Warm friendly welcome, host Sonia very proud of her lovely city and keen to provide a map and key information which helped us make the most of our 3 day stay. Perfect location, spitting distance from the magical Gran Mercat. In spite of central location it was really quiet and peaceful. We really appreciated the effective air con and toiletries provided in the spotless bathroom. Beautifully strong shower! Room made up every day but no pressure to get up early! NB booking.com states you pay extra for bedding but this is NOT the case. Welcoming entrance area with complimentary teas and pastries, low cost for coffee and cold drinks available 24/7 a nice touch. They were very happy to look after our luggage at the beginning and end of our stay. Friendly, helpful staff on the 24 hour reception. Very special family run hostal, been in the family for ages. Very homely but professionally run. Would return in a heart beat! Thank you!

I had to arrive in Valencia day earlier than planned and chose the Hostal Antigua Morellana for the extra night after reading some excellent reviews. I certainly wasn't disappointed. This cosy, delightful little hotel down a back street in the very heart of Valencia, very close to the wonderful Mercado Central and historic Lonja de la Seda, is an old family business now run by charming and very welcoming sisters. The room was small and simply furnished, but what it lacked in facilities, (don't expect a minibar, room safe or kettle), it more than made up for in charm, cleanliness and attention to security. In fact the whole experience was more like being a guest in someone's much cherished home, rather than a hotel stay. Thank you María Carmen and Sonia for your hospitality.

There was nothing not to like.

As other reviews have mentioned, the location is excellent, and the room is very clean. What impressed me the most was Sonja and her team, who made our trip to Valencia truly wonderful for me and my boyfriend. Staying here felt just like coming home. Sonja is a beautiful and elegant lady. Although we didn’t share the same language, I trusted and liked her at first sight. She reminded me of my mom back in China. When we were leaving, she even saw us off to the car. I regret not giving her a big hug before we left! With the arrival of the New Year in 2025, I’d like to send my best wishes to Sonja and her family. Until we meet again!

We had a wonderful time in Valencia, and a big part of that was thanks to this charming, cozy hotel and its lovely staff. It’s a family-run hotel, passed down from father to daughters, and it has a special atmosphere filled with warmth and positivity. From the very first moments, we were warmly welcomed, surrounded with care, and given helpful tips on what to see in the city and where to have breakfast. Every morning, we were greeted at the reception with a smile and kind wishes for a great day. The atmosphere was delightful, everything was impeccably clean and tidy! If we ever come back to Valencia, we will definitely choose this hotel again. ¡Muchas gracias por la hospitalidad y el cariño! Lala and Tural

Sonia and her familly were very nice and helpful! It was a pleasure to meet her. The hotel has a great location, the bed was comfortable and overall we liked it a lot.

It can be a bit noisy in the morning when the garbage truck is passing to empty the bins. But luckily we had to wake up around that time anyways, so it didn't bother us that much. Something I didn't like was that during cleaning they threw away my razor. I didn't appreciate having it thrown without my consent and without being placed in the bin. Regardless, this was a small inconvenience. I would still stay on this hotel again, we really liked it.

Room is very clean and neat. Not really that spacious, but the wardrobe is quite big, easily fit in our luggage, to keep the walkway clear. Beds are rather soft but comfortable. There's satellite TV with streaming services. Wi-Fi works very well. Would have preferred room with a street view, but that's ok, it's more quiet in the night. Very friendly and kind hotel owners, explaining the check-in procedure to us in details, recommending us the sights to go, how to get around, some of the restaurants to try out, and also helped to get a taxi for us after check-out. We're even allowed to check-in earlier, which we appreciated after long hours of travel from elsewhere. They're rather particular about security. Location is right inside the old town, very close to the market, and walking distance to most of the sights. Lots of restaurants, and some mini-marts nearby.

Not many power sockets, as we've a number of electronic gadgets to charge, but not much of an issue.

I booked this property 5 months prior to my stay and during this time I never looked for an alternative, not even once, I was just sure this place is the perfect choice and once I got there I found out my feeling was completely right. The location is simply perfect, you are in the heart of the historic center, just a couple of minutes form Plaça de la Reina and a walking distance from every other point of interest, everything is close by. Also there are lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops around, the area is very lively, but at the same time it is not too noisy and you are able to get a good night’s rest. The facilities are very clean and comfortable, also we felt extremely safe as the reception works 24/7 and there is always a person present there, ready to assist you in any way possible. Each person we met was so lovely and helpful, especially the two sisters who own and run the hotel. I also recommend trying a treat from their family bakery just a minute down the street as everything we tried there was so delicious! It truly shows that the family run their businesses with a lot of love and dedication. We truly loved our stay and would be more than happy to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!❤️

One of my best hotel experiences. As many people have commented Sonia and her family are lovely hosts and made us feel welcome before we arrived with quick responses, when we arrived and all through our stay. The hotel has a homely feel, good soundproofing, and fantastic location in the Old Town close to all the major attractions which are easily walked to, and lots of restaurants. We loved the free fresh pastries provided each morning, and also visited their family bakery just down the round (a must).

Our stay here was very nice! Perfect location, 9min to everything! You are right in the middle of the centre. Really lovely and friendly staff that is always there if you need anything or just to have a chat. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms they were cleaned every day! There's tea and coffee station at reception with lots of space to sit down and relax. I mean, we couldn't ask for more. If coming back to Valencia will definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a lovely stay 🥰

Everything. The owner/s particularly Sonia we spoke to mostly...soooo helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful clean room and bathroom with excellent water pressure in shower. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee in lovely lounge area with pastries from bakery to have each morning. Hotel in perfect spot to get all main sights easily ...so easy to pop back to hotel at any time fir a rest and cuppa...as tea and coffee available all the time. Beautifully and tastefully decorated hotel. Would not even try anywhere else next time.
