I often choose accommodation that is frequented by Germans, particularly in the Canary Islands, because Germans have higher standards and expect better quality. Club Primavera proves my point. German guests in the neighbouring bungalow told me that they were staying for three weeks and they've been coming every year since the 1990s. The location is ideal - right next to the extensive Maspalomas dunes, a 10-minute walk to the bars and restaurants of Playa del Ingles, and close to the southernmost populated point of the area with a 2.3km walk through the dunes to Playa de Maspalomas. There are 16 bungalows, 8 on each side. I asked for a bungalow closest to the dunes, and we were given bungalow 8, which had the best location of all. Bungalow 9 is also closest to the dunes. Bungalows 1 to 8 have sun in the morning, and bungalows 9 to 16 have sun in the evening. The television has a satellite receiver connected to Astra 19.2°E, which is far more impressive than any hotel. Although it seems to be tuned only to German-speaking channels, I eventually found BBC World after I scrolled through almost 700 channels. So there are other language channels if you look hard enough. There are plenty of power sockets everywhere, including one each side of the bed and two in the bathroom. Our bungalow was cleaned on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Other bungalows were being cleaned on Sunday, so maybe cleaning days vary by bungalow. I was impressed that the wardrobes are 56cm deep, which allows full-sized cabin baggage to be left fully open inside the wardrobe, keeping the room very tidy. The safe is the largest I've seen in any tourist accommodation. It's the same size as a hotel minibar, so even the largest laptop would fit. But security isn't an issue because there are always guests sitting outside their bungalows who would notice any suspicious activity.

The kitchen is modern and well-equipped but unfortunately there's no dishwasher. There is air conditioning only in the main room, not in the bedroom; this ought to be the other way round.

The location is accessible by taxi and public transport. There are 16th bungalows, there is a swimming pool, the back door of the accommodation opens to maspalomas dunes, and the front opens to shops, restaurants and bus stations. You have to walk about 10min through the dunes to get to the beach. Back to the accommodation, it has everything you need, stove, oven, fridge, AC, kitchen equipped with all cutlery, cups, bowls, pots, etc. There is housekeeping every day, bringing clean towels, clean bed sheets. If you have early check out and your flight is later you can leave your luggage to the reception for a few hours.

Really great size property and amazing location. The bungalows are in a quiet compound with a supermarket just a short walk away and the dunes just behind. The roof terrace gave amazing views and was a great place to relax privately and peacefully in the sun. For our 7-night stay the place was cleaned daily and we got a change of towels. The shower was amazing and we had so much space in the property. Good size cupboards in bedroom. Back terrace we used for drying clothes. Front terrace had patio table and chairs. Roof terrace had sun loungers.

There were no toiletries and no soap in the bathroom. Would have been good to be aware of this as we could have picked some up enroute. Despite being very warm during the day it got quite chilly overnight. There were duvets available but no duvet covers. We found the pillows quite uncomfortable and they did impact our sleep Reception was closed during our stay, so had to collect keys from another hotel up the road. This also created a barrier to getting assistance.

The location is very quiet and right in front of the dunes. We appreciated the possibility of easily walking to the major locations in maspalomas and we always found free parking around. The bungalow is spacious for 2 persons, and it offered also a terrace with view and small space right in front of the door. We were remotely working from there and the wifi was excellent.

It is not something that I did not like, but maybe we were unlucky, and we experienced very bad smell coming from the bathroom all days we were there. This being said, the cleaning staff was very kind and tried to find alternative solutions however, the smell persisted so for the days we had to stay in and work it was not ideal.

Having to go to another hotel to book in after a long journey would be good to get keys out of a key box at the apartment or someone being onsite

Very nice accommodation, perfectly located next to the dunes. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as supermarkets.

Perhaps the emergency exit could also be used to go to the beach quicker and more conveniently. But it is not that much of an inconvenience, more a quality improvement.

The location was perfect and the scenery was also beautiful. The bungalow was also clean and had everything to our needs.

The only thing that bothered us was that there weren't so much hot water. When showering, after about 3-4 minutes the water was running rather cold so it always had to be a really quick shower but other than that everything was perfect for us

Location is excellent, right on the Dunes, with a fantastic view to the sea. Loads of amenities nearby, walking distance to plenty of things without feeling like you're in the middle of a busy town. Very quiet, very private - only 16 bungalows, in a gated community, small pool, small sun terrace. Cleaning service was second to none! Full clean of the bungalow everyday, including bed, towels, rubbish emptying and even making a small play area for our daughter out of spare duvet, blankets, cushions etc! Very spacious for a couple with a child, large bedroom, small kitchen, table inside, table outside on the patio and a sun terrace on the roof. Grounds & pool were kept immaculate throughout and very pretty. The back gate to the dunes can be opened from the outside - using the same key as the front gate! Staff at the Excelsior II (key collection/management) were so friendly and helpful (it is only a 5 min walk too) Staff at the bungalows were also excellent.

Bungalows could definitely do with an upgrade, the décor and facilities are a bit tired. The template is there, they are very spacious with a great setup: large room, decent bathroom, small kitchen, indoor table, patio, roof terrace etc. Could do with a little modernisation. Pool was too cold to use comfortably (First week of Feb) despite assurances that it's heated. I could have braved it, but not my 9 month old daughter!

Superb location right on the dunes. Immaculately kept. Great views from the rooftop terrace. Very friendly staff.

Unfortunately we had 5 very windy days so the sand was everywhere. Couldn't use the rooftop terrace or the pool. The last two days of our holiday when the wind stopped were blissful. Such a beautiful setting.
