Friendly and helpful staff. They allowed an early check in, which was super helpful. The room was comfortable and had a small enclosed balcony, although some of the views were blocked by signs that the hotel put on the glass. The location is excellent for seeing all the main sites and there are great food and drink options all around. I rated the value a bit lower, but think I paid more than the usual price because there were local festivities for San Sahagun happening while we were in town. So I guess the extra money was offset by the free entertainment due to the festivities. Despite the balcony and central location, with shades closed, was able to sleep easily with minimal noise.

Would like the signs removed from the glass balconies so the views can be better enjoyed.

Very friendly staff. Efficient check-in. Comfortable room, spacious, with airco and all basic necessities. Pet friendly (small supplement of €8). Location AMAZING, really a prime location on Plaza de la Libertad and really only a (very) short walking distance from everything in the centre, i.e. cathedral, churches, restaurants, bars, shops. Parking can be reserved in a garage very close by (check first for availability)

It's a hostal rather than hotel so don't expect tea/coffee making facilities, etc. in the room. However, a small refrigerator would have been useful to chill water, soft drinks, etc.

Perfect location in a small tree filled square just around the corner from the Plaza Mayor. Cheap and tasty breakfast la in the Casino restaurant just 50 metres from the Hostal. Comfy beds, lovely staff, everything was clean. The Aircon worked perfectly which was essential as it was 36 degrees outside. It had a lovely bathroom too with an excellent shower. The hostal has a couple of parking spaces to rent for 12 euros a night in a private car park just round the corner. But it's only suitable for small to medium cars as access and parking spaces are very narrow. And Salamanca is just wonderful!

Location was wonderful and close to the main square. Room location in the building allowed us a beautiful view of a treed garden/square from the balcony. Easy walking from here. Good relation between price and quality.

Parking confusion on arrival. Nearby parking facilities were full, negotiating the streets was hectic, and we ended up in a car park that charged quite a lot. We found out at the reception that we could have parked under the hotel and for less. Maybe we missed that in the description.

I have to say this is the best hostel I've ever stayed. Usually, when I stay in a hostel, there is something to sacrifice. This is not the case. Price - excellent. Location - couldn't ask for more. A 1 minute walk and you're right in Plaza Mayor, the city's heart. Has a small and beautiful plaza right in front. Cleanliness - A plus. A very pleasant atmosphere, very clean, modern look, nicely painted walls, great lighting, air conditioning. Space - great space, had 2 beds, bathroom was even bigger that hotels I've stayed. Staff - always worried about every detail so that I was enjoying my stay. Would recommend anybody to stay at this hostel. If you find available dates, just book it. Don't think about it!

The location was excellent — just a few meters from Plaza Mayor and within easy reach of many restaurants and cafés. The room was basic but had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed and a functional bathroom. I had a lovely view over Plaza de la Libertad, which was a nice bonus. I also appreciated having the option of a nearby parking garage for reasonable price, which made arrival and departure by car easier.

The hotel is great value, clean, wonderful location. Most of the staff were really lovely and very kind. Our room was special, it was a corner room with two balconies. You could throw a stone at Plaza Mayor we were so close! Also loved that this hotel was dog friendly, what a gem of a place!

The woman at check-in was brutish, unkind, impatient and not pleasant to deal with at all.

Everything was extremely clean, the reception area, stairs, elevator, hallways and especially my room.

Upon arrival there was a very strong chemical smell that gave me a horrible headache and made me feel sick to my stomach. I spoke with management (over Whatsapp) and they immediately put a fan in my room. So with opening the skylights and using the fan it became a lot better.The smell dissipated and I was able to sleep vwry well that night. Management was great throughout my stay and would recommend Hotel Conejo to anyone.

Great location, right next to plaza mayor. Street parking available nearby as well as underground paying parking. A late check-in was provided and everyone was very friendly. Clean and confy, nice shower.

Couldn´t figure out the wifi password (maybe because we arrived late, we didn't get access to it because some wifi connections were found)

Nothing pretentious about Hostal Concejo, but it's perfect for couples or solo travellers who want the basics done with cleanliness and friendly politeness. And the location, just off the magnificent Plaza Mayor, is perfect. And it's very reasonably priced.

Nothing, really. Who needs a bar or restaurant when there are so many so near?
