Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant staff was very friendly, Olwethu aka olo was awesome. Lerato was the best when I checked in, the check in process was smooth and quick, he helped me with the bags to my room. And Siya from reception was the best too, talkative gent, friendly. And the housekeeping team did an amazing job too, I arrived very late and when I got to the room it was very warm the AC was on. The room was super clean and had all amenities needed big up to the housekeeping team and the person that was cleaning my room daily. To sum up my stay was incredible and will definitely come back. And to the person managing the lodge well done, the lodge is full of amazing staff who offer excellent service, such an incredible hospitality I received. Thank you Thozama (assistant GM) for the welcome letter received in the room.

I loved everything

Everything was really nice. Nice room and splendid location overlooking Robberg beach. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff were efficient and very friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was very enjoyable.

I think they need to look at the small pool for the Cottage Pie residents. It seems to have a leak that requires daily topping up, resulting in cooler temperature than ideal. A small point that didn't detract from a lovely stay.

Location was great and when we phoned down to reception with an issue about our shower a staff member was there within a few minutes to handle the situation, which in this case was to upgrade us. Thank you

Front Desk staff need to be trained on how to better handle early check-in requests. We all know that check-in time is 2 p.m., so when someone asks about checking in before then, it's clearly for an early check-in. A better response would be to say, 'I will check if your room is available,' rather than simply repeating, 'Check-in is at 2 p.m.,' which can frustrate a tired guest.

Breakfast view was amazing. The bed was comfortable and large. The shower and bath worked well. Staff were very helpful. Pool was nice.

The room was quite shabby, broken drawer, horrible dirty rug, dated shabby kitchen, broken sofa, almost broken garden doors. Whole room needed refurbishment. No storage space for child clothes

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely amazing views would definitely recommend.

The WiFi in our room was not working and they were unable to get it working over the 4 nights that we spent there. The TV left something to be desired as it was quite grainy.

We loved it. This was our 3rd time here and we will be back. The locations is the best, just a cross from an amazing beach. The rooms are spacious and so stunning. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is so so nice. We just feel so rested and relaxed after we have been here. Its definitely one of our favorite places to stay.

• Very neat and tidy • The room was extremely spacious and bright • The bath was quite big and deep, the shower was also big and the water pressure was amazing • Everything was of high quality - there were no cheap shortcuts • Super convenient location, secure parking, quiet neighbourhood with shops etc. 5 minutes away

• There were no regular towels when we arrived, only pool towels • The telephone cable connection was broken so the wire kept falling out • Reception at first didn’t answer and then took ages to answer • Housekeeping took a long time to bring the requested towels • The actual location of the lodge doesn’t match what Google Maps shows (it seems it’s still showing the old entrance location)

The beach outside might be one of the best beaches in the world. The staff here were amazing and it was overall a lovely stay. The food was really good in the restaurant too.

The walls were a little thin in the cottage pie so you could hear your neighbors room but it didn't really affect our stay.

Great location, near the beach & there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Excellent service from lovely staff. Good selection at breakfast.

Nothing except walls of rooms are quite thin so you can hear people staying nearby.

Lovely property. We stayed in the Cottage Pie rooms which were very cute. Breakfast was lovely, particularly if you get a spot on the veranda looking over the sea view. Robberg Beach is literally on your doorstep, great for walks.

The Cottage Pie rooms aren't connected to the generator which unfortunately meant that for the scheduled power outages the aircon went off for two hours every night between 2-4am. The bedroom itself is quite small so resulted in a few nights of disrupted sleep. Only property in SA in our two week stay where we encountered this issue. Also on our second breakfast a staff member told us our hot breakfast wasn't included. We assured them it was, then we heard no more about it, so was just a bit abrupt! Would expect to be told on check-in if this was the case.
