Phenomenal stay in ca'l Bisbe. The room was impressive and well appointed. It was nice having the private courtyard area with views of the Cathedral. The Turkish bath was excellent and the underground pool and steam room made it special. The stay was a surprise for my girlfriend and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They also organised flowers and a complementary bottle of cava as an engagement gift. The service was exceptional and the manager came around to speak to each guest at breakfast and even apologised for the rain!

While it was great that there was a gluten free roll available for Gluten intolerant / allergic people it makes them the poor relative compared to the tremendous offering otherwise available. It would be nice to see an improved GF offering at breakfast. Using tamari instead of soy sauce would also help at dinner.

Stunning hotel, beautiful restaurant courtyard for breakfast, extremely comfortable beds, rooms spacious, stylish and very quiet. Central location and magazine worthy pool areas. Staff great and very friendly.

While the reception, housekeeping and wait staff were fantastic, service at the pool was areas non-existent, by the end of the day the pool areas were messy with towels left out and drinks and food left uncleared for most of the afternoon. No staff available to order drinks when we were at the pool. No staff at the spa area either so when we went to our booking slot we had to find our own way.

Amazing building. Dinner at the restaurant is worth it. Day at the country house was superb. Friendly staff.

We were given the choice between two disabled rooms which was not what we wanted/paid for. At over 500e, it’s not very nice to have to wet the whole bathroom when taking a shower and having a wet toilet. The hotel should sell these rooms separately so that customers can make a conscious choice. The hotel made no commercial gesture to compensate the inconvenience. Also, it seems that the entry price rooms are relatively small, so I would recommend paying a bit more for extra comfort. The breakfast and lunch menu are limited/slightly disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. Pool can be packed during the summer - not great when you’re paying such amounts and can’t find a lounger!

The hotel is absolutely stunning with the most beautiful interiors. A hidden gem as it is in the centre of the city, it really has it all. Not only was there two outdoor pools, 2 spas, beautiful gardens for breakfast and dinner, libraries, hidden corners… this was really an experience I didn’t expect! Made better by the really attentive team, who also provided us with a wedding champagne which was a lovely touch!! Couldn’t recommend enough and can’t wait to be back.

The hotel interiors, buildings and pools are stunning - a feast for the eyes. The location is very close to the very picturesque port and plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars. Although you don't even need to leave the hotel for exquisite food, as the restaurant within the hotel is brilliant. Breakfast selection and service was excellent. Lots of facilities / services on offer, from the spa at the hotel to boat trips on a private yacht.

There was quite a lot of noise through the night from nearby bars and clubs - not something the hotel can solve, but it was a shame to have to wear earplugs and not get a full night's sleep when staying in such a wonderful place.

Loved the location. It was absolutely gorgeous. Excellent breakfasts. The staff was extremely helpful, cheerful and kind. The manager made a point to introduce herself to us, and every new guest, on their first full day. It was very classy.

Couldn’t get a lounge chair by the pool, and we tried for three days. Guests should be asked not to store their extra belongings on a chaise so someone else could use them.

The hotel is discretely hidden in the streets of old town Ciutadella overlooking the cathedral and the port. Fantastic location - opt for taxis if not staying long or not planning to explore too much of the island becasue parking can be an issue. We loved the atmosphere of this place - the moment you step into the hotel its a calming, luxury feeling. The exterior decoration and the lush gardens as well as the interior of this historic building are beautiful. The natural stone on the floor, ceramics, metallic and wood details. Also loved the photographs of Nicolas Guerin, who was a friend of the hotel owner as they mentioned at reception. Booked two simple but stylish rooms (double room with Spa access) on the 2nd floor for our family of four - we had an upgrade which was very appreciated. Tried the Agua Restaurant twice (Good- not exceptional), had breakfast there as well(Good - great selection of fruit, fresh local produce, but their hot dishes like eggs need some improvement), the lobby Bar for drinks (staff are super attentive). the service in general was ok, but sometimes inconsistent. Highly recomment booking Casa de Pau for a full day to enjoy the pool and the Calla fontanells- Nicolas and the chef at the Casa do a fantastic job. especially during high peak days and days with a heatwave like we experienced. It's hell trying to find a spot on the beaches of Menorca in July. Its a must to rent a boat and see some of the callas away from the crowds. The reception and concierge staff were all very friendly and helpful- cheers to Maite the GM, Ignacio the senior concierge- both them and their staff were very attentive

Parking is an issue- free parking 200m from hotel down the port Parking Es Pla. No exterior fans in the hotel or other cooling feature was an issue during 40 C and humid weather. The breakfast can be improved (hot dishes)- the fresh fruit and local products were lovely. Restaurant prices a bit on the high side vs value. No beach!!! It's hell trying to find a spot on the beaches of Menorca in July. so this is not your hotel if you want to be on the beach every day.

The hotel is very nice, in the center of Ciudadella and has an excellent location. It is renovated and completely integrated with the Menorquin style.

Apart from the manager, who is attentive to everything and takes care of the needs of the customers, the rest of the staff seems insufficient and very superficial. Those details that a relais & château certainly boasts are missing.

Excellent location, beautifully designed hotel, lovely welcome and tour when we arrived. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfy, shower fantastic!

Room was very noisy - ear plugs given to help with this but did struggle to sleep being woken up by bells ringing throughout the night and birds on the roof! Breakfast was great the first morning but due to rain the second day I think everyone arrived at the same time and it was very busy - I didn't even manage to get a coffee ordered by the time we left.
