The location is excellent, right in the heart of Madrid with everything close by. The area felt completely safe — I had no concerns leaving my belongings. The hostel is simple but clean, and the price is very fair. The older man working the night shift was extremely kind and welcoming.
The young woman working during the daytime seemed uninterested in her job and not very welcoming. On the day of our departure, I kindly asked if my son and I could stay in the lobby for a few hours after check-out due to our very late flight, but she refused without any empathy.

amazing location, super friendly staff and clean rooms! this was perfect for my 5 day stay in Madrid and for me to come back to and sleep in. As i was alone, I had extra beds and more than enough space for my belongings. Even tho the location is super central (1-2 min walk to the main street) it was really quiet as the windows face the inner courtyard (plus points for all the freshly washed bed sheets constantly hanging in the inner courtyard making it smell nice and clean)
the room key needs to be left at the reception, and guests require to ring the bell to be let in, and in the evenings the entrance door will also be closed, requiring the bell to be rung. however, there were no issues with that, and I was let in fast and without issues

Great value for money, has clearly been modernised not too long ago so facilities are good :) The staff are helpful and there is always someone available to let you into the property / help you out. Location is amazing too, central to everything you could want but also quiet as down a side street.
We had to hand our keys in every time that we left the property and then knock to be let back in. Never had to do this before but I assume keys must have previously gotten lost/stolen a lot.

Excellent location, clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. They were lovely with our toddler daughter😊. Very easy transport facilities and plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.
We missed a simple coffee maker or at least a kettle with some instant coffee/tea. We needed to be let in by staff and leave the key with them every time which was a little odd. Overall nothing too bothersome though.

Staff was super helpful and very patient with our poor Spanish. It felt very safe since there are staff at the front desk at all times. Very clean establishment.
Thin walls, which wasn’t much of an issue just make sure to be mindful of your own noise level when staying here out of courtesy to your neighbors.

The beds were so so so comfortable. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The rain shower head had the right pressure and the right temperature. The check in process was easy and the room was ready on time. the price was very reasonable for the closeness to Gran Via.
They had you leave the key with reception at all times. This is handy not to lose it but I felt bad ringing the bell to get in multiple times a day or after 10pm when it's late.

The location could not be better and everything is very spacious and comfortable. Ideal for a good stay in Madrid.
When we were leaving we asked to keep the bags after check out and they agreed but made us leave very quickly, we had to wait for the airport transfer downstairs because they told us we could not wait there after check out.

I really like the location of the hostel, as it took me 3 minutes to get to the main street. It was safe for me to have a walk even till the night, as I was traveling alone - and the area is quite lighted and full of people. The room itself was clean (and even cleaned one more time!) during my 2 nights stay. Also, the service personnel is polite and kind - I was allowed to leave my luggage in the common area before check-in as I had arrived way too early, and then they kindly put it in my room when it was finally cleaned. The same story was after the check-out as my plane was in the evening and I left my luggage in the hostel for half of the day.
I was not completely isolated from the noises outside my room as the walls are quite thin, so I heard the doorbell ringing and other quests conversations. But it was not so critical and I was able to have a rest. The window overlooks the inner side of the building, which is a terrace surrounded by windows of other rooms. It was not comfortable for me to leave it open during my absence and at night, as someone could look into my room (but the window is protected by a metal grill). Also, the fabric of the curtains is quite thin and see-through, so changing clothes in the room itself was not very convenient and I did it in the bathroom.

Great location, literally 3 min walking from the Gran Via. The room was clean.
Room a bit noisy, coming from the street outside but especially from the neigbhor room... To access the hotel, you always need to ring the door and wait that someone comes and open to you. It would be more comfy if we could get a badget. The safe in the room was out of service. The staff was not really friendly, I didn't see a smile on their face for the 4 days we spent there.

Great location, short walk from Gran Via, good size room with modern bathroom. Lovely staff.
Walls are wafer thin, so we could hear every conversation in reception and neighbouring rooms. It wasn’t that much of and issue for us but something to consider if you are looking for more privacy or have sleep issues.
