Nice location, good facilities. Yes, it is dated and yes there is construction - I don’t think you can complain about both. My room was nice, phenomenal view and i was able tho check in early. Lovely staff, I was here for a conference and the food throughout was great. (Function team - I think tea, coffee and water should be available through the day). Very pleasant executive lounge - I was travelling alone and felt VERY comfortable.

I think this is purely cultural - I would have preferred the staff to tell me more about what’s going on. The pool is across the road - I only knew this from reviews. I would have appreciated being told that kind of thing, and where breakfast will be. That might just be my Lilly white (B*tt) needing my hand held. Staff are lovely when approached

Spoilt ourselves with a 5 star accommodation upon arrival to Sri Lanka. I probably should have stayed here on the last 2 nights of the trip and at the start. Sundowner drinks by the pool is a must. Great vibe in the foyer in the early evening. Lives up to its 5 star rating. Special mention to Natal Gunawardena for her care and follow thru of any issues we had. Natal certainly sets the bar when it comes to customer journey. Well done

Not worth mentioning, but found it annoying the spare bed wasn't already set up, considering our 1am arrival to colombo. Buffet breakfast vanished without warning.

Spacious and stylish lobby ground floor with reception , excellent coffee/ cake shop, restaurants and well kept gardens including fish pond. Comfy bedroom with views. I particularly recommend to include breakfast for the wide choice it offers. I also recommend the emperor’s wok warm design and tasty Chinese cuisine with excellent service.

Bridge over the road to access the swimming pool and gym. Gym building , with sauna , massage facilities looked a bit tired . The Graze restaurant was so popular with evening buffet on Friday evening that a la carte had a waiting time of 40 mn. Issue with concierge service where correspondences and request for train information before arrival were not answered. That’s been taken up to management to follow up during our feedback .

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Colombo. The cleanliness of the hotel is perfect and the hotel staff are very friendly and kind. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and requested for connecting rooms which we got which made the stay more enjoyable for us. Our room had an amazing west side view of the old Parliament building and Lotus Tower. The pool, a little walk away, but worth it. Great facilities here. My son enjoyed using the gym, saying it's probably the best hotel gym he's used. The food was great quality. The Sri Lankan food is OK but not as chilli hot as the authentic dishes which helps if you're not used to it. My Sri Lankan auntie didn't approve but if you're not used to authentic spice levels it is a fair level of Sri Lankan cuisine which suited us. There are many different world cuisines available but we only wanted Sri Lankan! We used this hotel as a base to see nearby families and it worked out perfectly. I can get quite moody when I can't cope with the heat so it was nice to be refreshed and in a good mood before visiting family! ☺️ We mainly used the PickMe app to get around in Colombo. If you want to be comfortable and secure and ease yourself into holidaying in Sri Lanka this is a good place to start before trying more authentic Sri Lankan hotels.

Only reason I didn't give 10 stars is because it would be nice to see more authentic food or events in the hotel.

The staff were very accommodating and always willing to assist with any request we made. The view of the room was superb The location was very convenient and easy to navigate around.

There was ongoing renovation works, which was not disclosed at time of booking. It was a bit inconvenient with the noise starting early at arnd 9am. The in room dining service needs to be expedited. Takes too much time for prepping and delivering. A house keeping staff entered the room after saying “house keeping” just twice and in less than a minute. The room was already done and i do not understand why he had to come again. This incident made me very uncomfortable as i was alone in the room at the time. Thankfully i was wearing my hijab, otherwise i would have raised this issue then and there. He left after just asking if everything was good.

In an atmosphere of calm. In the business center of Colombo, among the skyscrapers, there is a hotel whose name no need to introduction. Ladies and gentlemen, Hilton Colombo is pleased to welcome you! The stylish and at the same time concise contemporary design of the hotel wouldn’t leave even indifferent the most capricious guest (which I am 😁). Guests are greeted by a large lobby area with a smooth transition to the bar area and a stage for musicians. Yes, in the evening you can enjoy blues and soul in a live performance by a jazz-band. The lobby is bordered by a buffet area where you’ll get a view of a pond with black swans surrounded by lotuses. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are full of a variety of dishes. The courteous and competent staff is always at your service. The rooms have everything for your convenience. We stayed in a superior room. Spacious, quiet, clean and very comfortable. The room had a view of the city and the lake. You can relax by the pool in a special area among tropical greenery. Definitely we’ll come back again! Best wishes, Alla R.

On the whole the property was excellent. The beds and very comfortable and the room was luxurious

The service. We visited twice before we stayed, and each time, we ordered food. None of us got the food at the same time; indeed, my three companions had finished their food before mine had arrived. Also, whilst the staff appeared to have a good command of English, it was clear instructions were not understood. We ordered drinks on many occasions, which arrived and were not what we asked for.

Breakfast was fabulous.

Our tour leader got our last nights' accommodation for $70 U.S. for the room as we departed at 7pm. However unfortunately we had already paid for this last night with Booking.com and were unable to receive the refund of $139.70 U.S ($232.63 Australian). I was very unhappy that a hotel like the Hilton was unable to refund us the money paid to booking.com so we could just pay the $70 U.S. like everyone else on our tour.

Excellent location, rooms were comfy, and friendly staff going above and beyond to ensure that we had wonderful stay. We had the chance to experience breakfast, lunch and the dinner buffet and they are excelllent with a wide range of selection from different cuisines. Greatly appreciative to the staff and the chef for agreeing to do a special meal on request as I was feeling quite sick one day and had to request a specific meal. Absolutely enjoyed our stay here.
