Convenient location - 15 min. walk from Plaza de Catalunya Funny self check-in machine on the reception. Friendly staff. Clear step-by-step instructions. Pay attention that it is a hostel, not a hotel, so many tiny rooms is exactly what was expected. Be aware that the hostel is located in a kind of Chinatown area. To me there was no problem at all, but it might be a matter of safety concern.

The rooms are declared as non-smoking, moreover, there is a clear warning about the 200€ fine for smoking inside the room. Which is supposed to ensure additional cleaning in case of a violation. Still, at the check in there was a strong smell of weed smoke inside the room. I was lucky to have spare time after check-in, and the smell was eliminated by a stuff advised.

First of all Nora and Ariel were incredibly kind. The room was very clean and the toilet too. The location is perfect (I’m not sure about the security of the district, but I really liked it.

Just two little negative things: Unfortunately there wasn’t any kind of space to interact. The power of the shower was very low. But it’s a great place to stay and, I write that again, the staff is perfect.

If you’re looking for a great place to stay, this hostel is an amazing choice! The location is perfect—almost everything on our bucket list was within walking distance. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained every day. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s a family-run hostel, and you can truly feel the warmth and care they put into making guests feel at home. A special shoutout to Ariel and Marta—thank you both for your incredible hospitality and for always being there to help us with anything we needed!

The only downside we experienced was the Wi-Fi connection—it was quite slow, and even though the staff did their best to help when we mentioned it, it unfortunately did not improve much. Also, the hair dryers in the bathrooms seemed to stop working after about a minute, which was a bit inconvenient. Maybe consider bringing your own.

Title: Great place for young travelers! I stayed at Central and Basic Universitat with my friend, and we had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect — close to the metro and within walking distance of many main attractions. The atmosphere is friendly and youthful. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The receptionists were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help or accommodate our needs. For such a central location, the price is really, really good — a great value for budget travelers. We also really appreciated the self check-in system, which was super convenient since we arrived late at night. The lockers and secure entry added an extra sense of safety. Would definitely stay here again!

I gave it 10 points because I think the rating is unfairly low. If you want incredible services, then welcome to a five-star hotels. I initially booked for one night (there was no other option at the last minute), but when I got to the room I immediately booked for two more nights. The room is clean, the linen and towels are new, the shower and toilet are next to the room, the "big" staircase is only 8 steps to the elevator. The city nearby is excellent. The balcony is very nice. SPECIAL thanks to the very kind employee Ross, his help is excellent.

The rooms are reasonably small, equipped with a fan and air conditioning. You get a towel and the bed sheets- unlike as it is said in the reservaiton information. The bathrooms were fairly clean, but very humid and hot... The location might not be the greatest in ways of safety, but they are very close to all you need.

The room itself smelled a little, when you left the window closed for a while. The check in machine took like 5 attempts on scanning my id. There is a quite hight city tourist tax not mentioned in the reservation. Other than that it was good.

The hostel is really wonderful. It is located in the central part of the city, with great transportation connections. There are many shops and cafes around. It is very clean. The staff is very friendly. If you have any questions, it's better to call on WhatsApp from Ukrainian numbers.

The area is very noisy and crowded. However, earplugs are provided. I missed some kind of shelf in the shower to put shampoo or shower gel on. The hostel does not have a kitchen, and there is no electric kettle in the room. Therefore, unfortunately, you will have to look for tea in another place for dinner. It would be great if there was a small table and a chair in the room, as there wasn't enough space for folding things.

I liked the location and the room. Even though it overlooked a very noisy street, it was still very quiet once the windows were closed. It was extremely clean. the staff was very helpful as well, and even offered suggestion on where to visit. Beds were comfortable and the sheets and blankets were in very good condition as well.

The room was large enough to have a small wardrobe and a desk. However, the thing that irritated me most were the locks. I was in room 204 and every time I locked the room with the key, for some reason it needed some playing around to unlock it. Same goes with one of the common bathrooms. The fact that the (extremely helpful) staff is not there all the time makes things a bit difficult in these situations, because a person might remain locked out of their room. I believe the locks need to be checked and changed.

The hotel is in a very convenient location — everything was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The staff really go above and beyond — it honestly felt like a 5-star hotel experience. Special thanks to Ross, the manager, who was incredibly kind and attentive. He checked in every day to see if I needed anything and even offered me coffee. I didn’t expect such an outstanding level of service — it truly exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The neighbourhood was great. Great pulse of the city. We were one minute away from everything. Transport, good food, excellent bars. The staff was great also. Especially Marta.

Smelly neighborhood, but after a while you are used to it. The room was just for sleep. With a small window so it was kind of smelly too. Nothing special, but if you travel just to explore this is your place.
