We had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams. We booked the suite, and the room was absolutely amazing with a great view. The service throughout our stay was excellent — friendly and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. The highlight for us was definitely the buffet restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were incredible! The food quality was top-notch — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even though I'm not usually a dessert person, I have to say the desserts were outstanding. The sushi was also very good! The kids club was fantastic and kept the little ones entertained. We also enjoyed the well-equipped gym, and the pool area is just stunning — amazing view and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a luxury experience in the city!

We had the most incredible experience staying at this brand new hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable — their hospitality truly stood out. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that you could enjoy from nearly every corner. My room was absolutely beautiful, with modern, sleek decor and every amenity I could have asked for. What really made our stay unforgettable, however, was the food and the pool area. The hotel boasts multiple restaurants, each offering a unique dining experience. Whether it was a casual meal or something more upscale, every dish I had was delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared. We had the absolute pleasure of having a couples massage in the spa and it was unreal!! Overall, this was an amazing stay, and I can’t recommend it enough. The combination of outstanding service, gorgeous views, a luxurious room, and exceptional food makes this hotel a true gem. We’ll definitely be back!

The room was well-equipped with all necessary amenities, and the washroom was also large, clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was efficient, with daily cleaning. Additionally, the breakfast seating arrangement could be managed more efficiently. While I was guided to a table on the first day, there was no one available to assist on the second day."

The hotel had only been open for a few months. There is still work going on in the hotel, the Casino and shopping mall aren't ready yet. The accommodation is spotless and very modern, the pool areas are lush and welcoming. We had a great stay here and would come again.

There were alot of private parties in bars which meant that the bars were closed so we had limited options for the evening. There were parts of the hotel that had teething issues, things like hooks missing in changing rooms, showers not working, systems not talking to each other. It was quite hard to leave the hotel due to access points.

What an experience. The newly built hotel is chic, gleaming white, high end and luxurious. The design and layout of the hotel plus the tech extras in the room would rank this hotel in one of my top 5 (we travel a lot). Breakfast has a choice of traditional Sri Lankan and European. The curries were excellent, food choices were endless. Only with the Anantara group have we found so much choice. The hotel has a chilled, polished vibe, the bars and restaurants are decorated to a unique, high spec. Staff are attentive, professional and friendly. Well done Cinnamon hotel group, you've outclassed other hotels on many levels.

I had a wonderful experience with spacious rooms and a beautiful view of the Lotus Tower. What truly made our stay special was the amazing team, especially Sanjay, the Executive of VIP Services. He went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, he ensured we were well looked after and was available throughout our stay. Thanks to the attentive and thoughtful staff, our entire experience felt personalised and catered to our needs. The kids' playgroup was a hit with our toddler — the staff were fantastic and made it so much fun. Highly recommend for families looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable stay!

All staff were amazing and extremely friendly. I have been to many high end five star hotels and I have to say this is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in not just in Sri Lanka but globally. They also have a butler service which was extremely helpful. They will even help you pack and keep your kids entertained while you eat. Price is very reasonable and buffet was excellent. Especially the dinner buffet. Some of the local dishes were probably the best in the country. Would like to specifically mention the names of the people who helped: Butlers: Ali, Nigel, Amitha Bell desk: Mervin, Dulan There was also a child play area with really enthusiastic staff and very good Spa. Location was very central and amenities were brand new and exceptionally well kept. If you are in Colombo I would recommend to stay here over anywhere else. NB: Not just in Colombo but across the globe the services here is unmatchable.

The only thing I didn’t like is why Cinnamon brand is not looking after their other properties the same way they look after this proper. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about both Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lake where most the times even the Air Conditioners don’t work and hotels smell of mould in some areas. Cinnamon group needs to seriously improve their service across the board and not just this hotel. As for this hotel I am hard pushed for any negatives because there aren’t any. This hotel probably is one of the best universally.

We absolutely loved everything about the property! We stayed in a beautifully appointed suite for two nights on full board, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. One of the biggest highlights was the exceptional service—from our personal butler to every single staff member we interacted with. Everyone was genuinely friendly, respectful, and always went above and beyond—truly giving their 110% to make sure we had the best possible experience. You could really feel their passion for hospitality, and it made our stay all the more memorable. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was peaceful, and we honestly had the best time of our lives.
