Our stay at L'Esplai could not have been better! Our apartment was spacious, decorated beautifully, and immaculate, which was wonderful for our four-night stay. The location was fantastic, being less than a five minute walk from Plaza de la Reina and the Cathedral, and all of the sights were an easy walk away. And (this may sound crazy!) the building has an elevator, something very welcoming to mid-70s travelers lugging their bags through Europe! Africa, the host, serves absolute delicious breakfasts and is a wealth of information about Valencia. This B&B is a winner!

Absolutely nothing

Beautiful interior design. Very clean. The decor throughout is stunning and something else! Feels like a beautiful home away from home. Classic English vibes mixed with Spanish history. The wallpaper in the bigger room is a dream :) Everything has been thought of including little boxes for the different rooms in the fridge where guests can store their food. Very clever!

There is no one at reception for check-in in the afternoon and evening. They sent me several emails about my check in time which stressed me slightly as I am a last min kind of traveler and like flexibility. Could not find an ironing board but I am sure Africa (the owner/manager) would provide one if needed. However, I needed to head out on the night of arrival and did not have any crinkle free clothes. Because there was no one at reception, I could not iron my clothes. No coffee in the rooms. I like to have a coffee before I meet any people in the morning :) Extended my stay but was not told the rate with them. I would have liked to know as I could have made another booking on booking.com knowing the rate and I could have booked a bigger room with a desk which I needed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious and light and there was daily cleaning. The decor was lovely and the bed was extremely large and comfortable. Sergio and Africa were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were all off a central, communal lobby area where there was a fridge for you to use and store your refreshments but also complementary teas, water and coffee. It was a lovely cosy area and the place where breakfast was served. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay in this property again when visiting Valencia.

Having travelled a lot over the years we cannot recall any accomodation with kinder, more helpful hosts. While staying at L'Esplai Valencia was hit by a severe storm so that we were not able to leave the city by train as planned. The host did everything possible to accomodate us so that we could stay on, absolutely felt like family, so sincere and heartfelt, just wonderful! Communication was great from the start with nice welcome at reception, lots of advise what to do and where to go. Apartment absolutely clean, modern, stylish, very comfortable and cosy, did sleep extremely well. Great location right in the centre of Valencia, easy to walk to all kinds of sights as well as good restaurants and bars all in walking distance. Absolutely recommended, would come back to L'Esplai every time when visiting lovely Valencia!

Everything!!! I can't say the accommodation was comfortable... Because this is not an accommodation but your Spanish home when you are away from home. The room is beautiful, decorated with love and wonderful details. Immaculately clean. The bed is fantastic to sleep on. The location is phenomenal!!! The crown of all this are the people who are your hosts here, Africa and Sergio. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and see you again for sure ♥️

There is nothing here that you might not like. Except you have to go home.

The location was a side street off Plaza de la Reina, where the famous Cathedral of Valencia is located. It is beside all the restaurants and bars. The main shopping street is approximately 7 -10 minutes walk. The metro is about a 10 minute walk and takes you directly to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was made fresh every morning and was delicious. África was a super host, very attentive and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful and cozy hotel. The location in the very center, near the Royal Square, you can't imagine a better one. From the Sorolla railway station, direct bus 31 is only 10 minutes away. The hotel itself is wonderful, very beautiful, in an 18th century building, the ceilings are 4 meters high, decorated by a designer with fantastic taste, every thing is in its place, everything is comfortable and very beautiful. The room has 2 balconies with a beautiful view. The staff is beyond praise, they have thought out every little thing that will make your stay comfortable. Nothing at all

The staff was nice and helpful, the room was cozy and with a generous size, location was adequate for someone who wants city center.

Pillows and mattresses weren't the most comfortable of all. Only one size of pillows which makes it difficult for those who don't like high ones.. the acoustic of the room wasn't great, one car heard most of the noise on the street.

A small gem right in the centre of Valencia! The staff is super friendly and makes you feel being hosted by friends. My room (XEREA) (one of only 6) was simply beautiful with a very stylish Spanish touch (traditionally tiled floor, high ceilings with stucco and vibrant wall paper) - just lovely! A varied breakfast is being served at individually chosen times around a big table. Highly recommended if you look for a cosy place with an induvidual atmosphere!

The weather ;-)

The room decoration is very beautiful and the hotel owner is very aesthetic. The apartment has a high ceiling and looks very grand. The balcony overlooks the bustling street and the sound insulation is very good so it doesn't feel noisy. It felt a bit cold when I first entered the room, but there was air conditioning and it warmed up after turning it on for a while. The location is very good, easy to go everywhere.

Nothing wrong. Only there is too much scale in the kettle, and it would be better to do a deep cleaning.
