The hostel is interesting and in a good location (Casa Batlio and Casa Mila are just a few minutes away, Sagrada Familia is a 30-minute walk away, it takes the same amount of time to get to the center, the Gothic quarter, and it takes about 45 minutes to walk to the sea). The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and a big plus is that the lockers are automatically locked with a card (you don't need to carry your own padlock).

However, I think it's inconvenient if you take a six-bed room because it's still too many people for one bathroom and, especially in the morning, it's very crowded and noisy precisely because of that. I think a four-bed room is still a better option. The breakfast is average, maybe it would be good if there was a bigger selection of food, but it's not bad either.

Great location, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, large fridges. The hostel is clean and pleasant to stay in.

Its quite expensive - the same week (June/July) I paid a half of the price for a great hostel in Madrid. Quite noisy - kind of a party hostel and I dont mean just the evenings, sometimes during the day the music in common area was played really loud and not everyone is a big fan of reggaeton :)

I loved the energy of the hostel, every day there are activities, tours, dinners, pubcrawls that bring the guests together. Especially Bambu who works there and organizes all the dinners and pubcrawls, he is an incredible person, very lively and makes the hostel have a special memory for all of us. Thank you Bambu :)

The room for 14 people could be more spacious. I've been to hostels with more beds and they weren't that close to each other. I found the arrangement of the beds in the rooms complicated, especially since there were no curtains to provide more privacy. But I have to say that I loved the Blanket and it was the best of all the many hostels I've stayed at.

Staying at Sant Jordi Hostels Rock Palace was one of the best choices I made during my trip to Barcelona! The hostel has such a unique vibe – full of youthful energy, creative music-themed decor, and friendly people from all over the world. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed cozy, and the shower surprisingly great – a small detail, but very appreciated after a long day of exploring. The staff was always cheerful, helpful, and made check-in a breeze. “La buena vibra se siente en cada rincón!” – you can feel the good vibes in every corner! The location is perfect too – just a short walk to Eixample’s cozy cafés and some of the main sights like Casa Batlló and Plaça Catalunya. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home while also being a great spot to meet fellow travelers, Sant Jordi Hostel Rock Palace is the place to be!

I stayed in a 6 beds female bed room. Seeing the comments about it being a “party place” I was concerned because that wasn’t the kind of trip I was planning. I was pleasantly surprised when everyone was asleep by 10:30pm. Maybe it was luck, and maybe because it was a Sunday night, but I spent a great night. Quiet, comfortable beds, clean bathroom (the common one was cleaner). The best: the location. Being able to stay at the heart of Barcelona for a relatively low price is amazing. The staff is also very nice and welcoming. In summary: the hostel is suitable for all kinds of travelers. It has a lot of social events which doesn’t prevent it to be quiet at night.

Everything was great

The staff was overall friendly and helpful. The room was okay and the bed was quite comfortable. Lockers could be closed with the room card, so that was also a big pro. The bathroom and toilet were right next to the room which was handy as well. The ladies dorm was luckily calm and quiet at night. The little pool on the top floor seemed really nice but it wasn't really being used as the weather wasn't good enough. The pub crawl on Saturday was quite fun. The only downside is I felt like groups were already formed prior...

There was a lot of noise coming from the streets. No privacy curtains. Mixed bathroom and toilet (I booked a female dorm so I guess I was expecting there to be women only bathrooms/toilets as well). The night shift person was semi rude. I asked him some questions and he responded kind of annoyed/irritated.

Staff were genuine and helpful. Lots of facilities and amenities you don't have to pay for, like at Generator and Safeway hostels. Elegant building, great location. We were allowed to consume alcohol on the premises (just not in our rooms), unlike Generator, who made you buy the air you were breathing.

Young privileged guests who ignore the numerous posted signs about cleaning up after themselves. Not the hotel's fault, but somebody has to point this out. Grow up and enjoy the world! Stop whining about petty shit. Stay home if you can't function without mommy

The staff are very nice and friendly, they make sure that everyone is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are nice, there is storage space assigned to everyone and there's space right next to the beds. The bathrooms are ok.

There are some rules which I found strange (e.g. light on and off at certain times, terrace doors can only be opened by the staff). I understand the necessity, however, it would have been nice to slightly open the windows at night as it can be really stuffy with 8-10 people in the room. I would also have appreciated some shelves or something in the showers which can't get wet, so we could have stored our stuff there while showering.

very clean, staff extremely friendly and available to help with any issues, the room was well ventilated in the morning and window closed in the night. everything super clean. activities where fun and if you travel alone you’ll never feel lonely. much appreciated the organized tours, dinners and the club crawling at nights.

nothing to say here, the only thing is that the price of the breakfast matches the one of dinners. i’d keep the breakfast a bit cheaper. but it’s just my opinion. there is nothing really negative i can say.

Great location in Eixample with a huge building, including a roof patio, a (small) pool, a big kitchen, and multiple large common rooms. Sizeable bedroom with individual lockers and each bed having a light and outlet available. Helpful and friendly front desk staff available 24/7 to answer your questions. The hostel provides lots of options for activities and meals too (that I didn't participate in, but they sounded fun!) I slept well in their beds too.

Had to pay to rent a towel. Showers weren't clean - I took one right after a cleaner left that room, and there was a wet dirty towel still in the soap dish. Toilets were also not ensuite, so you needed to remember to bring your key card with you when you went.
