The location on the side of the cathedral was exceptional, getting there by car wasn’t that easy but we managed it. we had parking at the hotel so pretty much left the car in the garage and walked everywhere. We were first offered a room on the 1st floor which I thought was very dark so I asked for rooms higher up and the reception staff were very accommodating and found us new rooms which were much lighter. Lots of restaurants in the area and we found an amazing Moroccan restaurant about a three minute walk away. The name of the restaurant is Palacio Andaluz Almona.

Great room, great bed. 2 pillows. I slept well (and I am ultra sensitive about this). 2 suitcase holders. 2 little armchairs plus one chair. Full length mirror. Free flavored cold water in the reception area – but not every day. You get 2 keycards to open the door, and a 3rd one which you can leave in the room, so if you want the air conditioner does not stop when you leave the room. Check-in parking places.

No bidet. The room overlooks to one of the main pedestrian street, and the shouting of the street venders is disturbing, even on the 3rd floor (even with closed windows) – but it stops about 0:30. We are late night sleepers, so for us it was no problem, but if you would like go to bed earlier, it could be an issue.

Everything: location, historical, archaeological sites inside hotel buildings; the Lorca poetry theme; the spotless cleaning… they even had a yoga mat which I used for a session. The staff (Adela, in the morning) solved a challenging frustrating situation- the spa area was not functional- she booked us any available slots for the spa area in the nearby Eurostars hotel, just 3 minutes from us. This saved our stay

The windows face other private buildings balconies, so no intimacy at all. Net curtains must remain closed at all times… but I understand it is the price for being in the heart of Granada

This is a lovely hotel in a great location, it's just off the main road through town but far enough that it's also quiet. It's (unsurprisingly - look at the name) right next door to the cathedral. We were visiting Alhambra and it's perfect to base yourself here and take the frequent buses that are less than a 5 min walk away. Hotel staff were ever present at reception and always helpful. We were lucky enough to have a small suite which was superbly presented and very well equipped with lots of tiny touches that made you feel welcomed. Breakfast was superb, there was a great selection including lots of regional specialities so we got to try a lot of new things both savoury and sweet as well as the usual fare you'd expect from a 4/5 star hotel. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending and if we're fortunate enough to get to be in Granada again it would be tough not to just book here straight away!

Worth it for the convenience — but not quite the luxury stay I expected.

I booked and paid a premium for the suite, but it turned out to be more of a makeshift arrangement — essentially two large rooms joined together. The high, sloped ceilings made the space feel dim, with spotlights oddly positioned and not very functional. The bathroom was also disappointing: a converted bathtub acting as a shower stall — outdated and even a bit hazardous in this day and age. The suite design, lighting, TV setup, and lack of elevator access to the room level detracted from the overall experience. Worth it for the convenience, but not quite the luxury stay I expected. To add to the inconvenience, the lift does not go directly to the suite level, so some stairs are involved — not ideal if you have luggage or mobility concerns.

The location is stunning! The lobby features these beautiful, oversized arched windows that perfectly frame the view of the Catedral de Granada. The staff was beyond amazing! They assisted us with everything we needed—when we asked for help getting a taxi, they had one arranged right away. Every staff member was so attentive and welcoming to anyone in the lobby. The hotel also offers some amazing amenities—I just wish we had more time to enjoy them all! Our stay here was short, but the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the hotel left such a lasting impression on my sister and me. We’ll definitely be rebooking this hotel for our future stay. Huge thank you to the staff at Áurea Catedral!

Basically everything: location, staff, exterior, interior, breakfast. Room was spaaaaacious and very well equipped. Love it.

One thing I can't understand is shower door. It opens inside causing a problem for XL people like me, while there is sooooo much space outside.

Well. Top marks to reception staff. Extremely professional and excellent customer care. The room was faultless. Comfortable bed with top quality pillows and linens. Definitely happy to recommend and return.

Breakfast was not up to standard. Short on staff. One overworked person who did all the running around. The tables had been left to build up dishes. Guests seen to remove them during the course of eating breakfast. As for the breakfast. It was hugely disappointing. The layout was most unsparing and frankly cheep. Not anyway showing the excellent Hotel in a positive light. Food offering needs a management review.

Fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was incredibly helpful, taking the time to guide us on how to explore the city and make the most of our visit. The hotel’s location is perfect — centrally situated with easy access to major attractions and public transport. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options to suit every taste. The customer service throughout our stay was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

great location and it offered parking. just note that parking is on a first come first serve basis but we arrived at 3 and didn’t have a problem. easy to walk everywhere. excellent combination of old world and modern. ladies at the front desk were very helpful and nice.

breakfast was was not good and the price included in the room was 18 euros each but you can pay the night before for 14 euros so feel like we were ripped off and it was not good. for example the bacon was almost raw and the sausages were mini hotdogs. coffee machine was not great either.
