Our stay in Granada was enjoyable. The location was central, and paid parking was available nearby. Our host was very welcoming. The sofa bed, while appearing a bit dated, was surprisingly comfortable. The apartment also boasted a charming little inner garden.

We encountered a minor issue with the heating system, which unfortunately started leaking. Our host was incredibly responsive and arrived promptly to address the situation to the best of their ability. Despite their efforts, the apartment did get a bit chilly at night. It's worth noting that while the inner garden is a lovely feature, there are no kitchen facilities available, including a kettle. If you plan to enjoy breakfast or an aperitif in the garden, remember to bring your own utensils.

Our fault, not theirs obviously but we were above a bar so noisy but we know this is part of travelling. I wasn’t keen on the one long pillow across the double bed I shared with my daughter, I’m sure we could have requested two separate pillows but reception staff not there during the day

Direction to parking space is complicated. With the first picture they should add: turn left immediately after the Melia hotel and then first left. After 100 m the garage is at you right. Other draw back, in our room the airco, which was very good and silent, was directly above the bed making it very cold on you head.

i was surprised to have Encarni greet me by name at the front door when we arrived! we were exhausted after a very frustrating trip and unpleasant train rides. she had explained that while they did not have an elevator for our heavy suitcases, we would be given a room at ground level where we wouldn't be exposed to very much noise from other guests coming and going. plenty of storage/shelf space, water available from dispenser in lobby. Encarni showed us how to get to areas we were interested in and arranged 2 taxi rides for us. she is busy juggling work at Hostal Costa Azul and also a nearby tavern and their contact information appears on the business cards available on the front counter.

too dark to see keyholes and keys often had to be jiggled before they would work. one time we returned to the room and must have spent over 10 minutes before we were able to unlock the door. we tried to send an e-mail and i think Encarni traveled 15 km to get to the hotel to see what was wrong. she said she would have a maintenance person look at the problem. small leak in handheld shower where head attached to hose.

Good size room with sitting area, allowing space for luggage. Friendly staff and rooms cleaned daily. Great location near cathedral and alhambra. Don't be put off by 'hostal' in the property name. Highly recommended.

A door release mechanism on the front door would be much better than using different keys

Most amazing lady to check us in. Location cannot be beat. The room was much bigger than I had realized or expected from the pictures. Two things I think people show be informed about are - there is no elevator and you will have to carry your luggage up a staircase or two, depending on the floor you get. Also, Spanish is kind of a must in Granada. At least the basics. All my communication with the host was in Spanish, but I presume she has a way to translate for non-Spanish speakers.

The only negative which was not a deal breaker to me but a point of improvement for the property - shower hose was leaking so the water pressure was not ideal. Easy fix.

An excellent stay at Hostel Costa Azul. We could not have asked for a better host, Encarni was the highlight of the experience. The room was exactly what we needed, a comfortable base for exploring the city. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance.

I can't fault this place, it's very good value for money, clean, warm and always inviting. Some said the noise from the street was a negative but you are in the centre of a major city, street noise is unavoidable and truthfully it wasn't a hindrance to my sleep. If you're a light sleeper pack some earplugs just in case or asking for a room off the street.

Room was very large with a comfortable bed and a sleeping sofa in the other room. The reception area was very nice with very friendly and kind staff. There was a water dispenser as well as some sweets every morning. Location is excellent right between the main centre and the old neighborhoods with all the sights.

The location of this hotel is great, everything is within walking distance and it is so close to lovely restaurants and cafes. Despite our fabulous location, it was very quiet in and around the hotel which meant we were able to sleep well. The staff were very accommodating, making contact with me as soon as I made my reservation. I was provided with a mobile telephone number and detailed information about how to get to the hotel and where to park. On arrival we were provided with lots of information about where to visit and what we could do during our stay, given that we were there for New Years Eve.

Staff super friendly, location is unbeatable and room was just perfect! We even had a lounge and a terrace with table and chairs! Encarni, the host was the best! She is lovely, always available, caring and friendly. I recommend this place 💯 % and I’ll surely come back soon! Gracias por todo Encarni. Inmejorable!
