We had an amazing stay at Gudamendi! The team and staff were outstanding, the rooms spotless, and the location absolutely breathtaking. A quick tip for anyone driving your own car: navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze may often route you through narrow backroads that don’t show up on the standard map view. If you can, switch to satellite mode to spot those side routes in advance. The main roads are perfectly fine, and much more comfortable, especially in rain or on slippery surfaces, while the backroads, though picturesque, can be very tight or tricky for inexperienced drivers. Regardless of the tip, we highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

The views around the hotel are spectacular - particularly at night overlooking the bay and San Sebastian itself. There was a lady who was working in the bar at night and also during breakfast - she was very friendly and super efficient (I didn't catch her name) and made our stay very pleasant. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and a decent size. Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel gardens were nice for a stroll and aided by the amazing views. Nearby bus service into San Sebastion was pretty frequent and took payment cards. The route is also pretty scenic in itself. The roads and fields around the hotel remind me of Ireland! Good secure parking (necessary for Motorcycles).

Its a fair bit outside of San Sebastian, although that's the trade off with the elevated view. We had an interesting time finding it at first as Google maps sent us down a couple of wrong turns - should have followed the road signs! Nothing negative to say about the hotel really.

The hotell is located on top of a hill with wonderful views over the mountains, the town and the sea. Newly renovated. Very clean and fresh. The area is totally quiet and peaceful. The bar at the hotel is good a reasonably priced. Plenty of parking space for free. This is a hotel i could choose for a wedding reception. A perfect place for someone who needs peace and silence.

The location makes it difficult to reach town in the evenings. You can drive up and down, but then you cant drink alcohol. Its too steep for cycling and there is hardly a footpath to walk on. A bus takes you up and down, but it stops going at 22:00. So after a night out, i guess the only option is taxi.

It's in a gorgeous setting, with stunning views of San Sebastian..Very nice rooms, large, very quiet,.Dinner available with terrific views (food not memorable). Nice buffet breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful and accommodated thoughtfully to our special needs. Would recommend ocean view rather than garden view rooms. Would definitely recommend it for couples and families. Play structure and grass for kids to run around on.

One needs a car. Would be very difficult to get to San Sebastian ville without. I would have loved some nicer soap/shampoo --a little thing that makes me feel pampered.

The views are out of this world, the rooms were spotless and modern. Pets accepted at additional cost. Check in was easy and hotel grounds are beautiful.

Having to take our dog to the restaurant with us wasn’t great because it’s small and people dining didn’t appreciate it. We take our dog away because she’s well behaved when left but if it’s their policy then that’s how it is. I found the restaurant staff to be a little unwelcoming but that could have been the language barrier

The room we had was an absolutely excellent family room, perfect layout for us. It was super clean and comfortable. Staff at the property were all very professional and friendly. What was really exceptional was the day we left, we were driving to Bilbao to catch a ferry, halfway there we realised all of families passports were left behind, we had no time to turnaround as we would have missed the ferry. But we called the hotel, and Helmut in reception very kindly found our passports, send us scanned copies of them all so we were able to board our ferry and kept them safe until we could arrange their collection

This is a beautiful property with views of the sea. We had our breakfast on the terrace with views of the sea and neighboring sheep. There is a lovely green area with a play area for children. The staff greeted us warmly and were pleasant with every interaction. There was plenty of free on site parking.

It was too early in the season for the pool to be open for use, however, I would have loved to just sit by the pool and enjoy reading a book.

Really nice hotel with a 'family' feel. It was opening that day for summer 2024 but there was a really nice feel about the hotel. We eat in the bar and the food was of a very high standard -my partner's salmon salad matching my own Calamari -very reasonable prices too. Though it was too cold when we were there you could see they had a fantastic terrace area outside with stunning views-would be amazing in the summer.

Not the hotel's fault but Google maps tries to take you up the small track -much better to drive past this up to the sign and take the longer, bigger road in.

The room was comfortable and the beds and linen super comfortable. The staff were very helpful and lovely they knew everything we needed the all day cafe was a great asset

The out side area of the pool was unkempt and need attention, whilst the pool itself was clean and the area to sunbathe was fine, the surrounds and also the gym needed massive improvement and even weeding , and minimal upgrade wood have made it feel four star. The staff however surpassed expectations.

Lovely views over San Sebastián from the garden. Nice big pool. Comfy beds. Clean room. Good water pressure in the shower. Soft clean big towels. Decent prices at the bar (€3 for a large beer). Free parking for cars - it's a 10 min walk downhill to the bus stop with 16 bus going regularly to the city centre (Costs €1.85 and you just tap on the bus with debit card.)

A bit tired for a 4 star hotel. Apart from the view which is brilliant it just lacks a bit of wow factor.
