I have been to this hotel several times and it always meets my expectations. It is spotless clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms have a good size and the bed is very comfy. Also, their location is very convenient for people who have to take the train in Atocha or a bus from the South Station. I will keep booking with them in the future for sure.

The internet connection was intermittent and it did not work in my laptop (it did work on my phone, though), so I had to use my mobile phone data to work remotely when I got to the hotel in the evening. They did solve my problem in the morning in reception.

Great location. Comfortable room and amenities. Very close to Atocha strain station and many cafe s and restaurants. Staff are very professional and helpful. Great value for money. This was our second time staying at this property. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

This hotel has large tour groups to getting an elevator in the morning would be challenging.

I've stayed at the Agumar several times now and find it a comfortable if slightly old-fashioned hotel. It's a very convenient location especially for Atocha station. You can also get into the city centre quite quickly using the nearest metro stop; and a taxi can get you to the airport so quickly that there's really no need to pay extra for a hotel close to the airport. There's a back entrance to the Retiro Park not far from the hotel, which makes for a pleasant evening stroll.

For the price I'd like to see some extras such as a kettle in the room, and breakfast included! The AC was a bit noisy, and the lifts were rather slow.

The hotel has a beautiful, impressive lobby that gives a luxurious first impression. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and well-maintained. The location is excellent: just an 8-minute walk from Atocha train station, which made getting around the city very convenient. The reception staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, which made check-in and communication smooth and easy.

One small downside was the lack of a kettle in the room, which would have been a nice addition. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant didn’t meet our expectations. We ordered two different main courses to share, and sadly, both were disappointing, even the coffee wasn’t good. It was a letdown considering the overall quality of the hotel. our suggestion if you book this hotel would be better to skip the Restaurant.

We chose Agumar because of its position close to the station . It still requires a walk made more difficult by road construction and heat but neither the fault of the Hotel. It's an older Hotel and the photos could be updated to reflect that but we we were happy with our room and the lounge area downstairs provided airconditioned respite ftom the heat (and we stayed well before the heat wave.) Comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast was well laid out and generous. The staff are friendly and help to make your stay a positive experience. We were grateful for bag storage.

The hotel was very nice and the location was close to the train station. Is was also walking distance to most things. For some it might be far but we like walking so we don’t mind. We chose to take the city tour bus tour or Madrid. This was a great idea because the city is much bigger than one might think and it very hilly. Once we had an idea where things where and what we wanted to see we set out in foot

I was exhausted from traveling and fell asleep early our first night. I woke up with Aisha back ache because the bed was soft but not firm enough. The second night I out a pillow under the mattress to lift the sag and I slept like a dream.

The hotel is just like the pictures. Clean, quiet, modern. soft beds and pillows with hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The room has a mini coffee station with mini fridge that is stocked with sodas/beer. There is an inviting pool and lounge area on the 8th floor, not heated and shallow, but a nice treat at the end of the day and Spain’s 90 degree weather in July. There’s also a host offering drinks by the pool. Don’t miss the adjacent outdoor lounge if you don’t want to sit poolside. Note most hotels do not have a pool. Small Fitness center on the premises. Elevators to each floor with a well designed lounge area on the first floor. A nice Breakfast with bacon, eggs, pastries and coffee is offered at $15 euros each. To get there, we came from the Barcelona Sants train station, buy a multi day pass and go to passeig de Garcia for a .03 mike walk to the hotel. We loved how close the hotel is to the main road of Barcelona with restaurants and attractions within walking distance. We walked to La Sagrada Familia - about a 10 min slow walk. Then took the metro “M” subway back. We even took the metro to the beach and had a picnic lunch from sandwiches bought from the mercat (super market). This was a couples getaway. We would definitely stay again.

Nothing. It was wonderful.

The hotel is basic but ok, some of the staff are very friendly [specially the cleaning ladies and the porters] the others not so much [some of the guys at reception] the check-in process despite of doing it online it takes too long mostly casue some of the front desk staff spend more time chatting than dealing with the guests. The location is great as short walk to Atocha train station and that what we needed it.

The check in is too long despite of them asking you to do it online prior you arrive still the reception staff seem to have to do it all over again so it seems pointless and a waste of time

The hotel was in an excellent location (a quick walk from Atocha station). We had a quiet room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel which was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is large and there is quite a good selection of food though there were a few things missing.

We had twin beds and found the mattresses to be a little on the soft side but for three nights it was ok. The walls are thin and we could hear the people in the next room talking and coughing so I would recommend taking ear plugs just in case! The breakfast was good on the whole but we thought the juices were bad and we would have liked some freshly squeezed orange juice. A larger selection of fruit, yogurts, dried fruits and nuts would have improved the breakfast offering. Also some camut or spelt bread would have been appreciated.

Amazing bed and pillows. Helpful staff. Perefct location; walkng distance to Botanical Gardins, Art Museums, train station, etc. Loved the little hotel Pub for dinner. Good food, good price. Also, there are many good restaurants along/acroass from the Botanical Garden boundries. The room was large, quiet and clean. Would highly reccomend.

There is a ton of construction work currently all upand down the street. Hatd to manuever arou d, even on food. Not the Hotel's fault, but made it hard to find.
