Upgraded to a better room. The view was incredible from the top floor. Location was pretty good, but not perfect.

I think the pictures were misleading regarding the pool. It is paid access only as part of a spa treatment. The pool was one of the main reasons we picked to stay here.

I strongly recommend this hotel. only 2 problems. 1. the window can fully open in my room which is quite dangerous for children. but hotel solved this problem fast. 2. One night, the ceiling light can’t shut off after I tried every button. it kept on even I take away keys. The repairman arrived 5 mins after I called room service. it is acceptable for me.

Junior Suite in the Level (which gives access to the Level Lounge for breakfast and throughout the day). The room was fantastic and as described/shown in the pictures. The Staff throughout the hotel were really helpful, happy and as you would expect at a hotel like this. The Staff in the level and lounges were amazing and helped in every way we needed, be it at breakfast, questions on restaurants, getting taxis and general recommendations. The hotel itself is outside of the main tourist area, which makes it a quieter location and a walk or taxi into the main centre which we prefer. But its still surrounded by a lot of restaurants, supermarkets and taxis. Its actually better placed to get to non touristy restaurants which is a must for me. Just a fantastic experience and would 100% return here.

The television needs to be a smart TV with access to apps, or allow streaming from phone devices. Additionally access to HDMI ports is a must in 2024. Having 1 English channel and inability to stream from phones, left us a bit lacking if we wanted any TV in the late evenings. Its not a massive thing for me as we spent most of our time outside of the hotel, but when I visit other hotels of this standard, like Grand Hyatt, these features are a standard. An easy improvement opportunity. The lounge and bedroom had a large tv which was great, it just needs to be less restrictive and support better connectivity, so guests have options.

Hotel was very nice, clean and breakfast was good. position of hotel was ok, just 30 minute walk for Sagrada familia, or la Rambla street. As I say hotel was clean and staff was polite.

For example fridge from minibar didn't work, and for me seems they don't care about high standard which involve the 5 stars hotel. Is true, we don't complain about minibar, because we don't use it, but I'm sure they check it after each visitor and is impossible to see is not working, but how I say they don't care. For me is not a minus, for sure when I come in Barcelona I will choose Melia.

Location was ideal. Breakfast amazing, freshly cooked customised omelette, really lovely staff.

Big room but wardrobe layout tricky. Drawer area inside bathroom so two people trying to get ready and use bathroom at same time a bit of a dance. Beds fixed in position so can't seperate them to give a bit of space in-between. Beds are comfortable.

Hotel was very nice, room was spacious, large bathroom, friendly staff. Surprisingly , the pizza in the restaurant was top notch. The neighborhood is cute, half a block to Diagonal. You can taxi to downtown, Tibidabo, and Barcelonetta for 10-15eu. Our room overlooked the front entrance/ park, and it was very noisy throughout the night. So if that’s a thing for you, request a room away from the front. Also, the elevators to the rooms are really close to the front doors and there is no security check or requirement to present your room key so anyone can walk in and access the elevator. I would recommend the hotel look into upgrading the elevator security.

was clean, staff were friendly, food was excellent. faultless bedroom. restaurant downstairs was excellent. felt like an authentic Italian restaurant where the staff were incredible. Hector deserves a pay rise, so kind and so funny.

we did not expect the extra charges for use of the pool and sauna. €20 per person for one hour in a small indoor pool is ridiculous. for a five star these little luxury’s should not cost extra. I’d understand perhaps booking a slot for the pool for free as to avoid over crowding but not with a €20 cost per person.
