This hotel is the perfect 'no frills' way to stay in Barcelona. Don't stay if you are expecting all the amenities of a five star hotel. Do stay, however, if you want a comfortable and well-located place to rest, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms, which seem to be recently renovated, are clean and smart and hotel has a quiet location in a side street close to metro stations that deliver you directly to key tourist attractions such as Sagrada Familia and the Passeig de Gràcia shopping district. It is a short walk to the many interesting cafes, bars, shops and markets within the El Raval and Gothic quarters on either side of Las Ramblas and attractions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art. El Raval is less touristy than Gothic and feels like a more authentic neighbourhood.

A bottle of sparkling wine on arrival was a nice, but odd and unnecessary touch. Providing water in rooms (in a sustainable way) would be better. On sustainability, providing plastic cups contained in plastic wrapping is not acceptable now. Providing an electric kettle in each room to prepare hot drinks and mugs and glasses would be an improvement.

Location was very central, super close to Place de Catalunya which was brilliant! It was off the main strip so was quiet at night when you wanted to sleep.

Although the hotel is officially rated 2 stars, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and i would give it 3* or even 4*. The room was very nice with a mordern design, and the lobby was very stylish. Breakfast was tasty, and the mattress and blankets were extremely comfortable. There was even complimentary mineral water in the room. The staff were very friendly and eager to help with anything. The location is also excellent — lots of bars, cafés, and restaurants nearby, plus two metro stations within walking distance. Despite the windows facing the street, it was very quiet at night. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The only issue I had was with the built-in hairdryer — it kept turning off. But when I mentioned it to the staff, they immediately offered me a proper one, which solved the problem.

The room was clean and of good enough size. Toilet was a separate room, but bathroom had bathtub separated from the bed room by transparent glass only (no issue for a solo traveller). Toothbrush, paste, shaving cream and a razor were also provided. Given the price and star rating, the hotel facility was excellent. Above all, staff members were very friendly and ready to help immediately. I had arrived hotel after 12:00 at night for check in, but the front-desk staff was so smilling guy that his friendly behavior made me feel home.

Negative side of hotel was its location in a narrow street, making it difficult to find the entrance.

Was 15 minutes walking to La Rambla, the Gothic quarters, Casa Battllo and Casa Mila, Santa Antoni metro 2 minutes away, Font Magica de Montjuic is also about 15 minutes away. Basically in the center of all most all the tourist sights with the metro near to travel to other sites. Staff very friendly and helpful. Always some present to great you when you return or leave. Small cozy room with glass enclosed tub (at least im my room).

if possible add USB charging ports .

The room was amazing value for money - it was perfect for us and is great for couples (so long as you don't mind getting VERY intimate!). Great location and easy to access all the main spots. The staff were all extremely friendly and more than happy to help and give recommendations.

Only downside was the building works going on at the time being quite loud in the afternoon, which was around the time we'd head back for a short rest! And only other small thing would be not having tea and coffee facilities in the room.

A very nice place with extra welcoming staff! Good breakfast, comfortable bed and pillows, 5 mins walk from metro - it was a perfect place for us! When I booked a room, I didn’t pay attention that a bathroom is kinda the same space as the room, but it turned out to be fun :)

Not something I disliked, but something I considered - the hotel is situated on the edge of Raval neighborhood. Area near the hotel is fine, but walking across Raval to La Rambla may not always be pleasant.

The room was specious considering we were in the centre of Barcelona and in a very reasonably priced hotel. Hanging space for clothes and storage under the dressing table for suitcases. The bath/shower was in the room and the wash basin next to the bath was easily accessed with space for our wash kits. The toilet was separate and still spacious with the door closed. The location was just a little tricky to find due to the road works near by the hotel staff were very helpful in giving directions to the underground parking which is right under the hotel and very secure - the rate was very reasonable and less than half of what it could cost in the nearby general parking. The bedroom was quiet when the windows were closed and even though the hotel is on a route to the main restaurant/shopping area we were not disturbed. The picture with this post is the venue for the best coffee and pastries in Barcelona - what a find and not too far from the hotel in Urquinaona - Pa, cafe i molt mes!

Possibly the one thing that could be better explained when booking, is how to get to the underground parking - even though it is under the hotel it is not obvious to the tourist who had not driven in Barcelona before.

The hotel was easy to find and in a great location. We could walk everywhere and lots nearby!! All the hotel staff were so welcoming and friendly - they gave us recommendations and always greeted us with a friendly smile and hello. The room was perfect and air conditioned and had everything we needed for a 4 day trip. Amazing hotel, very clean and tidy with amazing staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to a friend.

Staff was the real gem with good local and tailored recommendations. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Water at checl in. Allowed early check in and gave wake up call for my early morning departure. Excellent breakfast. Location is a 15min walk from main area but still veru walkable. Close to university.

Area can be a bit deserted at night but was safe. As solo female i just needed to be more aware of surroundings since it's on a smaller side street.
