Absolutely beautiful views in quiet neighbourhood. Very stylish place with its own vibe. Swimming pool is gorgeous (I thought it was bigger in real life than on the pictures, although it is not very big). Really nice place! Sidenote: the breakfast is good (not great) and at 25 euros per person a bit over-priced. But as the hotel is 20 minutes walk (10 minutes taxi) from the city center you may still want to do it.

You cannot park your car near the place. They offer you tickets to a parking garage near the city center and two taxi rides for 30 euros per day which is a fair price. They will call a taxi when you need one. However, on busy nights (e.g. Friday and Saturday) I recommend you find a taxi-spot in the city center and pay your own. Reason is: we needed to wait for almost 1 hour on the street before the taxi that the hotel had ordered, arrived. Long story short: it is a very nice place. Get the parking/taxi service that they offer. But on busy nights, for your way back to the hotel, just get your own taxi (approx. 15 euros) and save yourself 45-60 minutes of waiting.

Fantastic location, more like an air bnb than a hotel but lovely room with comfortable bed and two balconies overlooking San Sebastián. Breakfast was a buffet and served fresh food and coffee for €20 a person. We enjoyed both the food and the fact that most of the guests ate at the same table. It took a day to get used to the informality but came to regard it as a home from home!

Parking is in the town centre and taxis are provided each way for each day of your stay. Once we had parked we didn’t use our car during our 4 days in San Sebastián. It wasn’t perfect and wasn’t cheap but it was OK. The staff were pleasant and tried to please but their English wasn’t great (but then nor is our Spanish) so communication wasn’t always easy. Again not perfect but it was OK. We had dinner cooked by the hotel having pre-ordered. The starters were fine but the main course was not good. The meat was tough and my wife left most of hers. It was also very expensive for the level of quality. I certainly wouldn’t recommend eating meals other than breakfast there!

It is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a boutique hotel in every sense! The rooms have been designed with style and comfort in mind. They are well equipped with all you need from bathrobes to toothbrushes. We had the room with a balcony where you could see the whole of San Sebastián which was breathtaking. Our room also had a bath tub with the salts and oil to go with it which was very luxurious. We were able to help ourselves to tea and coffee in the breakfast area. There was always filled jugs of water and every type of milk you could want. Breakfast was great with Marlen cooking your eggs which ever way you want! The reception team were so helpful, friendly and at hand but never in your face. They had great knowledge of the area and were able to give advice. We did have a car which was parked in town where the hotel has an agreement and it wasn’t an issue getting the taxis up to the hotel. The taxi ride is around 8/10 mins into town and around 10-15€ so it’s not so bad. All in all we loved our stay at this beautiful hotel & if you want to escape and have some luxury but be able to get into town quite quickly then please try this establishment!! We would 100% recommend it and would also choose to go back again!

This place is like A DREAM! The photos on the website are nice, but its even better in real life. We arrived to a beautiful sunset. The outside of the building is historical but the interiors are mid-century modern/modern and GORGEOUS. Our room was a nice size, we had a Juliet balcony with a view of the city/bay/sunset and we had our own porch off the bedroom. The breakfasts are over the top and delicious - so much to choose from. The pool is beautiful and the grounds are very well attended and have lots of different areas for setting and hanging out. There is a lot of attention to detail - like fairy lights and candles outside when you get back at night - the perfect spot for a glass of wine and taking in the view of the city at night. There is also a path to the beach near the hotel, but we did not check it out. The staff is so helpful and friendly - they made many recommendations for sites/activities and dining, and they call taxis for you to come take you into town. I did not want to leave, and opted to just stay there and relax and enjoy the property on one morning and afternoon. Like San Sebastian itself, the Mendia Argia is a very special, beautiful, welcoming and relaxing place that you will not forget.

I have no complaints - it was excellent

The staff at the property were fantastic, before we arrived they helped us with reservations, transfer options from Bilbao and were on hand to answer any questions I had beforehand. I had concerns based on some previous reviews of the hotel as I needless to say I shouldn’t have worried. The property is beautiful and located in a serene spot with easy access to hiking routes and has the best views of the city. The hike to the hotel may not be for everyone but it helped us burn off hefty lunches! The interiors are stunning and vary per room and the views are unrivalled, we were lucky to get some sun and spent an hour or two around the pool.

The location is so amazing, the facilities are all very new and clean and beautiful. The room with the bath and balcony was truly divine. The breakfast is good. And the overall environment there is perfect for relaxation, for a solo or romantic getaway. Great! Definitely worth to visit and enjoy this place.

The only thing is that there is no parking at the hotel, there are a few spots to bring your luggage, but the parking is actually in the city center. Around the area of the hotel it is also quite hard to find parking, which is a shame, because there is a beautiful forest with hiking places just up the road, which I also recommend for fellow nature lovers.

Great selection of foods at breakfast. Great views from the Ulia hill overlooking the whole city and a part of the coast. Very helpful and accommodating staff. It's a bit of a walk from the city center (but manageable in about 30-40 mins or so) and it's a nice stroll as long as you're going down, coming back uphill is a different situation, I would recommend a taxi on your way back for sure.

This boutique hotel is stunning. The decor is beautiful, the gorgeous infinity pool with wonderful views. We had room 3 with the freestanding bath and private terrace. The bed was so comfortable with the most amazing pillows. I’d gladly wake up here every day.

There is no parking. Perhaps be nice if the hotel took your car and parked for you. They do however offer taxi service to the centre. The doors really bang soft close would be preferable.

The place is beautiful, with an amazing view of the city. Great attention to detail. The staff was always kind and helpful. The room was very cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and we even found a small snack waiting for us upon arrival. We arrived by car and used the partnered parking service in the city, which was the best solution as it also included two taxi rides in the parking fee. We will definitely be back!

I find the breakfast pretty expensive for a standard buffet with no fresh juice or fruits in summer time, and you can't have dinner there. But they have a very good selection of wines and other drinks to enjoy your evenings
