The owner was really kind, and helped us along the way. The rooms were spacious and even had a small balcony and good views, a lot of room to leave our luggage, and had an elevator to move between the floors, plus a terrace overlooking the river which was very nice. The commodities (water purifier, kitchenette, free towels & laundry) were also very convenient.

Due to the nature of the location (in a hill), it is very tiring to carry your luggage up to the guesthouse. And our mattress was very thin, which wasn't an issue as our stay was short, but i can imagine it becoming an issue during longer stays. Overall a good experience and very worth the price! But still ought to consider these details :) Important to note that the owner had a couple puppies & a kitten (very cute and amicable) freely roaming around the common areas, just in case you have allergies.

This was my third stay in this guesthouse and I was satisfied as always. We had a smaller room, with the bed for two, but we managed to get around the room even with our suitcases opened. I really like how the rooms are decorated! We also had a tiny balcony with a nice view and window in the bathroom, what was great, because the bathroom gets humid very easily. I really love the location of the guesthouse. You can get to the subway stations Mapo and Gondok within 10-15 minutes in walking distance. There are lots of shops and restaurants and cafés around. Also, you can get to the very city center within 15 minutes by subway and still the location of the guesthouse is really quite and calm. There is also a bank with global ATM next to the exit of the Mapo station. The stuff of the guesthouse is very kind and helpful. They responded me here on booking app within few hourse and helped me with everything I needed. You can also catch them in the common room during the day or in the evening. During your stay, you can change your towels for new ones, and what I really appreciated is that in the hallway there is a water purifier where you can fill your bottles with drinkable water for free. Also there is a lift in the guesthouse so you can reach your floor conveniently with your luggages. I truly recommend this guesthouse.

This time I was quite upset with other guests because they were very loud on the hallway past midnight and through the whole night so I couldn't really sleep. I understand that is not the fault of the guesthouse but more as a coincidence who will stay at the same time as you in the guesthouse. But I was quite disapointed. Maybe it was because our room was placed next to the shared room... also there was a little mold in the bathroom on the sink but it was ok. And the kitchen is not equiped if you wanna cook there but we used just mugs.

The space felt like a cozy colorful dorm with the downstairs communal space and kitchen. My bright yellow room was cute and had everything I needed (I was only there for a night). The host had two adorable dogs and two cats who were social and very sweet. Popcorn( the dog) was my favorite! The owner/host herself was friendly and a very talented artist. Her beautiful art was all over the building hallways with a ton of canvases in the communal space. Most of the staff was international but welcoming- they gave me directions to the convenience stores and cafes. i only saw the roof for a brief visit in the morning but the view of the river, bridge and mountains was lovely. They even had a karaoke room which I wish I noticed earlier. They also let me store my luggage and hang out after I checked out. Overall a great stay :)

The only thing that stuck out to me was the bathroom sink. Every time I would run the water it would leak out of the bottom.

Great view, and always felt lively because of the mix of long term and short term travelers staying there. Depending on the room you book, you can also have all the privacy you desire. Great view from my 5th floor room, and the rooftop can be a great place to spend time.

As other reviews might have mentioned, it is located ontop of a 15 degree + incline, so if you stay in summer you will be sweaty by the time you reach the door. Would be difficult to access for those with mobility issues.

I just loved everything about my stay here. My room was cosy and comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. There was so much love to the detail in the decoration that I felt home from the very first day! The rooftop terasse allowed me a beautiful view on the skyline of the neighbourhood, the Han River and the fire works💞 I loved to have my privacy and to be able to come and go independently due to the passcode key at the entrance, aswell as to my room. From water to toothbrush, from washing machine to trashbags- everything was provided for free, or for a very reasonable fee! This is especially very conveniend if you staying a little longer. Before you arrive you‘ll get a very detailed description about every important detail for your stay, including a video how to find your way from the airport to the guesthouse. Everybody working there is very kind and helpful! I really enjoyed every minute of my 3 weeks stay!💞

If you don‘t like to walk you‘ll struggle with the way up to the guesthouse. It is very steep and especially with luggage a little challenging - yet doable! I actually enjoyed the daily exercise😉

The owner is very welcoming, invested a lot if effort to create comfortable and family-like hostel - with common spaces, filtered water, microwave etc. I felt safe with the authomatic lock system. There was everything in the room - towels, hairdryer, hair straightener, cooker even a toothpaste.

The balcony in the yellow room wasn't really a space to enjoy - technical stuff (pipes, wires) is there, it is closed and not a nice view. But as I didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it was not a problem. No coffee and no breakfast - sad but not a big issue with caffes down the hill. Location - up the hill, not far from the public transport (10 min), however a bit secluded feeling.

Juliana (who I think was the guesthouse’s owner) was exceptionally helpful and hospitable. The room was clean, cozy, with everything you needed prepared in advance. The common room was also great, extra brownie points for Juliana’s pets. Those little pups were definitely a surprise but they were a happy surprise :)

The washroom sink runs a bit slow, but that’s understandable I guess since it’s a room rented by a whole bunch of people each year with no break so frequent maintenance might be tricky.

A great stay! Clean, cozy rooms, very peaceful and quiet during our stay, in a comfortable and friendly hotel/hostel. The staff were kind and welcoming, and provided needed for a long stay (kitchen, paid laundry facilities, drinking water, etc). The hotel is on top of a hill, so take a taxi if you're coming with baggage! It's a peaceful setting though, and we enjoyed the daily walk home. Close to Mapo metro station.

The owner was very hospitable, open, and cordial. The room was great especially with the price.

Towels were a little small and the place was a hike to get to - was not prepared for it + heavy luggage

It can't be helped, but the road to the guesthouse is steep, so if you are planning to walk from the train or bus station with heavy luggage, that might not be the best idea.
