Location is excellent, everything within walking distance. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the patio where you could sit and enjoy the quiet and cool. The building itself was full of character and with many beautiful features. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly.
A very minor suggestion, but I am not sure if Spanish hotels in general provide refreshments in rooms like the UK. This would have been a bonus, but certainly didn't impact on our experience of the hotel.

Highly recommended. Good value and great location. Very centrally located next to the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar. The reception staff were excellent and provided great service Juan in the evenings gave me great restaurants tips and Carolina in the day was helpful. The breakfast is included and was ok, freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing, breads and pastries, cold cuts and cheese, the Spanish egg & potato dish, yogurt but not much cut fruit, coffee. Due to my disability they upgraded me to a huge double room on the ground floor, with a walk-in shower. No safe, they have a closet, a sofa, a desk. As the windows are on the street level all you have to do is close the wooden shutters and it is very quiet. The room was cleaned daily and the bed and pillows were comfortable. They seem to be doing some renovations only during the day, so no noise at night.

The hotel is very charming, especially the main reception areas (courtyard, dining room, staircase). The rooms are fairly spartan but the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are simple but adequate. The breakfast buffet is fairly simple but the food is good quality and includes fresh orange juice. The location is excellent, between the cathedral and the river.
I had a room overlooking the street at the front. This proved very noisy on one night: street sweeping machine at 4am, glass recycling being empties at 5:30 and a family next door getting up, making a lot of noise, moving furniture (!) at 5am, presumably to catch an early plane. However, the next night was quiet and I slept very well.

Beautiful 17th Century hotel, full of character and in a perfect location. Staff are so helpful and friendly, they always had smiles on their faces. Bathroom was gorgeous! Large spacious room with tall ceiling and little balcony looking down to buzzy atmospheric street.
A little bit loud early hours down on the street below but to be expected in such a central spot of the Old Town, and noise easily quietened with balcony doors closed. No noise heard from neighbouring rooms at night!

Location was perfect as the Cathedral was at the end of the street. Arriving in the evening was magical with everything lit up. The hotel was very clean. The inner courtyard a lovely peaceful feature and all the tiling was a hint of what we were to later see at the Alcazar. The rooms had plenty of storage space with French doors onto a Juliet balcony with views of the street. The bathroom was spacious and the water hot. Breakfast was a cold continental buffet - plenty of fruit and pastries etc. We would definitely book again
We were grateful for the lift but it was a little noisy at night

The hotel entrance and common areas are absolutely amazing, like a mini castle, with a central atrium. The hotel is also positioned perfectly, close to cathedral and many restaurants, yet quiet at night. With notice they provided gluten free bread for me at breakfast, there was also fresh orange juice, sliced meats, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurts, many pastries (no hot food) and there was plenty.
No complaints really. The hot water tap wouldn't stay off properly, but this was a new issue, and they thanked me for showing them. I would love to come back and stay again!

Nice little hotel with lovely staff in the heart of the historic centre and just a few steps away from the cathedral and other places of interest. (It's surrounded by some excellent coffee shops and restaurants and there's a tram stop and taxi rank at the end of the street.) Our room was definitely basic (no TV, no tea/coffee making facilities etc) but we expected that. What we didn't expect was the close proximity of the building opposite and the ensuing lack of privacy. but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and what the room itself lacked in character was more than compensated for by the foyer downstairs with it's fountain and traditional metal and tile work. So, a reasonably priced, basic hotel in a really fantastic location.
Lack of privacy...it's not pleasant having to keep curtains drawn so as to avoid being constantly overlooked and it made the room feel very claustrophobic.

Being the second oldest hotel in town (1917), the hotel was virtually untouched and a real time-capsule. Absolutely loved the grand early twentieth century spaces, full of antiques. Our room was huge, and incredibly quiet, as the house is an old, sprawling posh town house, with small corridors leading to just one or two rooms each. The hotel itself was one of the highlights of our trip, which took us to several places around Andalucia. Really worth a visit. Pretty unique, and we will be back! The location was really close to the cathedral, so very central. Lovely friendly staff too!
We liked absolutely everything about this quaint hotel, but it would be fair to say that, if you like to watch a bit of television in your hotel room, this hotel is not for you, as they haven’t got any tv’s, which probably explains the cheaper price (no bar or room service either). The only mod coms they have is excellent wifi and airconditioning. So you could always find a something to watch on your portable device instead!

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town. Oozing with character and the staff were delightful.
The shower head was rubbish - a tiny stream in a huge shower cubicle, so it was rather cold. Also there was no bar fridge, which was a bit of a hassle as I have meds that need refrigerating. The staff were very kind and kept it in their fridge for me, and it was my fault for not checking for an in-room fridge at booking. Also the room was very dark - one tiny window (TINY) in a set-back dormer window, so it was basically pitch black without the light on.

Hotel Simon is a real gem. The location is perfect - a two minute walk from the Cathedral and everything surrounding it. The room was super. A great size and a door prevents any corridor noise coming into the room. It's historical features are everywhere and really add to its charm. It was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice and regularly filled up. The staff were amazing and really helpful. We arrived very early and they took our bags and then we checked in later. They organised our early morning taxi too. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
We loved everything
