cappuccino available for breakfast.

That it was near the airport and that they offered a free early morning shuttle (5AM). The room was modern, spotless and comfortable.

I was placed at the furthest end of the hotel on the 2nd floor - had to walk miles to get to my room, whilst the hotel didn't appear to be full.... why place a guest that far from the lifts and reception in case of an emergency and when the guest is in her late 60's - it makes no sense. I had to walk so far and was in pain when I arrived. The early morning dash for the shuttle also made being placed MILES from reception difficult.
