The hotel is super neat, clean and new. The room was spacious, interior was very fresh and recently renovated. We had a great view overlooking Seoul. The staff was accommodating, polite and professional - whenever we had requests they were happy to help. The room was a bit hot at first so we had to change it but again the receptionist was very accommodating.

The hotel is nice, but there were a few things that were pretty strange. I assume that these things are considered normal for Korean hospitality so next time I would just have the right expectations. The indoor swimming pool was cold because of the heating system failure. Moreover you need a swimming cap to swim there so we couldn’t use the pool basically. The wellness center is also completely closed on the first Wednesday of the month but you don’t get any compensation for that. You have to pay for sauna and outdoor pool which is a bit crazy considering the price of the stay.

Nothing really, except for the swimming pool, bit of a farce, $40 to use it, and extra for the cabanas We never saw many using it. Very disappointing not to be able to use it. The only 👎 in our stay. It’s a shame to see a nice area like it was not being used A charge like that is unwarranted, in all our travels, we never have come across this before.

Recently reopened and rebranded as Pullman, this Ambassador Hotel has been around for a while — and the expertise shows. Staff is attentive in the best way possible, never pushy but always quick to help. They reminded us of the great 5* star hotels of the olden days that are getting more and more difficult to find. While the rooms have gotten a *very* stylish makeover, quality materials and appliances have been used all over. Thanks to great maintenance, neither of our two rooms have shown any sign of wear. We’ve stayed in our fair share of luxury hotels in Seoul, including the higher end sister property (Sofitel in Songpa-gu), this Pullman hotel easily wins in overall ambiance. Even zooming out — I’d be hard pressed to name a better affordable 5* that’s impressed me the same way. We’ll be back for sure.

The rooms are unpleasantly warm in winter, no matter whether the central air conditioning is on or off. That’s in line with local taste; just hard to adjust to coming from Europe. I’d also argue that while reasonably central and calm, the location at the foot of Namsan is slightly inconvenient if you need to get to different parts of the city.

Access to the external pool comes at an additional fee, quite annoying even if it was just one cent..

Excellent hotel overall, super comfortable beds, modern fixtures and fittings including electric control of blinds from the bedside table. Rooms were of modern but subtle design and made for a very enjoyable stay. Buffet breakfast one of the best I’ve ever had (excellent variety and great quality food) and I travel the world every week for my work! Staff were very friendly.

Air conditioning seemed to not able to fully cool the room to the programmed temperature, however one of the windows can be opened slightly in order to aid room air temperature and quality without the need for air conditioning.

hotel location is near myeongdong. no language barrier, all staff speaks english well

less provide vegan or even halal food. should prioritise considering it is an international hotel

There is a bus stop right outside however we often walked to the train station. Had a lovely view of N Seoul Tower from our room and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room seemed to heat up overnight and we would wake up with dry hair, skin and airways. We tried adjusting the temperature but it never reached what we set. Would not recommend if going with someone other than partner/spouse because the privacy shower blind didn't do much. Towels need to be cleaned better as every towel I received had some mark or stain on it.

Very clean and nice interior. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room service was quick and delicious.

The central cooling system was turned off during the night which made the room hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. My sleep was disturbed and I had to get up to open a window.

My stay was pleasant. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff quickly fixed a minor issue in the bathroom, which was much appreciated. The location is decent, with a metro station 5 minutes away and a 7-Eleven nearby, and it’s easy to get to central Seoul by taxi in about 10 minutes.

I found it inconvenient that the hotel charges for basic amenities like toothbrushes and shaving kits, citing environmental reasons, but it's understandable, and the fees are not that expensive. Also, while the location is fine, it's not as central as I would have preferred.

Good-sized room with an amazing view over the city. Our room came with lounge access, which was really worth it because of the free breakfast buffet and happy hour, including a full dinner buffet. The lounge area was a beautiful place to hang out as well. Nice area being close to Namsan park and convenient metro access (as is true for most of Seoul).

It seemed crazy that the bar area and all in-house restaurants closed at 10pm on a Sunday in such a large international hotel. The staff were not flexible in accommodating any solutions when we inadvertently missed that deadline.
